Love this ice cream. I'll have to take the tour sometime.
absolutely try the vanilla ice cream. It's the best ice cream I have ever eaten and I don't even have a point of comparison because it's that good. This was a delicious and very interesting experience. Lots to be learned about chocolate here you can do a factory tour and also read about the cocoa plant. They have a nice informative about all the different steps in making chocolate. The chocolate they've designed as both delicious and beautiful and they seem to be reasonably priced for a designer chocolate place. We very much enjoy the ice cream that is made in an over 50 year old machine but is delectable. I would say that if you're in bed and it is definitely worth the trip to titillate your taste buds here.
Fine for what it is. The self-guided tour is low-scale but free. The small seating area lacks charm, but this is the factory, not a proper sweet shop. A perfectly good way to spend 20 min. if you're in the area.
Took the quick tour watching the two ladies make chocolate candies. Come before 3p. Make sure you see the old conveyor belt machine called
" Lucy " The new one is called
" Ricky ". Remember the " I Love Lucy " episode of Lucy & Ethel working in a candy factory [ for only a couple of hours LOL ] wrapping candy. Classic, if you've never seen it, google it !!
Chocolate extremely expensive @ $33 a lb. !! I bought a couple of small bags of their " mistakes/ oops " candy. You can sample their flavored popcorns too.
Wonderful treats!
Great smells!
Pricey but understandeably so.
Worth it. :)
I love this place... I havent been on a tour yet this year but I liked the ice cream candy and popcorn they have... I hope you have more cheese popcorn coming in soon you didnt have any when I came.. the ranch popcorn is good... I think I need to get the jalapeno flavor corn for my friends back in California...
This Goody's (on Division St.) is the best one! Popcorn always tastes fresh, not soggy from sitting out all day. Great selection of ice cream & I love the edible cookie dough!!
Fun little free, self-guided tour. Our 3-year-old boys loved it. Starts with a cacao tree and relic display, and then you walk through a hall around the small factory looking in at the workers and machinery through windows. About 10 minutes. Got to taste a piece of chocolate and some flavored popcorn after.
Good place the tour is okay if you go right when they open it seems like it slows down later in the afternoon great popcorn and good fudge.
