Goblin Hill Villas, San San Review

The staff is friendly the view is nice and the dishes are spectacular

Book into villa for 2 nights. The safe has no keys. The 2nd day I open the coffee maker to use it, could not. Extremely dirty. Left my villa at 2.30pm came back at 9pm room was not cleaned. Excuse they don't have a spare key for villa. No one came to clean all morning, or said anything to me. The property is a lovely property. Has not been maintained. Kitchen awful, no cable or t v, you can only download movies which takes for hours.

Goblin Hill Villas is in a beautiful setting, the rooms are clean & comfortable, the staff is very helpful, and the grounds are very nice. The lack of a restaurant is unfortunate, requiring guests to drive into town for a meal. There is an option to have your maid cook meals for you in your room, but to me this is strange and uncomfortable, so we did not do this; I've never seen this before, and it was not desirable to us. I am a birder, and not once during our 3 days there did they change the contents of the hummingbird feeders, so the birds were avoiding them. I know that other birders also stay at Goblin Hill, so to cater to those clients they should keep fresh nectar in the feeders, and also install a fruit feeding station for all the other birds.

Beautiful place. Close to everything. Our 2nd time here. We will be back

The venue was private, with spectacular views. Wonderful staff that was quick to assist with whatever is needed. Spacious living quarters with kitchen. We stayed in a 2/2, but no A/C or bedroom downstairs. No phones in villas to contact front desk. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend this venue.

I went there... turned off my phone and laptop and did nothing but relax. Quiet and tranquil... will be returning to escape from Kingston. Beautiful views.

This place is great. Comes with a well equipped kitchen if you're into cooking or at least making breakfast for yourself. The property is beautiful and lawns are well manicured. The pool is well maintained and the facilities are clean. The overlook was breathtaking (pic included) I hardly wanted to leave when it was time to do so. If you're in need of reliable Wi-Fi this is not the place for you as their Wi-Fi is super unreliable and cell phone service hardly picks up in the area.

Beautiful villa layout, service, taxi and view! But the rooms are in need of serious TLC. The ceiling was peeling, the beds were nasty and the kitchen drawers were broken. The fridge had mildew. There was a janitor closet in the front of our villa with dirty mops and buckets. It was just so distracting! I can tell at one time that Place was so special, but not anymore :(

I have stayed at Goblin Hill 4 out of the 5 times I have visited Jamaica and have always found them to be a beautiful habitat located within the 'untouched' portion of Jamaica called Port Antonio. However, my last recent visit/stay left me a little surprised to find Goblin Hill needy of minor renovations. The rooms are in need of paint, knobs need to be replaced on closets, drawers, etc., and some ceiling fans are either not working or not there (as one can see by the wires that are hanging visible from the ceiling to accomodate them.) Our refrigerator "konked out' towards the end of the visit also. I must say though, the housekeepers are a delight and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I still love Goblin Hill and will continue to patronize this magical habitat but a little renovation is in order. Hopefully, political Jamaica will help as well as the owners.

Nice view but no tv or internet in the rooms. Need to go down to lobby for that.

You need a car to get there from any airport but loved it . The lady who was our housekeeper was brilliant .Purchased our food, cooked all meals and kept the place spotless. The beach was a walk away from where we stayed.

serene, tranquil setting far from the hustle and bustle of the town. it's a beautiful hideaway with the sea creating a picturesque back drop for romantic nights and wonderful days.

Beautiful villas with some stunning views. Nice pool and an easy access to the beach below (although one has to cross the road so walking to the beach isn't recommended). Bar closes very early. Place comes with a helper who can cook etc. A bit pricey I thought but great for a one time experience

Great place to relax with amazing views of the ocean, the staff are Angels and the villas are cozy... I'll be back for sure.

Listen, this villa is most elegant and prestigious i must say. The atmosphere and ambiance there blends in with nature! A beautiful scenic view overlooking the town of san san and the beaches. The landscape is well put together also and the villas makes you want to just relax and forget about your everyday doings.

If you are not hung up on the hustle and bustle of being at an all-inclusive hotel then this is a great place to completely detach and relax in peace and quiet except for the sound of birds in the morning. Only thing I would say is that the facility is a little dated and so there are some things that are a little on the dingy side. However it is not that bad. It is a place you go to get away from everybody and everything. It is for complete relaxation of the mind.

Goblin Hill was so peaceful and beautiful! The view is breathtaking, I spent most of my time at the look out point just chilling under the trees. Our housekeeper, Theresa, was wonderful, she took full care of us and made us feel at home. Her meals were so delicious, quite impressive. There was a monstrous lizard in our sitting room for most of our stay, they sent the security guard to deal with it but he wasnt able to do much. The internet was really dodgy and the Roku was really slow and annoying, it might be better to invest in cable TVs in all rooms. The mosquitos in our rooms and bathroom were bothersome as well, not to mention huge red ants! I understand that this is a natural setting but I feel like more effort can be made to control these issues.

This place is perfect IF you plan on spending a lot of your time elsewhere. Nice views with basic pool. Villas are a bit dated & need a fixing up. I'd advise if you want meals prepared, to do the grocery shopping yourself as the staff seem to have no idea how much to buy (they bought ridiculous quantities when it was just 2 of us.) It was such a waste & we were billed for about double at every meal

Our house keeper was excellent , the views amazing, loved the bird feeders and grounds in great condition. The lack of a restaurant and full time bar keep were draw backs but minor. Beware this is the tropics and a villa a rural area so creatures are near by good location.

If your in need of a peaceful, tranquil vacation, then Goblin Hill at San San is the place to be. Been there many times and love it each time. They cater to your specific needs. Its a villa away from home.

Needs some upgrade but excellent location, not crowded, quiet and the MANGO TREES are always loaded and free. Best overlook view and walking distance to Blue Hole..

Spent few days with my family at goblin Hill.The staff were pleasant and friendly. Special thank you to Derron and Carol.The lawn is well kept,breathtaking view,quiet from the hustle and bustle great place for peace and tranquility however the wifi was terrible,a/c doesn't work well,rooms need renovation and decor but it was clean.TV wasn't functional and at least water or ingredients to make a cup of tea or coffee should be stocked in all kitchens.I would definitely go back there I love the view from the look out or even from your room.

This place is amazingly beautiful and the staff were great. However, my villa mates had a room that was hot like a sauna. The living room was also mad hot. The staff did offer to change villa to accommodate them. My roommate and I had the cool room. Then there was an issue with water being cut off. Then the television did not turn on at all. Worst off there is no phones to communicate with the front desk, if you have a problem you would have to walk to the front. The food was ok, but there was no variety. It was mostly traditional Jamaican meals.

This villa is in a very remote, quiet, and private area. It is very close to the Blue Lagoon. You will enjoy it if you are their just to relax. But don't stay in villa 5. It had too many issues, it seemed like it had not been maintained in a while. I forgot my Jamaican pattie in the freezer

I photographed part of a wedding here and also a surprise engagement. Really nice views and it's quiet and tucked away neatly in Portland. Definitely worth the visit.

Nice clean and spacious rooms. The grounds are lovely and the views are amazing. All your stress melts away when you are here.

Beautiful property on the hillside over looking the sea. Quite relaxing and cool.

The staff and service were great! I would give it another star but we didn't have working wifi in our unit, and I had only had two hot showers during our 4 night stay.
