Who on earth thought it was a good idea to build apartments on swampland?

Mason housing sucks. Can't communicate right about which rooms are available and when it comes to register, they say they're out of the rooms they "stated" were available. Can't get anything right.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They ll have you on the phone for an hour just to tell you they can t do anything. They ll switch you out your room without consent and tell you that you should be thankful you got housing.

wish i could rate lower, everything is so unbelievably poorly organized, managed, and handled both in the physical and digital spaces. It's insane that it can get this bad

If I could give zero stars, I would. You re better off figuring your issue out yourself rather than dealing with housing and yes, despite all of the bad reviews, they have made no effort to correct or better the office.

I don't feel as though the George Mason Housing Office took my issues with my former roommate seriously whatsoever, when it ultimately concerned the safety and well-being of the student body. Not only were several members of their office completely unresponsive to my multiple calls and emails throughout this whole process, but it took over a MONTH for the Director of Housing to meet with me about it. Extremely disappointed.

You will not find any actual help here. The only people that will pick up are those that only have the authority to open locked doors. If you want to change rooms they will tell you to write an email that they will respond to in 24 hours without any actual insight on how to address the issue. I have had problem after problem and no one has ever lifted a finger to be even remotely helpful. Its one big bureaucracy that GMU refuses time and again to change for the better.

George Mason housing department is as smart as the old bricks used to build their dorms. They do not help you if you need to change your room and have one of the worst websites possible. If I had a choice to work at Burger king or mason housing I would work at burger king for the rest of my life just to avoid mason housing at all costs. I bet mason housing is one of the reasons students have to go to counselling or rehab. live off campus asap
