Gladman are trying to get planning for agricultural land near us, their consultation documents are a joke, they have not researched the local area at all, most of what they have come up with is simply not true, and the statements that they are engaging with the local community is laughable. Avoid any involvement with them, and if they come looking at land near you be aware...
I m giving you 5 stars because I don t think you could of done a better job of ruining a nice piece of Essex countryside and making local residents a tad more miserable in these unprecedented times if you tried. Congratulations on your latest victory and let s hope later on in life when you think you ve found the place of your dreams that a nice little developer comes along a dumps a few hundred houses on your doorstep.
Unfortunately despite the local and borough councils rejecting a planning application because it was a green site outside of the village development area, the secretary of state has just approved it. Its nice to have friends in high places. So another village ruined by a company with no morals just a desire to make as much money as possible on the backs of others in this country. The directors should hang their heads in shame but they wont because they are too busy enjoying the high life.
They have no interest in communities . There only interest is making money . If I could score zero I would !
This company have absolutely no intention of improving the environment. They lie when they say they will improve the countryside when in actual fact they destroy it, chopping down trees and hedrows plus building on land that is know to flood. They give no thought to the need for schools, doctors local transport or even employment. Instead of building on brownfields, they find it more profitable to buy up green fields and then take on councils and local communities with their expensive lawyers which councils and residents find difficult to sponsor. Their only desire is to line their own pockets.
This company is as I type are on the verge of destroying our local community. They have/intend to build in excess of 1,000 homes on greenfield sites. A small market town whose facilities cannot cope with such a massive development. Hopefully this insanity will not be approved by the local authority. As others have noted - Gladman are a deeply unpleasant unscrupulous company. They care only about the financial rewards and nothing for the communities and environment they are destroying. The properties they build are never affordable for the first time buyers or those on low incomes. Please be aware of Gladman and what they may do to your community - you have been warned!!

Greedy, selfish, destructive, unethical..... There are so many words which can be used to describe Gladman Developments. None are positive - if you're reading these reviews then you'll know all about them. I hope as many people as possible find out what they're like. They're destroying so much of our greenfield land. They offer no benefit to local communities. The only beneficiary of their disgusting practices is their bank balance. Gladman are a plague on many communities throughout the country. I sincerely hope that this repulsive monster is stopped in its tracks soon! Please beware of Gladman, they might be trying to destroy your community too.
