I have to say i am sad to see the old shop footprint be replaced by what is now just a posh supermarket. It has now lost the magix which is what i think used to be so lovely to call in there for.

Shop here all the time for my meat - It's non halal. They have a great variety of cheeses veg and other stuff to which is produced locally. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff. *****
Just what the road needed a shop with more variety. Now we don t have to pull into co-op and fight for a parking space. A real shop with a farm shop feel. Don t listen to the Neigh sayers leaving negative reviews, get with the times
Fantastic food, friendly and knowledgeable staff at prices you make get have expected. You do get what you pay for though :) Cheese, meat and fish counters are impressive and are a great source of ingredients for a special meal.
What a good transformation to this farm shop. Was surprised to see budgeons was in there as well but lots of items now stocked.still sell the farm meats etc & we're a few half price items sell by date. Would visit again.
My partner and I used to come here regularly, and we have happy memories of sampling produce from the cheese counter, buying fresh fish and pies, frozen pastries and fruit. I popped in today (after not visiting for a year or two) and was More
Was one of the best farm show around, until the refurbishment...yes it looks updated but it has lost a lot of its appeal and now looks cramped. It's saving grace is the meat counter, fish counter used to be a good size but is now stuck in the corner. Also used to get a great selection of fresh cobs but the filling selection has been cut down by about 70% at least
Wide selection of local products. Some items like meat and veg are not always fresh. Generally prices are 50% higher than the average supermarket. However is the best place for the whole food shopping in the area
Very good farm shop with a huge range of things on offer. Deli counter, fish counter, and very ample butchers counter. Good selection of breads, and the usual cakes, preserves, ales etc. There are good deals to be had on packs of meat too. You can spend a lot of money in places like this, but if you're on a tight budget like myself, but want to shop at local businesses, it's possible to get veg, eggs, meat at reasonable prices here.
Brilliant service and lots of good deals. Fantastic selection of meats and cheeses along with unique jars and condiments. Definitely recommending to all!
After the refurbishment and budgens takeover I'm dropping my review. Sadly lost it charm with aisles of pot noodles and confectionery replacing unique gifts and food.
Used to be a lovely farm shop. Now a conveniencse storeon a farm - Budgens (Booker whilesale - i.e. a Tesco).....
Products highlighted as locally produced e.g. a bakery in Newark having cakes containing such delights as emulsifiers and glucose fructose syrup. Might as well get Mr Kipling...
Deli and Fish counter now tiny and checkout staff surly.
This is my absolute favourite place in the entire world!!! They don't just sell cakes here, it's amazing! Though you may find yourself coming in for some proper good quality sausage rolls and end up doing a weekly food shop!!! The staff here are all so friendly, I actually want to live there!!! I honestly can't wait to go back, you can buy everything! From pots to pans, olives to ice creams, presents to decorations!!! Definitely recommend that you go there!!!
Gone completely downmarket by linking up with Budgens(owned by Tesco). What a shame. PS Photos are of the old shop and unrealistic and now they are out of date.
The Budgens transformation has certainly changed things at Gonalston. It's lost a lot of the previous farm shop charm but has saved jobs and provided local customers with more choice. I wish them all the very best.
Bit pricey but it is a posh farm shop ;) Best freshly made on the premises by their own butcher fair hand, dry'wors and biltong in Nottinghamshire (5*)
we make a fairly long trip to the farm shop to pick up very reasonably priced meat of a high quality. its always been well worth the journey. helpful friendly staff and a great range of produce, although I personally wouldn't buy their prepackaged stuff as its generally available closer to us in normal shops
Friendly helpful staff, easy parking. Perhaps not the cheapest place in the area but the produce is excellent quality. I can recommend without reservation
Has a good range of produce is a good drive out and a good place to go for locally sourced produce from meat veg and bottles and jars of various chutney and oils
Collected my very first order this afternoon from Gonalston Farm shop. Really really pleased and happy with the produce, in terms of freshness and quality. A special thanks must go to Abby for her help, cheerfulness, enthusiasm, understanding my initial concerns, sorting things out, and finally loading my shopping into the boot of my car when I came to collect. (I am disabled and walking is a problem). All this , whilst working under difficulties that we all face. I m sure the rest of the staff are just as enthusiastic, but I haven t met them yet.. lol I will be placing an order again soon. HAPPY EASTER . Chris
