Go Jugendreisen Review

Short version:
If so, go to a sports or party camp, but I wouldn't recommend anything.

I was in a Go youth travel camp in Italy. We were 3 people in a 4 man mobile home, two of us didn't fit the beds properly, even though we were all relatively narrow and everything was relatively bulky. The facility consisted of a radiator and a closet that was relatively small. The bathroom was okay, but we didn't take a shower there. At the GO-Ai bar there was almost always chilled water and cold tea which was good in the heat. The food was constantly inedible but edible. Totally burned chili con carne, schnitzel that did not consist of meat, etc. the kitchen staff often did not eat anything. The afternoon snack consisted of eating the day before just as a salad. The vegetables were fresh.
The staff was very nice, had also attended a few training workshops, but was generally only annoyed, which was not a problem as most of them simply kept contact to a minimum. The meetings and the food was laid out in such a way that you could only be 2 hours away without a walk (15min). The meetings were generally unnecessary and almost ruined all of my free time. The smallest delays have already been punished. The caregivers were not allowed to punish alcohol consumption unless someone broke it. The activities were unpopular but everyone could do something if they wanted to.
If you have the choice, you should choose either sports or celebration camps.
I heard that other camps should be significantly better, but that was my experience.

Our daughter was with 4 friends at the campsite Nautic Almata. After a few days many adolescents got sick with vomiting etc. There was a state of emergency in camp.
Very bad was the missing information, the young people were afraid to catch themselves soon. They were not sufficiently informed about the situation and we parents did not know what was happening there. My daughter and her friends bought disinfectants themselves and tried to protect themselves.
A roommate who became ill herself was allowed to sleep in a mobile home with my daughter and two other healthy girls, despite her infectious illness, although my daughter and her best friend asked for separation so as not to risk being infected. In summary, it can be said that the young people were not sufficiently informed about the situation, even after several queries not. Accordingly, they were totally under stress and felt very uncomfortable.

Despite these incidents, the holiday for my daughter was a nice experience with great activities and excursions.

My son was very impressed by the 2 trips (language trip to England and Spain vacation).
Especially the food in Spain must have been excellent!
Organization has always been great and the care great.
Therefore, he repeats with his pals again a trip with Go youth travel, this time to France.

My son was supposed to join a group with his cousin. Instead, he was traveling with teenagers who were much older than him and who had nothing but alcohol in their heads. I can only advise against this organizer!

I have made a week long youth trip to Cesenatico with my girlfriend. When we came to the campsite after the arrival (about 9:00 am), we were shocked at first. One eats on beer benches and the "rich buffet" was limited to dry bread about 4 spreads and two types of sausage and cheese. The food was for hours uncooled and without cover.
Only at 16.00 we were able to in our mobile homes. As a participant in this camp you can only use the unhygienic showers and toilets in the demarcated area of the camp. Toilets were clogged the sink also, in the showers are large black molds. In the bungalow we had our own shower and toilet. This toilet was reasonably cleaned but in the shower were also large mold stains. The rooms were very small as you can understand, however it was definitely misrepresented on the website.

The all-inclusive offer includes only breakfast, a meager snack in the afternoon and a dinner where you get a miniwrap per person, for example. When we asked if we could have a portion again it said: "No, there is only one serving for each."

Italy itself was nice but what you get promised on the website is definitely not the case.

The promised care did not really work either. There were teenagers who consumed high percentage alcohol every night. Most were very drunk and the supervisors definitely did not stop it and had it under control. You could always speak to someone if something had happened but the teamers mostly annoyed and unwilling to respond.

I've been touring Go for the third consecutive summer this year and would recommend it to anyone. Great people, great camp and mega food. I can hardly wait for the summer of 2020 with Go Jugendreisen! :-)

Our daughter was in Croatia with Go. Great vacation and everything well organized.

no recommendation. Accommodations are dirty / moldy. Supervisors are volunteers and drink in the evening. Food consists only of finished products. The drink is any syrup bottle consisting only of sugar. For a specific campsite there is only a warm shower for the entire campsite. You get paid to collect garbage and snip, what do you pay all the money for ???
Spend your money somewhere else !!

This year I was in Pin Sec with GO.
I spent 2 weeks in France surfing and chilling.

I (14) was with my best friend in Spain this year in Nautic Almata, in a tent; which we shared with 2 other girls, with whom we got along well and also befriended.
I found the camp, the activities of the team and the offered excursions super good to spice up the otherwise monotonous holiday season with exciting experiences and new friendships.


The sea and the pool easy and fast to reach, new friendships, great experiences and a lot of fun in the summery Spanish heat - was just great!

Always a nice time experienced. Organization recommended before and during the trip. Also with the caretakers you feel well looked after and understood.

So far we have been very satisfied with the handling and the standards as well as the support. Our daughter has often gone on vacation with Go. In the case of Corona, Go is now forcing parents to pick up the children from the holiday countries within 24 hours, otherwise there is no travel confirmation. The organizer therefore takes responsibility. Even the travel cancellation / health insurance can get a return within this time window e.g. B. from Spain does not guarantee. The phone is always busy. There are no callbacks; emails are only answered succinctly, very late or not answered at all. We canceled, the risk is much too high to remain at high costs and great effort and problems. What remains is a disappointed child who was looking forward to his vacation.

During the summer I spent 1 week with my girlfriend in the Croatia camp for 16-17 year olds and I have to say that was an amazing time! The teamer were incredibly nice and there were really many offers such. B workshops. The excursions were great fun, the supervision was also very good. In my opinion, everything was pretty well organized and we really had no problems.
I must also admit that I liked the food very much. There are different meals throughout the day, you really are not hungry.

Terrible, dry food, which was very limited. The bungalows were very small and the campsite was fenced and from 10 o'clock only limited access. Malgrat de Mar - Go Club "Hotel Valles" 8 days
First of all, the one- (or a little more) daily arrival or departure were added to the 8 days, that it effectively comes to six days stay. On the day of departure you are very limited in the activities due to the early check-out.
The hotel has no own staff, only employees of Go youth travel. These were not all suitable for work with adolescents. The hotel, locally dubbed as a guesthouse, was called by the very young management "Camphotel", because according to Teammer to participate in the dishes "must" (according to travel documents allowed, a refusal or appeal to his right was even punished).
The meals seemed rather loveless and were not very filling.
On the positive side were free water, beach umbrellas and the beautiful beach. Occasionally the teamers were also very friendly.

Hygiene is rarely respected in certain hotels. Cleaning ladies do not clean regularly and many things completely different than in the pictures.

The caregivers take care of the kids, kids are completely on their own and do what they want in a foreign country ... God knows what can happen. Rather a holiday for the carers but certainly not for the kids. From the food I do not want to talk, a week tormented my son with stomach ache on vacation ...
Not a nice holiday. Never again.

I went with go youth travel for the second time this year and I have to say it was again the best time of my life and I met many new and nice friends in Nautic. Despite Corona measures, it was an unforgettable summer that I will never forget.

It is an absolute insolence.

I am 16 years old and I went on holiday for nine days in Orbetello, Italy with go Jugendreisen this summer.
The teamers were young, nice and understanding. I really liked the teamers and they also enjoyed hanging out with you.
It was advertised that the beach was right by the campsite, but this was not really the case as you had to cross a street first.
The food was always delicious and also very hygienically prepared by the cooks or the young people. Unfortunately there was only something very small as a lunch snack at 4 p.m. (such as a biscuit or a piece of melon). It didn't fill you up at all. In the evening the food was usually scarce, so that you had to buy a pizza on your own at the campsite.
Every day there were four workshops to attend. These brought you into contact with other young people, let you express your creativity and were fun.
Unfortunately, the organization on site was very poor. We had to wait four hours for the connecting bus because the bus driver simply drove away. In addition, one was rarely informed about the latest position. The bus departure was also badly organized as it was postponed by more than 5 hours.
Even if some things should be better communicated in advance, I really enjoyed this summer vacation, so I am happy to recommend Orbetello to others.

Never again will one of our children or children travel away from friends with go travel. Incredibly poor local organization (La Tamarissiere, France) conditionally

My child (11) was in Vada. has been thrilled throughout. Very busy and the food was also very good. The teamers were very nice and dedicated, according to the child. The travel organization was also simple and uncomplicated. As parents, we found it particularly good that we could reach our child by phone at any time, cell phone reception was 1 A. Have already booked the next trip.

Two experiences from this year

Our son, 14, was in August 2019 with three friends in the Sport Camp Orbetello 14+ in Tuscany.

Minus: the campsite was very dirty (toilets and showers), lodges are rather huts, dusty terrain. So not for the sensitive.

Plus: contact the organization well in advance.
Beach is close, if nothing special. Two times mountain bike tour, sunset kayak, SUP and the trip to Rome the guys really liked. The sports offers require a good fitness. Through Rome they were led by two older participants who had already done the tour a week before. The guys thought it was cool and they saw a lot. The food in the camp tasted and was sufficient. Approximately 3, - Euro per day our son spent additionally for drinks or snacks. Only for Rome went again around 25 euros for ice cream, pizza and drinks on it.
One participant was hospitalized several times because of circulatory problems. I interpret that so that the supervisor react prudently.
Our boys were the youngest, which was a bit of a pity.
Overall, they liked it very much. My impression is that the participants are looked after properly but enjoy a lot of freedom. With Go youth travel our son would drive again. The Tuscany camp is definitely something for sporty and insensitive minds.

Our son, 16, was with a friend at Surf and Explore Camp in Pin sec on the Atlantic Ocean this August.

Minus: Again, toilets and showers were not really clean, but still acceptable.

Plus: food was delicious, cooked by a chef and always adequate. The camp was well organized and right by the sea. Beautiful Atlantic Ocean beach. The surf instructor was from Go-Jugendreisen, so no external provider. It was more than the specified number of hours, on some days until the arms and legs were tired. Our son loved it and he has made great progress. Bordeaux he thought was cool, even the extra booked evening in Lacaneau (if a bit expensive). Overall, he said that the caregivers had "left them pretty much alone".

My personal impression is that the supervisors of Go youth travel have an overview of what's going on and are available as a contact person. In the case of illness and rule violations, appropriate responses will be made. However, anyone who thinks that in a youth camp, the participants would be recorded and monitored from morning to evening and would be at 11 pm asleep in the tent and the toilets would be cleaned every two hours, who can not book a youth trip.

Summary: Hygiene "uff", program and care have fit for us.

The team are super committed, very careful when you need them and otherwise always have fun.

This year I went to Spain for the second time with Go Jugendreisen and was super enthusiastic despite the corona-related circumstances! The team are very responsible and always have great ideas to organize the day. Our team leader always looked after us when something was missing and tried to implement our wishes at the meeting. What also made me very happy was that I met some employees from last year, such as Phil, who was always open to us and told us exciting horror stories during his night shift. #teamphil

The trip was canceled by Jugend Go Reisen due to Corona. Of the down payment of 200 euros, 113 euros were repaid with the reason that 50 euros processing fee will be retained ???? Legal action is being taken ...

My bissherigen holidays in the camp Blanes (spain) were just awesome. Not recommended, because of the current Corona crisis we canceled the youth trip planned for early July. For this, 20% cancellation fees were retained.

The stay in Camp Albanya was very nice, but Nautic drops the quality. The camp management organizes the kitchen badly and lets it spend very very small portions. In addition, the camp management has tried to deduct money from participants because of pats that were not caused by them. The mattress was not replaced and therefore the tour was probably tried out more often. In addition, the camp administration has admitted that the privacy in the camp is not secured, because Teamer have searched tents for no reason.
When it comes to the tours, I would give more stars, because the tour guides were always nice, but it seemed to me as if the camp control was not really experienced.

My son was in Blanes with 3 friends. He liked the beach and the place itself. The teamer was nice too. In principle, there would be no objection to the simplicity of the accommodations / lodges if they had not been moldy, not rainproof and the mattresses had been grubby. In addition, the children complained about too little and bad food and unfriendly staff. All the children came home sick (fever, sore throat) and explained that all other camp participants complained about it. We will not book with this organizer.

No, I am neither an employee of the company nor a friend or acquaintance ... I just booked Medulin for my two daughters. And what should I say: you were thrilled! The teamers were very committed, the location was good, the booked activities were a success and they could also spontaneously book something. What was sometimes missing was lunch, but not really.
Of course, it is always up to the group composition and if the individual opens, but you can obviously have a lot of fun. Spain for the summer is already booked.

Sometimes poorly trained staff in the camps. The camps are totally confusing, the sanitary facilities are often inadequate and promised day trips are usually only modified, if not not at all. The reason for this is often a lack of scheduling or missing or broken material. The beds in the tents are ok but not very comfortable. The quality of the catering can fluctuate greatly. The arrival and departure by bus is very complicated and usually takes significantly longer than originally planned.

From travel participant to team leader, in order to then start my training at GO:

We (my best friend and I) wanted to go on a party trip together in Spain for the first time when we were 16. Since she had already had a positive experience with GO youth travel in France the summer before, our parents quickly agreed that we could drive together this time.
When we arrived in Blanes, on the Costa Brava, we had the best two weeks of our lives together. In addition to the daily late riser breakfast, the afternoon snack and the rich evening buffet in the camp with the great, animated teamers in the evening, we quickly felt safe, familiar and, above all, comfortable in the camp. The comfort tents with eight person beds were also ideal for making new friends quickly. Even today after 5 years we maintain our contact regularly. The absolute highlight of the two weeks was definitely the SNEP (Summer Never Ends Party), which takes place almost regularly in Girona. There, teamers and all travel participants aged 14 and over from Spain and southern France meet in one evening to dance and celebrate together. The best thing about it, there is always only "we" from GO Jugendreisen there.

During the two weeks it quickly became clear to me that when I was 18 I would also like to take part in one of the camps in Spain as a supervisor in order to give the travel participants exactly the same unforgettable summer that we had.
After submitting the necessary documents and successfully completing the multi-day seminar, I went back to the camp in Blanes for two weeks and was there for the second time as a team leader the following year.

Since I really enjoy working with the team and participants every year, I decided to train as a tourism clerk at VOYAGE Reiseorganisation GmbH in summer 2017. When I started my training, I got to know the various processes before, during and after the main season and I am very happy here!

Worst holiday ever. The food in the hotel Villa Garbi in Lloret de Mar was partly bad and in the bus on the way back every second sick. Is definitely on the clean pool water and other. Waste of money and no recommendation.

My daughter is currently in Spain on the Aquarius campsite!
Up to 170 young people and some of the carers have had an infection (vomiting, fever, diarrhea). Where this infection comes from has not yet been identified by the supervisors and the doctors! My daughter and her friends did not have dinner that evening and have been spared so far. However, since the number of sick people continued to rise in the following days, despite the closure of the central water dispensing point, the suspicion that it may be could be the norovirus. The young people have not been informed at all about the particular hygiene and disinfection of doors, toilets, faucets, etc. That the disinfection was not carried out professionally is shown by the fact that young people are still getting sick. The highlight is that a sick person was sent back to the mobile home although there is an obvious risk of infection.
So far, we parents of healthy children have not been told directly how the situation is. This could reassure the parents, no, my daughter only comes over with bad news that, for example, an excursion has been canceled due to the risk of infection because the bus driver has been informed by phone to turn off.
I think this shows, on the one hand, sheer excessive demands and, on the other hand, wanting to keep everything under the lid.

Travel cannot be carried out as contractually agreed. Cancellation costs are retained even though the contract cannot be fulfilled.

I was with GO youth travel in Spain this year (Bergcamp and Nautic Almata). The food was terrible and about the portions I would not even talk (see picture). Unfortunately, you were not allowed to catch up. The next problem was the deposit. You got less of his bail back. Partly the vacation was also quite good. Nevertheless, I would not recommend the holiday!

I am very dissatisfied. Had my child (17) there and then heard that it was the best free time I could book. Have drunk every day and already "pre-glowed" in the camp. I am aware that the alcohol is drunk, but I don't think it's ok because it all sounds good and serious. In addition, there was theft among the young people, so mine Daughter had all her money stolen after 2 days even though she had locked her hut. Just annoying. For next year I will unfortunately have to look even better.

We went to Medulin Camp with Go last year. The trip was very nice and everyone in the group enjoyed it. The teamers thought so many things, you could see that they had fun themselves. The trip was just great. Keep it up. The kids liked to cook with the kitchen fairies and enjoyed their self-prepared dishes, even if the beginning was always a bit difficult for them. In the evenings there were an incredible number of cozy game evenings among the participants (with and without a team), which allowed the warm climate. Sports trips were accepted much more than we expected, but that was probably also due to the team, who understood their sport and knew how to motivate their people. A special praise for the extremely hygienic sanitary facilities. Very, very clean and tidy so you don't have to be disgusted to go to the shower.

Criticism:
From arrival to excursions and meal times to departure, the organization of the travel company Go Voyage (Go Jugendreisen) was a disaster.
The organization of the travel agent did not work out in any case.
Buses came too late, meal times were not kept and all agreements were not kept.
At the end of our trip, our camp was already rented out, which is why we tried hard to find a place for our agreed meal. In the end we ate at a strange youth group which, like us, was not prepared for it.

I do not recommend the travel company Go Voyage (Go Jugendreisen).
The offers on offer fulfilled all expectations and the camping park was also nice, but the holiday was more than stressful due to the bad organization.

My children have been traveling for 2 years as a result of Go youth travel and were very excited. Gladly again.

Several trips booked in my youth - Sun Camp Medulin 2x - 1 Italy to Vada - 3 weeks to England in a foreign family! Can only say that everything was super organized and all bus trips were very pleasant. Can still remember very well that I have spoiled my stomach at home eating - but was very well received by the team and was well looked after.
Also I have to say that it was something very special and I often have to think back to the good times. I can really recommend it.

P.S have read in the reviews that it was probably a baptism. Of course, from an age of 16 times alcohol is consumed. But with young people under 16 is very much respected. So dear people please do not let go of all the reviews Zinken! Everything fine!

Terrible!! My daughter was with her cousin in Spain Malgrat in the GO Valles Club. The hotel is dirty from top to bottom. Starting with mold in the showers over dust and dirt on cabinets to nasal secretions on the balcony door. After complaining to the head office and the hotel manager in Spain they would then moved to another room. However, that's not all. The breakfast buffet is rich but not cool. The toaster was not to use because it was so dirty that it disgusted you. The dishes are dirty. On the wall in the dining room hang everywhere indefinable food leftovers. The tablecloths are dirty and broken and were changed during the stay not once. For the afternoon there was either a bowl of biscuits or melted ice (!!! salmonella greetings in the temperatures). The supervisors (mainly Domenik because it was responsible for my kids) were very dedicated and always there for the kids. They are out in the evening with you and made party but also great discussions could be conducted. BUT!!!! In no case, this trip is recommended. Next time we will book through another provider (such as RUF Jugendreisen) but never more about GO youth travel

Corona came and our daughter didn't want to go to Italy and had to wait 1 year. The offer of a voucher came without any ifs and buts ..... received by e-mail on the same day! Perfect ..... This is what you wish for

Our daughter is on a "kids" trip in Vada, because I thought I was doing her something good, because we cannot go on vacation together during the summer vacation, neither in terms of vacation technology nor financially, but that backfired. Several children with circulatory problems (too hot in the tents, too little drunk or eaten) had to go to the hospital, our daughter was not allowed to take part in anything since then, because maybe too exhausting ... Our daughter and her friend call daily on, just want to go home. So if you want to give your child a really annoying vacation so that they can really look forward to being at home, then GO Youth Travel Italy VADA !!! Our son - now grown up - was also in Spain with Go, which was probably really great at the sports camp at the time, apparently, organizationally and personally, they are not completely set up for the age group 11-13 ... Our daughter counts the hours, howls at the Telephone because she was only allowed to snorkel with us for 2 weeks and thinks GO shit ... Next time we will not rely on old experiences but will question carefully if our daughter is still ready for an "organized" youth trip in the next few years to participate.

Teamer have given us a warning because we came home a bit later. Parents were called on Sunday just before Sunday to let them know.
The teamer are people who have never had anything to do with children. These are people who want to make their own vacation. No more.
You have to get up too early for the activities.
