As someone that needs a mobility knee scooter and is luckily able to afford a new one for $100 I am out raged. Its not a toy its a medical necessity my scooter was the only way I could get to the bathroom or eat for 8 weeks while my foot was healing.
Charging $79 for used medical equipment is unethical, immoral, and does not convey goodwill. It is taking advantage of the injured and disadvantaged.
Bought $32 worth of merchandise. When I got home, I realized they forgot to put two items in my bag.
I called the store to find out if they were holding the 2 items there for me. First person I talked to asked what the items were and put me on hold. Second person picked up the line and asked me what the items were again and put me in hold fir 10 minutes. Angela the manager was rude and hung up on me. I immediately called back and again
they answered the phone and immediately hung up on me and I hadn't even said a word. I called back a third time and spoke with a "newer" cashier and she said that they coukdnt find the items.. She then told me to call back in the morning to speak with the store manager named Michelle. Its no wondee that I did not receive my items as the cashier and her friend were chatting the whole time...like I wasnt even there. This Goodwill on Southern and McClintick is HORRIBLE. for customer service! Im going to call in the morning to see if they can help me again. I mean...I did PAY for these items!
I have been a loyal goodwill shopper for years. I donate to them regular. Most of my Items are name brand/designer. I went into the store today for the first time in a while and I was SHOCKED by what I saw. The prices have gone up a ridiculous amount! Pants for $15 and $13 shirts!! Goodwill is getting greedy and have forgotten this stuff was GIVEN to them for free. Won't be back to shop or ever donate. Give to a church instead.
I recently visited this store and was absolutely appalled at the way I was treated by the manager at this store. I was accused of smoking in the bathroom after literally being in the restroom for 30 seconds, obviously a poor excuse on his part. The entire time I was shopping before this incident I could clearly hear the manager complaining about his district manager so obviously he was not having a good day. It is in bad taste and frankly shocking what I just went through . I did absolutely nothing wrong other than be a loyal customer. And in turn I was embarrassed, wrongfully accused and told to leave the store. I get that people have bad days but the way this guy was acting was completely out of line. I do not understand how he holds the title of manager. I hope goodwill reaches out to me because they deserve to know about how he is acting in their stores if they don't already. I am concerned because I visit this store often and it will be disappointing if I can no longer visit this store simply to avoid contact with this individual.
Poor management. They will fire you if you re in the hospital even with a doctors note. Work there employees to death. Give young girls shifts where they get off work late at night knowing they don t have cars. Management knows nothing about the laws regarding time off / critical illness and hospitalization good luck with that Goodwill. You are a privately owned store with dump truck managers That cater to the tweakers in town.
**WHO ELSE GOT A JOB AT THE GOODWILL EVEN ON MARCH 12TH 2020**
I got a job at goodwill on March 12, 2020, was to start on March 17, got a call on the 16th saying you can't start yet. Been in communication the recruiter the whole time Have all the emails but yet it was reported to unemployment I was a NO CALL NO SHOW WITH NO START DATE. Left you an email with all said emails and I'm still ignored! No resolution. I used to LOVE goodwill but you screwed myself as well as my FAMILY. This will NOT be the last time you hear from me.
Donate today and put people to work. I m not sure if everyone knows but the Goodwill store locations in Phoenix are incredible. Please stop by one today and donate what you re not using.
