They Didn't Have Anything I Was Looking For, Employees Tried To Help, But There Wasn't Much They Could Do, Other Than Say Sorry, Try Back In A Day Or Two. But They, The Employees, Were VERY Knowledgeable About The Products They Did Have!!! & Although I Didn't Find What I Was Looking For, I Did Find A Few Things That I Couldn't Live Without!!!

My husband, who is a disable veteran , his service dog, Niko, and I were visiting Eugene, Or when we decided to check out the local Goodwill at 1010 Greenacres. While in the store, Niko became ill and vomited. My husband apologized profusely to several employees and offered to clean it up. Shortly after that, the store manager, Ed approached us and stated that we need to leave the store because our dog made a mess and he wasn t completely trained. My husband explained that Niko was trained but that he had gotten sick, which is not something anyone could control. We attempted to continue our shopping, Ed was never far behind us. At this point it felt as if he was following us. The store was crowded and my husband stumbled stepping on Niko which caused Niko to reactively bark. It was a quick bark and was not directed at anyone other than my husband. Shortly after this, Ed approached us and very loudly began berating my husband. Ed stated that our dog had barked and growled at a customer and must leave the store. My husband attempted to explain what happened but Ed continued to berate my husband stating out dog wasn t trained. Niko is very trained and was doing his job. My husband was humiliated by Ed causing such a scene and we left the store.
I called the store and asked what the mangers first and last name was. The lady who answered wanted to know why I wanted the information. As I was explaining to her that I wants to file a complaint she hung up on me.
We will NEVER visit this store or would we recommend it to anyone. For a store that claims to support people with disabilities you would think they would provide better training. Thank you Goodwill and Ed for humiliating my husband. Your support means so much (sarcasm)

I visited this store yesterday. I live in Drain, so I am traveling from WAY outside the local area to shop here. I found some very nice brand new "salvage" air filtration units for a great price. Here is the reason for one star - When I went to check out, I forgot to ask about the 55 and over discount that is USUALLY offered and prompted by the cashier, at every thrift store I have ever shopped at. That is when it occurred to me that the cashier did not ask if I could take advantage of any discounts. I was informed by the cashier that they were now not ALLOWED to ask if a customer qualifies for any discounts, "senior" or other wise. When I pressed her further, she explained (with an obvious look of embarrassment) that because 1 person complained because she was "OFFENDED" that she was asked if she wanted or qualified for a discount. What total BS this is. Because ONE person was VAIN and IMMATURE they had the ability to change the standard of service for the rest of us by complaining to the management? Well guess what? I AM OFFENDED THAT I WAS NOT ASKED, AND I AM COMPLAINING! This is a huge disservice to your customers, senior and otherwise that are on limited incomes and my be unaware that they could take advantage of that benefit. UNLESS..... This is some back handed way to appear to be "Politically Correct" in uber-liberal Eugene while laughing all the way to the bank? I would not put it past you folks to use this strategy, all the while claiming to "help the community". Exactly what community are you helping by doing this? My conclusion is yourselves and your corporation by increasing your profit margins. JUST SAD AND HYPOCRITICAL. I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF THE POLITICALLY CORRECT BS AND CATERING TO THE CRAZIES BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU MIGHT GET SUED. GROW A PAIR PEOPLE!!!!

My favorite Goodwill in Eugene. This one is special because it has a huge selection of computers, parts, monitors, hard drives, and video games. Most of the best computer stuff gets brought over to this Goodwill, so your best bet for finding classic PC, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, Gamecube, Wii, and other games is to come here. I regularly find classics like Starcraft 1, Warcraft 3, and Quake for $5.

They get the items donated for free, I thout googwill's name ment that! Goodwill. For thoes haveing less money could get some close, and such. To make there money streach. But it seems not the case. Insted higher prices are going to build bigger, more trendy store's, & higher wages for manigment. One case the Springfield Oregon store manager,. Turns and burns new employees before the 90 day probation, so she dosen't need to pay them a higher wages. ( Is This Goodwill too them, or the Couminty ???) I thank not!!!

Very organized unlike a lot of the Goodwill stores out there. My reason for 4 stars.....they are WAAAAAY OVERPRICED!! this store in particular had a pair of Gucci shoes used (not even guaranteed to be authentic) for 99.99! A TV stand for ONLY 99.99! Many things are overpriced and it's kind a shameful they do this with DONATED items. Portland has some great stores with GREAT pricing but this , this is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I know it's for a cause but honestly, some items can be bought in a department store for a few more dollars if you are at least half witted in the shopping category.

The most expensive Goodwill in Eugene or Springfield. I purchase a thousand used puzzles a year and at most every thrift store they are 1 to 2 dollars and here they are upwards of 5 dollars.

To whom it may concern,

To whom it may concern,
I will begin by saying you have lost a customer who donates four to five times a year and shops at all your locations frequently.

This action by that manager was absolutely deplorable. He should be retrained as a manager and severely reprimanded.

I can t believe a company that s stands for what Goodwill stands for would allow this to happen!

I hope action is taken.

Sincerely,
A Lost Customer- Rex Vollstedt

I love this place! On this trip I found this amazing hand painted Chinese fan in an excellent frame, an authentic tribal rug, a Japanese teapot, a beautiful coat from Banana Republic, and more! The friendly staff and manager helped me unroll the two rugs I bought in an out of the way place. Also, the clerk wrapped my breakables well and with a smile. They always greet everyone who comes in. When I peruse the jewelry case, which can take me an hour sometimes, there's someone to patiently assist. Oh, and I always buy my computers here, too!

Like with any thrift store, you have to sift through the junk. But there is a lot of great stuff here. Paid sixty bucks for what would have been well over three hundred dollars of clothes and shoes.
But it seems likethe store is short staffed. There has always been a wait, and the counter people have been reluctant to cash me out

All my life the Goodwill was a place that poor people could go to shop at cheap prices and still help the community. It came in handy when you didn't have the money to get by. Now it's like a high-end second hand shop for the rich and trendy. So overpriced. I saw a pair of jeans for $40??? St Vinnie's is no better. It's just sad.

This is worst goodwill I have ever been too. It is consisantly awful. Good stuff and ok prices but the employees are just the slowest, rudest I have ever come across. What s the deal? The other Goodwills in the area re just fine. Really sucks.

This goodwill is huge. It has a fully organized electronics shop built in, and the staff is always knowledgeable and ready to help. I've found some really good items at this store. If you like treasure hunting, or just need an extra monitor or a spare mouse for your computer, this is the place. If you need a particular cord for a device, check here before spending a fortune at a retail store, chances are they have it hanging on the wall, organized by type. Plenty of parking. Must mask up to enter.

Friendly staff but the company over prices one every thing you mite as well go to Walmart and pay the full price they also treated their employees horribly especially their disable employees are froce to work up to min wage and they screw them over. Don t shop where or any other goodwill again they are money hungry jerks this saying on the bottom of this post is for every single goodwill out their but mainly the this one

Some stuff is priced way too high, but most things are fine. Tons of clothing. This specific location also has an awesome electronics department set aside from the rest of the store, that offers computer repair services.

Staff is constantly rude and uptight.

Staff is constantly rude and uptight.
I once had an employee bump into me when they were in a hurry and failed to apologize.
Whenever I go there the whole experience feels stressful and I do not feel comfortable shopping there.

I think this is the highest priced Goodwill in the area. Selection is good, but not the place to get a blender, ironing board or extension cord ... Walmart is same price or less. Nice people, but line to check out is always long.

Cheap and tested used computers - piles of non-fiction books that retail $30-$120 for a few bucks - tons of pants, shirts, and shoes that work. All of the complainers are just hung up on Goodwill's nonprofit status and hiring sketchy people with poor retail skills. It's a pricey part of Eugene, so yeah, they charge more here. And obviously you can expect some circus characters employed here when Goodwill prominently advertise their hiring of felons, half-way housers, and rehabers. Duh.

Squee!

I love this Goodwill because it has the Electronic section. They clean and test everything. I would much rather come here than a used game store even though there's currently a "no return policy" here. Some of the prices on the used games and devices are outrageous, but I always come back to see what they have :)
