Started Feb 2016. It all started well until someone starts to sabotage you. Work is work. Competitive pay means minimum wage. Don't bother working hard to impress the bosses because in the end they never really cared about you in any way. As you work hard truly to one self, it's not about how much work you get done properly it's more of who you know within to get hired permanently such as knowing the Ceo, the mangers, or anybody in connection. It is not worth your time because you do not have a say to defend your right of why you're being let go. Oh and another thing. They let you go over the phone which is absolutely 100% UNPROFESSIONAL in terms of BUSINESS. It's either they tell you or they don't but seeing that how being let go unprofessional I would not recommend working at GLENAIR Inc. in terms of POOR MANAGEMENT and they are very subpar of their work. Only political decisions and vague answers are given to you. Good luck.

In those years I done bussiness with Glenair for different companies and the 'welcome' by the Glenair emplyees is always warm and quite impressive.

Pay is somewhat median compared to the rest of the market; however be prepared for no reviews and raises.

Somewhat of a good social setting as there are some really good and nice people here. Frequent gatherings by employees who bring in food for small celebrations.

Relatively laid back if you're part of the in-group cronies of the CTO and other VPs; otherwise you have to keep a low profile to avoid being a target.

The reputed no lay off policy can be good for older workers who're trying to hang on until retirement.

The flip side of the above is:

They use the "bonus" as both carrot and stick to threaten you to fail in line and be the obedient drone (pod people). They have on more than a few occasions taken away that bonus from many people without any reason nor performance review for areas of improvement.

The "bonus" gets taxed like crazy and double-taxed; so it's better if it's in the form of a 401K or IRA and matching contributions.

Unfortunately, the no lay off policy means that the slacker cronies and egotistical upper management keeps them around so that the non-crony workers are harrassed and bullied by them as scapegoats for product failures.

"No lay offs" mean that the cronies will harass you until you get sick and leave on your own.

I've been in meetings where the only things the yes men said were literally: "yes, yes, yes. That's a great idea. I think you're absolutely right that's the way to do it. It's brilliant." to the CTO and cronies.

Afterwards, the non-crony workers are "assigned" tasks that the cronies refuse to do themselves. Despite the purported "flat structure," there's definitely a hierarchy of non-official crony managers who harass workers. Some of them are so egotistical as to claim out loud they're "appointed hitman lieutenant for the CTO who doesn't want to get his hand dirty."

So that means any mistake you find as a professional engineer, they'll blame you for it and not the cronies. It's one of the worst places I've seen this level of dirty office politics.

On top of that, there are certain cronies who don't do any work and brown nose all day and keep trying to brush off their projects unto others. So that means the workers who're trying to help finish projects will then get bullied by them to either do their projects or else be threatened with that aforementioned "bonus" be taken away.

Ask around why the Raytheon group left and who's driving everyone away. There's a reason why dozens of people left because of the same group of people: CTO and his yes men cronies.

It's literally Invasion of the Body Snatches right now as they're trying to replace all the worker bees with their own hornets and pod people who all say "yes, yes, yes" at the CTO meetings.

Look into anonymous review systems whereby people who literally are trying to help and professional give feedback aren't going to be targets and on the chopping block.

It started off great, people that know their job, friendly and with room to grow.
Suddenly, after 4 months, I got laid off for "unsatisfactory performance", being that I have asked a couple of weeks before to my manager about my permanency and she said it was a done deal, I would get hired by the company.
So I don't get it, the reason for the layoff when I was working hard to get hired.
I guess it's a good company if you don't happen to get laid off for no reason.

Worked there for 4 months as a contract to hire employee for the technical sales department. The people were great but there was not much work to do. The manager out of the blue terminates my contract and I find out over the phone in the evening. Never once had any feedback.

They make a variety of products which are used in various aerospace applications. I would recommend potential employees contacted by Aerotek to work at this company pass on the opportunity. Especially if you want to do engineering. Run away from this company! The quality engineering and manufacturing teams don t employ lean six sigma and the place has no security. No badges or security checks. Anyone can walk in and act like they belong. Frequently thousand dollar products would go missing on the assembly line and people walk out with customer drawings without hesitation.

Not a company that has its head where it should be. They are primarily sales driven company. Meaning they sacrifice quality and efficiency to make the 70 or something percent up charge on the customer.

Not a very great company to do business with.

DISSAPPOINTED. THEY ARE NOT DOING ANYTHINGTO KEEP THEIR EMPLOYEES SAFE. My husband works for them and just went over to speak to human resources after learning that they sent my stepfather home who is over 65 with 2 weeks pay, He told them that his immune system was compromised because he has diabetes but all they told him was that if he felt uncomfortable he should go home. And also my husband requested face masks because everyone at the company is sick and again the human resources representative told him that if he felt uncomfortable he should go home.
