Fantastic experience for our first time. Food was very good! Appetizers, main and desert were all tasty and flavorful! Prices were reasonable. Wait staff was friendly and informative and very knowledgeable about their menus without needing to double check themselves. Overall great experience.
I took my two children to eat dinner this evening, 04/22/21. I hesitated to stay / try to go in when I saw that the parking lot was almost completely full. Cars were pulling in left and right. Against my better judgment, the kids and I went inside. It was dinner time and we were hungry. We had already driven from the far end of Clear Creek Rd (near the airport) specifically to eat there. As we went in, I noticed lots of people coming in , which I overheard was for a military hail and farewell. There was also a party of 8 waiting, but they were seated within just a few minutes of us walking in. The young lady at the hostess stand was clearly VERY overwhelmed and confused. She asked me how many in my party and I told her there were three of us. She asked me to give her a minute, which was completely understandable and not a problem. Obviously they were busy, so I was trying to be understanding. After a few minutes, she said that she had a table for us and started to walk us to said table. All of a sudden she stopped and said that it would be another minute, proceeded to walk us back to the waiting area / lobby. Meanwhile, a party of four came in, and was seated within a minute or two. After waiting a few more minutes, the hostess then asked for my name to put it on their list. At this time, there was nobody else waiting in the lobby area. I gave her my name and phone number. She did not give me any sort of time frame for the wait. After several more minutes, I asked her if she could tell me how long the wait would be. At this point I didn t think it would be very long since there was nobody else waiting. She then tells me that it will be AT LEAST 30 MINUTES (or more)! My children and I left. The level of confusion and lack of information / customer service was totally unacceptable and very unprofessional. We will not be returning or recommending Giovannis. After living in the area for 8 years now, a loyal customer has been lost!
I don t know how the restaurant has good reviews. The food is in pools of grease and has little to no flavor, very far from Italian tastes. Nothing tastes fresh and simple, tried twice, never going back. I will say the inside is nice , and the wait staff is professional.
From the moment we sat down, the environment felt very comforting and laid back. Social Distancing kept the nearest customers to us at a few tables distance, so it gave us a very private atmosphere and it kept the service personable. Our waiter was magnificent, and the food was incredible. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone was absolutely pleased with their meal. Very nice time, and the food was incredible.
Servers are very friendly. Food is great Italian. We had a Supreme Pizza and shared it with 2 adult males. We could not finish 1 piece. Great value and good food.
I order the rib eye Italiano with Cesar salad (take out /ordered taken over the phone). Will not do that again. Look in my bag regular house salad, took it back was informed they dont have Cesar salad, was td this over the phone. Ok fine asked for soup instead ( tried to upcharge me for their mistake). Then waitress ask manager he said no to charge me. Go home was supposed to have tossed noodles with sauteed onions and garlic. No overcooked noodles with no garlic or onions tasted. Try call restaurant put on hold for manager. They never came to phone. Called back left name and number no answer. Prior to pandemic awesome food and service now. No thank you
Better than it was during the pandemic. They have authentic Italian food and it's definitely amazing no matter what you order.
Had a coworker tell me about a "Great Italian Restaurant in Copperas Cove". Folks, this is real Italian unlike that place that rhymes with Golive Arden. I have traveled to Italy and the food at this restaurant is as close as you get to Naples. Only recommendation would be for softer music and a bit more ambiance.
Lovely ambiance, server made great suggestions, peach sangria was wonderful, food was top notch and we will definitely return soon!
Just to keep this perspective. We went on mother's day. So I understand that service might be stretched. The food was very uninspired. Food was bland and unappealing. I had calamari, breading was bland. Dipping sauces tasted like straight out of the can. The server was very attentive. That's where it ends though. I love the ambience of this place but the food has to find its soul again.
