My son requested Traditional Chicago Deep-Dish Pizza and the Marriott recommended Giordano s Pizza. A two block walk landed us at the Restaurant just before the dinner crowd would arrive. We ordered two appetizers and two pizzas - one medium and one small, drinks and desserts. The appetizers took about half and hour and the pizzas took about 50 minutes. Not a fast food place so sit back and relax and have a drink. The pizza was worth the wait.

A Chicago staple and a must visit everytime I'm in Chicago. This location is conveniently located near central downtown. It was busy, but not overly packed on a weekday night. Sat alone at the bar and the bar tender was generally attentive. He hung out with his buddies maybe a bit too much, but was only slightly delayed getting another beer. Pizza took 45 minutes, but that's about what it always takes. I'd definitely visit this location on my next visit.

The wait is what makes this place not get 5 stars. My recommendation is not to go here if you are very hungry. Be prepared to wait 1 hour for a table and your food. You can pre-order the pizza to speed things up but it still may take long. If you want the pizza to be extra cheesy go with less toppings. The pizza is definitely delicious. But believe it or not it tastes even better in the morning the next day.

Great service and great food! I appreciate that you get to order before you sit as deep dish pizza can take 45 minutes to an hour to make. You barely notice it once you're seated and have an appetizer! It definitely a must try!! We had the Chicago Classic!

Very busy place in downtown Chicago. Pizza takes minimum of 30 minutes to prepare, usually 45 minutes. If you have the time and money, go experience the deep dish Chicago style pizza. It's good authentic pizza, they include a large amount of toppings.

great experience, delicious food. 45min wait time (went on a saturday, so to be expected) but once booked for a table you can place your order to minimize the wait on your food once you're sat down

If you are in Chicago you have to have the famous deep dish pizza and there is no best place other than Giordano's... Tried the veggie deep dish pizza and goose ipa... It is really difficult to eat even two slices as it is really heavy but so tasty that you will crave for more...

Visited a downtown location. They were superbusy on a weekday and the main dining room was full. Took a seat at the bar. The bartender was nice and friendly and fast but I wish he could have given better advice on the menu or specials. For example, I could have got the individual lunch special with personal deep dish pizza, salad and drink for $15. Instead I got a small deep dish for $25 and had alot of leftovers. Overall pizza was good, not great and there were out of a few local craft beers.

If you're looking for a good and classic deep dish pizza Giordano's is just one of many others you can go to and eat at. It tastes good and the price is alright. It's kind of like if dominos was a restaurant and offered deep dish pizza, it's good but it doesn't really distinguish itself in flavor or style from any other chain deep dish pizza place. Service was great at the bar and I appreciated my bartenders advice to order an appetizer since the pizza itself took about 45 minutes to come out. It was very filling for being a personal size pizza and they definitely didn't skimp out on loading it with cheese and sausage. Overall it's a cool place to go with your friends and get a pizza, but I wouldn't call it the best.

I must say that The Chicago deep dish pizza is Not my thing, but The service and The pizza is alright here anyway. You roll out after dinner. It is a total heart attack dish. But very Chicago at the same time. Dont miss it, and make sure you are wearing a belt with some extra holes in it. You will need it. Stretchy pants place!

Like most people from out of town looking for a good Chicago pizza almost everyone recommended Giodanos. Albeit it takes 50 minutes from order to table it was well worth it. The crust is amazing and overall a 10

Food was great!! Service sucked though, they place was probably half empty and yet our server only came to our table like 2 times and we were there for an hour. When they finally came the only time to refill our waters they made a mess on the table.

Disappointed. This rating is base on my expectations for a deep dish pizza. If you are expecting the deep dish to be "deep" meaning you want the crust on the bottom to be more than a quarter inch thick you will be disappointed too. The flavor was there but what they call deep dish is what Pizza Hut, Pappa John's, Dominos would call hand tossed or original. I expected at least 1 inch of crust.

We are staying right next door and wanted something quick and easy. Salads were amazing. Kids loved their pizza choices as well. Loved the friendly service from our waiter who couldn't do enough to please. Meals arrived in good time. Will definitely be back.

"The best lasgana I ever had was a slice of pizza at Giordano's!" That's me quoting me. This version of Chicago style pizza is perfect for the first timer and so so satisfying for the regulars. Save a couple of slices for the next day to eat cold. The bedrock of cheese is something to behold!

Great deep dish pizza! One slice was even enough for me lol! The atmosphere is nice and the service is great as well. We had to wait a short while but they took our order before sitting us so it took the least time possible!

Long long wait. But, they let you order your pizza at the counter which takes about 45 minutes. And by then your table is ready! This pizza is more like a lasagna or casserole, just to give you an idea. When they say deep dish it's about 3-4" deep.

The pizza is very good. But buyer beware... One slice is more than enough. So ordering accordingly.

Definitely recommend!

My favorite Chicago Deep Dish pizza place!! There is enough of a beer selection to find something you like and they have other foods if Deep Dish isn't your thing. A must visit in Chicago in my mind.

The pizza here is to DIE for. It is so good and well worth the 45 minute wait we had to endure. Our appetizers came out instantly though, so we weren't too hungry. I STRONGLY suggest anyone going to Chicago and wants to have magnificent pizza to go here!

We pre-ordered for a company lunch. Regardless of the rush, the table and pizzas we're ready at our arrival. The only down side was it was really loud and the waiters weren't as attentive, but that'll happen anywhere with so many people.

Not your typical "deep pan pizza" - these are "stuffed" - with the filling inside the crust. I was skeptical, but now I'm convinced. Friendly staff, but very crowded (across the street from the Willis/Sears Tower.)

Place was super busy on Saturday night, expectedly. Our 20-30min wait time turned into an hour. Luckily we ordered our pizza when we put our name in for a table(if you have a wait time, order before you sit). The Caesar salad was delicious and our pizza came out before I could finish it. Place was packed but service was good and our waitress was able to keep up with everyone s wants.

Note to self: while I am fully capable of eating a size small Giordano s deep dish pizza by myself, my body will like me more later if I only eat 4 out of 6 pieces. Amazing pizza though. Well worth the wait and would definitely eat there again. $20+ for the pictured pizza is a bit steep though I my opinion, even for downtown Chicago. Would ve got their $10 weekday lunch special but I was there on a weekend.
