I wish my five year old could go here year round!
So many activity choices, he came home happy everyday and called this the best camp.
He made a ton of progress swimming (he did not swim at all when starting), and even had the option not to swim one day when he felt tired, he played chess instead.
Thank you for making my sons summer! He had a great time, and I loved being able to walk over and peek in.
Our 13-year-old enjoyed this camp as it was generally well-run and the staff members were engaged and fun to work with. Our one criticism would be that kids like change and novelty. For each given age-based small group, the schedule of activities was the same every day, which got boring by the end of the week. Granted that it requires a different tracking and monitoring structure, but our son would have preferred to be able to try different activities from day to day. Something to consider for the future.
Really happy with the experience we had with Golden Eagle Summer Sports Camp. This was a first class experience from start to finish, and my kids had a blast. The camp staff was courteous and knowledgeable. My kids can t wait to go back. If you re looking for a top notch sports camp, look no further.
A wonderful time for our kids. We have be coming here for two years and have found the counselors and other staff to be very friendly and caring. The kids love the activities and the Friday fun festivities. They are a great little operation that I have encouraged all of my friends that they too should try out.
Great camp for all ages! Both myself and my sister went to this camp for many years. Golden Eagle is a locally owned family run summer camp and definitely has a family feel and attitude. There is something for everyone. The staff is professional, patience, caring and ensures that everyone has a fun safe time, even those kids that aren't super sporty. Life long friendships formed at Golden Eagle! Parents can rest easy while your child has a summer full of fun.
A fun and local camp. I love the exciting activities that they have here and the staff are all so fun. We have attended before and took a quick tour for my youngest to see the facilities before he starts this summer. Overall I am very pleased with the camp and we will be returning for many many years. This is a secret gem that my family truly enjoys. My children absolutely love the Golden eagle camp. What I love is that they are super flexible and the staffing is always super friendly. I would definitely recommend this camp to all of my friends and family if you are in the need of a summer time activity for your children. Keep up the great work Golden Eagle Camp and I am excited about coming back this summer!!
Awesome camp -- our daughter loves it!
They offer absolutely tons of sports, including: soccer, dance, wrestling, tennis, swimming, golf, and gymnastics. They also have chess and checkers as well as rotating creative arts and crafts. The counselors are enthusiastic and super fun. Our daughter loves swimming, which is great because she gets to do that everyday. Then she chooses from among the other sports and activities whatever she feels like doing. Although the regular camp ends at 4pm, they have aftercare until 6pm. She's obviously made a ton of friends because she hates leaving at the end of the day. We don't use it, but I believe they also have care before the camp begins at 10am. There's a great BBQ every Friday that's included -- the rest of the days we pack our own lunch. Also, the camp is super reasonably priced. We can't wait for this summer to start!
I finally got rid of my mama bear fears and allowed my big in stature, but young in age cubs (lol) enjoy several summer weeks of sports camp with Golden Eagle Sports Camp w/o my presence invading their space to grow and learn. My biggest fear was the swimming pool as a result of my two near drowning experiences that I had many years ago. I also had other fears pertaining to their safety (ie. someone or something hurting them). Fortunately, my professional relationship with one of program directors eased my fear enough to give it a go! It was one of the best decisions I made and experiences for my sons had!
The program is structured to maintain safety from start to finish! The kids are separated by age in most activities and/or skill level depending on the activity. They got to learn about and play a variety of sports. In addition to learning and playing sports, the program taught them the value of good sportsmanship, being a team player, the importance of listening and following directions. My sons established positive peer and staff relationships, their confidence grew, and they became more autonomous.
With no hesitation, they will return for a second summer. Thank you Golden Eagle Camp for creating a program that fosters fun and growth!
Two summers ago, my husband and I enrolled Jade at Golden Eagle. Because she was only 5 at the time, we were worried she wouldn't get along with the other kids and would miss the comforts of home. However, we were surprised and happy to see her open up to others and develop physical and social skills. The counselors there were nice, vigilant, trustworthy, and took their jobs very seriously. Everyone at this camp genuinely cares about providing the kids with a safe and fun experience regardless of the activity. The large variety of sports and activities lets each child find what they are comfortable with and doesn't force everyone to like something. I loved how Jade could choose between arts and crafts, or gymnastics or soccer, and had different options everyday. I return every year, and would highly recommend this camp :)
