Gold Key Resorts Review

The room smelled like piss as we entered . Which led us to check the bathroom & come to find a dirty toilet . Staff were rude & unprofessional ! Don't waste your time here folks !

The people are very nice and informative. This is a company that manages the workforce for alot of the big hotels.

Switchboard operator and staff were clueless and rude. Before letting someone work alone... TRAIN THEM!!!
All I wanted to do was get info on the tour so I could try out one of their rooms before buying the timeshare for my family and friends. But I couldn't even get that far!

These people just will not take no for an answer. Walked out of the restaurant and was pounced on by a salesman like raw meat. Fifteen minutes later I say no and we walk away. A block down the street there is another one, we are picked out of the 3 families on the sidewalk. We tell this guy that we already told his colleague no but he proceeds to run his face anyway. Man alive! I already said no, I want to go home, and I don't want to buy your damn timeshare! We have been to VA Beach a couple of times in the past and have never experienced this. This along with other changes we see in the area making us not certain we will ever come back.

BEWARE!!! DO NOT WAIT YOUR TIME OR MONEY FOR TRAVEL FOR THE TOUR!! Was very skeptical about going for the tour period...I said what the hell ill see what they are talking about...when the gentleman approached me and when telling me about the timeshare I told him no about 6 times.He kept insisting that I try it and offered me a free nights stay when I got there after the tour and a 50.00 dinner card with no obligation to purchase. So I agreed...me not ever been to a timeshare tour I had no idea what to expect. When we arrived everything was so nice and everyone was so polite...then when the gentlemen came to get us to sell the timeshare thats when I felt overwhelmed...2 hrs of him explaining how it works and trying to negotiate to get me to purchase the timeshare...I told him no I didnt think it sounded realistic. ..so he leaves and after him 4 more people came...I have never felt to pressured to purchase something in my life...these people cant take no for an answer...needless to say they finally got the hint and left it alone. The hotel room that I was suppose to get turned out to be a crop of bs...I left there very unhappy and have no intentions on EVER buying a timeshare...them people turned me against timeshare. Take it from me and dont waste your time!!!

Very disappointed took the tour with gold key and not pleased sounded like a rip off.

Knew it was just too good of a deal!!!! Don't waste your time or money for this place and their time shares. I got a time share from goldkey and ASKED IF COMPANY stability was solid . Young lady named pam smiled and said we are taking this company to ( NEW HEIGHTS ), they sure did!!!! Packed up and sold you and your information as well as your time share to Diamond Resort international. No one at the quote ( Discovery Center ) wants to help or answer questions about something with the condo. What's showed to you on the Tour is CRAP. Purchase one and get ready for the shock of your life. When you have a question about your unit you get put into the line up BS for the sales pitch about bigger and better than before BS... avoid this place and go with Hilton or Disney timeshare offers. The problem solver to changing my week.... Oh you need to purchase some points and buy this new non deeded unit that has POINTS. SORRY WHOOPIE BUT THAT DEEDED UNIT YOU WANT BACK SO BAD IS A TAX RIGHT OFF FOR ME ..NOT YOU

This has to be the worst street hustle on the planet. Oceanaire, which is now Diamond Resorts is horrible. The manager onsite is a whimpy condescending individual. Someone must have told him he was the owner. The pressure of their sales associates has to be borderline harassment and illegal. They are so polite and KA when you walk in the door. Then when you decline their offer, it like you stole their 1st born. They flip from Jeckyl to Hyde in an instant.... Heed my advice very carefully....DO NOT.... I REPEAT...DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.. AND YES IT IS PURE CRAP...

I was called by this company two weeks ago came in to a timeshare seminar was very disappointed this company is a scam to the highest level there's no free gifts at all you have to pay for your vacation plus Hotel so nothing's free they get you in there make you these promises but dont deliver nothing I would stay away from this place its cheaper to use Airbnb do do it

Double charged me and refuses to do anything about it other than continuing to make empty promises to refund.

Awful place to work....coworkers were rude to one another and dishonest with time share owners. Anyone who rated this with 5 stars did not get their maintenance bill yet!!!! Their predatory sales tactics will catch up to them soon enough.

WARNING...Please read review first. Gold Key Resort is a billion dollar industry, and they offer timeshares. I have been stuck in a timeshare with them over several years. Go for the free drinks and gift, but no matter how great the deal sound do not take the bait. Never seen the unit, and now I'm trying to make a purchase they have a foreclosure on my credit. They never let us view the property, and we never got to vacation there. Paying maintenance fees and monthly fees. It's a SCAM, but legal in there eyes.

Do not be late for even one payment. They will harass you every time a payment is due even if they are on time after that.
Be glad to retract this if they acknowledge this and stop the harassing phone calls.

Gold Key is a great company that sets the bar high for quality projects in Virginia Beach!

The sale staff are way to aggressive in the street. They need to tone it down a bit! Almost ruined my first time in Virginia Beach vacation.

Stay as far away from Gold Key as possible. They are run by three brainwashed people who have been there forever and are clueless.

Our experience here was great!
We did get caught off guard by a member of their team when we were just trying to buy Tickets for the Rudee Rocket boat ride.
His name was Marcus.. and he was very kind and offered us free tickets for the boat, $30 dinner credit and a 3day/2night getaway JUST to hear them out for 90 minutes about what they had to offer and take their tour of OceanAire. Sounded good and we weren't in a hurry.
He walked us over to the location and we were greeted by ALL the staff that saw us. We were offered drinks and didn't wait long at all to begin.
Riana was the one to do our tour and she was very professional and pleasant. She explained everything very thoroughly and it sounded great. It didn't quite work with out budget, since we just finished our 7 days vacation but a manager came out (Charles) and helped us figure out something to help us out, and we now are happy time share owners!
Every single person we met there was very well mannered, pleasant, and extremely helpful.

I have worked for Gold Key PHR for over 8 years now and it has been a great experience. In my time with them I have been able to grow my career while working alongside colleagues that have become friends. I find each day to be a challenge but in a positive way that keeps me excited and engaged! It is always hard to find work life balance in the hospitality industry but Gold Key PHR supports their associates to find that balance.

We are timeshare owners it is way more affordable than I thought. There staff is wonderful catering to any need we have. First time in Virginia Beach we were at a awful hotel the gold key staff got us moved to a different hotel and the rest of our trip and every trip after has been wonder for our family of 4 :)

Excellent Company that offers a phenomenal product and puts people first. Nothing but great things to say!

Terrible organization. Office and business staff are very rude. My phone call ended after being transferred around five times.
Beachwoods property in Kitty Hawk, NC is run down and now an absurd "special assessment" to maintain the property. Where did all my maintenance fees go through the years. Though I hated to pour more money into this pit, I received one notice for the assessment but now, because I was in the hospital and not available to open and pay my bill on time, an additional $220. is tacked onto an already ridiculous fee. I had the check made-out and in the envelope but was treated so rudely by Ryan in their business office, I have decided to hold onto that check.
