We stopped on a Friday afternoon, bar tender was rude. Just not a great atmosphere for a brewery

Friendly people, great beer, great environment. The place is just fantastic. I will be so happy when they finally distribute to Nashville.
Great place to hang out with your pup. They have a large beer selection on tap. There is also a gift shop and plenty of outdoor/indoor seating.
Good People Brewing is a really cool place to visit because its right across from Regions Field and the atmosphere once your inside is fantastic. Would give 5 stars but the parking can be challenging at times and beer is not quite on the same level as other craft beers in Birmingham.
Most appropriately named place on the planet. Great people and great beer here. Excellent, friendly staff. This place is our favorite brewery in Birmingham. Kat, Kerri and the rest of the staff always make us, and the other patrons, feel like family. They are the reason why we continue to come back.
Since renovating the tap room, this is by far my favorite microbrewery in Birmingham. Get the bearded lady for a smooth intro to their beer.
Best brewery I've been to in Alabama! I live outside of Huntsville, And the beer is amazing!
Good beer by Good People with a really good atmosphere!
This place kind of feels like the "big tougher brother" of the Birmingham family of breweries with it's large industrial style taproom accentuating the city forged by steel. Like Birmingham, Good People carries that southern-rugged disposition but with a bit of comfort, class, and swag that you can look up to and appreciate; even find yourself wanting to be apart of the family! Good thing is, Good People makes you feel at home with open arms and plenty of indoor/outdoor space & seating to relax and enjoy several offerings of good crafted beer with friends, family, or other good folks alike.
Wedged in the panorama view of Railroad Park & Region's field, home of the Birmingham Baron's, you'll find more than a few activities to take part in while visiting. They even have several games, like corn hole and giant jenga, out by their covered patio. And while this isn't a brewpub, you can usually always count on a local food truck to be parked out front, or enjoy authentic Chicago deep-dish pizza next door; all of which are welcomed inside the brewery. And last but not least, if you enjoy pet friendly places, they are welcome to come along, just as long as they're "good pets" ;) They have a few water bowls waiting on them just in case you'd like them to have a drink with you! So go enjoy, & cheers!
Not only good people making good beer but doing numerous things to help others, the town, and the planet. Every time I happen upon a good cause, it seems Good People Brewing is involved. We don't need nike, coke, and bud... We need Good People! (go Jason & Michael!)
My girlfriend and I drove up from Mobile with the intent to tour the brewery and we were not disappointed. Good people is aptly named. Greg gave my girlfriend and I a tour of the facility and a background of the company, and I can honestly say I'm impressed. Good People brewery does beer right. My favorite is the Coffee Oatmeal Stout, but the Brown Ale is hard to beat. I can't wait to try some of their new lagers, it's not often that craft beer brewers have lagers. Keep up the good work Good People, we'll be back!
Great brewery in a great location. Spend your afternoon their and your night at the baseball field. Their brews are some of the best (anywhere)! Snakehandler is a personal favorite.
Incredible tap room with a friendly wait staff. Be sure to check out the local art fairs, concerts and events that they have on weekends.
While visiting Birmingham, a local friend brought me here. Awesome space, so cool to see where the drinks were being made. The Snake Handler was an amazing experience and by far my favorite, but I enjoyed every beer I tried.
Awesome brewery with great beer. Kyle was our tender & very knowledgeable of their brews. MILITARY friendly, it's rare to find a military friendly place now a days, but this is defiantly one of them.. Good People is where we will grab a beer when every we are in Birmingham. Thanks Kyle for such a great experience! Semper Fi!!
Great selection! The best local brewery Birmingham offers, by far!
The beer is really really good but the bartender, is pretty rude and seems as if she s never in the mood. I won t say her name. She Didn t really have any suggestions for beer. Just didn t care. I was so taken aback by her demeanor. She s not the only reason I don t think I m returning. There was dog hair everywhere (inside), spiderwebs, and cobwebs everywhere. I will continue to support but just buy it from Target or the gas station.
Great beer and great atmosphere. I am from Cincinnati and they made me feel welcome. Will definitely be back.
Really chill vibe. Feel free to bring your dinner inside while enjoying friends
Really cool brewery that s in the perfect spot downtown & serves up tasty beer!
Open spacious facility with friendly staff and tasty brews. I tried the Farmhouse Ale and the Bearded Lady. Right across the street from the ball park.
Best beer in Birmingham. Always try to go by there when I go back to bham. Newly updated in the past year gives it a nice refresh! Games to play outside, usually a food truck, and of course, next to regions field.
My favorite watering hole. Right next to Railroad Park and next year, the Barons, so the location is awesome, not to mention the fact that it has the best beer brewed in Alabama.
Best brewery in Bham. Great beer great people, always a good time
The place is open and keep social distance, bring your own food and enjoy beers, music. Open till 12:00am.
Beer are good with bitter flavors.
I was asked to leave because the bartender was the only person waiting tables and she couldn't handle another order. This was today at the airport. Unbelievable!!!! I fly from BHM frequently and I will never step foot in there again.
You can tell it s been established for a while. Not too thrilled with the originality of the beer selections though-all pretty basic and very bitter on the up and ins. Would say basic IPA and Juicy the smoothest bets. They seem like they are involved in lots of community events and fundraisers though like 5ks and beer charity of the week. Brew room with good tour items, lots of small group spaces inside and out. Best feature is they are across the street from Regions Field which prosperizes their business and patrons have a good option to go hang out at.
Best local beer selection and honestly my favorite brewery period. This place is dog friendly and just all around friendly in general. I really like that their beer always taste the same from batch to batch, which is not something that every brewery in town can claim.
Really good beer, but their staff is terrible. I've been here several times and the experience has been the same each time. They've been established long enough to understand to staff up for the weekend, so there's no excuses. If you can look past the overwhelmed staff, then definitely come by and have a brew or six. There's normally a good food truck outside if you need to grab a bite to eat, too. The Buffalo Rider is a tasty Shandy Gaffe, for those who like sweets. The flagship IPA and Snake handler double IPA are two excellent IPA's, for those who enjoy grapefruit. The Coffee Oatmeal Stout Brown Ale is one of my favorites out of their collection. Enormous coffee flavors dominate your palate early on, then an enormous amount of Willamette hop flavors sweep in as a cleanup crew. It's a wonderfully complex brew full of flavor yet tasty and palatable. Also, it is brewed with coffee from Octane Coffee Roasters from Birmingham, AL.
Awesome place that's run by a great group of people. Check it out you won't be disappointed!
Killer beer. Did a 4 beer flight and had a hard time choosing what pint to follow it up with. In these covid times you can feel safe at Good People
There are 3 things you need to know:
1. Good People does not actually endorse good people. The employees were rude.
2. The beer is beyond mediocre. Unless you like IPA s, your options are very limited.
3. It is overrun by children.
If you re in the area, you can do better.
Friendly staff. Great locally brewed beer selection. Growlers, growlers & cans to go available as well as a small souvenir shop. If you're interested in a tour, call ahead.
These folks know their craft beer. We enjoyed a variety of brews and lived talking beer with the staff. The location is amazing. Parking wasn't the best, but worth making an effort.
Best staff and amazing brews. Always come here to grab a great drink. Free the Hops!
Every time we go to five points we come here or to a Barons game. We always must stop in.
A plus to is that they are dog friendly!
Great beers.
Try snake handler because it has the hardest bite out of all the beers in Alabama!
Had a great time here with some friends. The Hard Lemon Seltzer was tasty, I aslo had the Nitro Gordo and it was delicious. Highly recommend giving this place a visit.
Damn find beer, good bartenders who know their beers, and a great atmosphere make Good People a great brewery and a perfect place to bring folks from out of town. They also frequently have food trucks in the evenings including Eugene's Hot Chicken, Smoky Sam's, and Cantina on Wheels so you can get some good eats to go with that delicious cold beer.
Can get crowded, and parking is difficult, but definitely worth the visit.
Great place to grab a microbrew before a Birmingham Barons game at the ballpark right across the street!
Had to pick up some of the Best beer in town. Always uplifted to stop by and the all the pretty people who stop bu
Good atmosphere, live music, huge jenga. Fun place to hangout!
We had a nice time here. Place was very busy. Staff was efficient. Nice patio area, rained a bit but afterwards was ok. They had racing activities going on at the time. Had a raz bearded lady, it was very good and family had a couple of beer flights. Ate some delicious tacos and corn from a food truck on the property. Ladies on truck were friendly and efficient and very accommodating. Asked for chicken only nothing else for family member that was not feeling well and it was no problem. Had a good time there.
Great location if ur going to a game. Otherwise cops got every road blocked. Huge brewery. Some good stuff but nothing exciting.
If a horse can be medically treated with it then IT'S MY BEER!!!!
Great local watering hole, dogs welcome, steps away from Regions Field, Railroad Park and the Central City district!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and most importantly tasty beers. Very unpretentious, a good place to bring people who are new to town or want to get into the local beer scene.
Good beer. Laid back. Very dog friendly. The staff is great. Great food trucks often and Tortuga's pizza delivers all the time. I hang out there about once a week.
Been here a few times, and will continue to go back. Good atmosphere, great beers. Usually a food truck outside serving up tasty food to go with the tasty brews.
Great beer, love the location and the staff are very cool. Just a great place to hang with friends and have a few.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and clientele, giant brewing facility! This brewery is more of an opportunity to brush elbows with a local brewing titan than anything! Super sophisticated vibes, located right across from Regions field.
This is an awesome awesome bar. The owner rocks! We're business school students visiting Birmingham and it was such a great bar experience.
Me and my friend went to this place on an evening. We tried their food and drinks. We were really happy with the quality they served. Moreover, the place a very different and unique vibe. We went their just for a drink or two, but we ended up spending around 3 hours at this place. The place has a very good vibe that binds you in itself and you enjoy staying there. The staff was really polite and made sure that we got each and every service in time.
We strolled in Easter afternoon and were lucky enough to have the bar staff to ourselves. They curated our flights and pointed out the fine points of each. Delicious. Next time we're going back for the tour.
