Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park Review

Great, low-key family theme park. Lost of stuff for little kids. Not many teenagers running around. We have been going here for 16 years. Great place to spend a relaxing day in some beautiful gardens.

In summer it can be extremely (too) hot. Prices for food and stuff are extremely high and quality is low. Also for entrance you pay a lot. After you pay you can get in for free the rest of the year but for tourists visiting one time this is not really a good deal.

It's a great place to relax with your family and friends while enjoy amusement rides and nature together.

Great for young kids. First time there and we will be back. I do wish there was more places to trick or treat during the Halloween event.

This is a good place for kids under 8 to play. Most of the ride for little. If you have a chance to visit, you should take the train to go around, beautiful place.

One things that surprise me, i think they changed this year. If you bought gold card from great America, that's not including parking here, you have to paid $15 for one day or $30 for a season. Also, you got no discount when purchase stuff here like at great america, and everything here is really expensive. I took my kids here every year and this year is kind disappointed.

Came to visit at night during the Christmas holidays and it's pretty amazing. The lights were better than I'd expected. I'd definitely come back again.

We've been coming for years as we love Gilroy Gardens. But one of our favorite features, the Rock Maze, had been torn down to extend their water feature. Big time bummer!!

My kids enjoyed it so much .was there for 4 hours and just went through the first half of the park.

Unfriendly staff to say the least, lines are very long and food and drinks are extremely expensive (and you can't bring your own...). Rides are meh, we won't be coming back...

If you have kids you really need to take Them here for Christmas because there is nothing else like it!

Great place for families to hang out. But your tickets online to save a little money. All rides are kid friendly. Beautiful area.

Friendly staff, abundant parking, value card membership is reasonable. I cant believe such a family friendly theme park with various activities exist in the bay area. Having the water oasis is also great. Too bad I was reluctant to bring my daughter her swimsuit. Great value in my honest opinion. Definitely going back.

Great place to bring your smaller kids. Lot's of attractions and plenty of fun. Good value for price when you buy a membership. Two things to improve - parking lacks EV charging stations and food is a bit expensive and low quality.

The staff members arbitrarily broke rules and disrespect about tourists time at all!

People already waited in line for almost an hour. The staff member at ballon flight broke rules let us waiting one hour more, just arbitrarily letting others cutting in line.
When we asking about what happened, the staff ruthlessly said They won t take forever .

Tens of people top of the line left with nothing after one hours waiting.

More employees should be there. One person handling the money and food is not good. Employees are underpaid and over work. You expect one person to do the job of two or three people. With the price you charge for food, entrance, and souvenirs you can afford to pay more employees.

It smelled like mold. The people working there are rude. Other than that no lines & my babies had fun

Fun for the kiddo. Kind of in the middle of nowhere though.

I have a 5 year old and we love this place! He can ride almost all of the rides, the Water Park area is just perfect for a kid his size, and there's a great variety of things to see and do. With the long summer ahead we decided this year was a good one to get the annual pass -- a great deal! There are few rides and attractions that need upgrades as they're showing their age, but overall this place is wonderful! Highly recommended for families with young children or middle school age. High School kids would likely be bored.

Also, the food is pricey, but delicious with a great variety. My least favorite thing about the park is how slow the Food Service is! At one place it took us 15 minutes to get our food today. That's hard with a small kid! So either bring your own food or just be prepared to wait.

Water park too packed, there should be a capacity for safety and enjoyment of families. It was too far of a drive but I m sure it s great if you live close and you arrive on a day that isn t super busy. And also More fun for little toddlers.

Great family theme park to spend time with your family and loved ones

Great place to take your young children. Expensive and can be hot in the summer. Bring your swim suit, you're gonna get wet if you are doing it right.

Premium membership gets you unlimited park entrance, free lights@night discounts on food, drinks and merchandise also free parking. The gardens are beautiful with all the lights almost magical.

We had lots of fun at the water park but it was a little crowded

It's a great place. We go with our toddler every weekend...but it's too crowded. Also, the water park is not that clean. These are yet not my main concern, but I found the problem the mixed little pool for toddlers and older kids. Toddlers are too scared of splashing water on them. They need more quiet time. It was much better if the little pool could be only for little ones.

Very peaceful, fun, and different. If it only was a bit much bigger with more rides. Otherwise we had fun.

Lots of fun for kids ranging 2 to 10. My kid had a great time there. The water park area was specially fun. Would definitely come again.

I loved the place but closes earlier. So we didn't get to get on the rides or try the food...

Beautiful place and was perfect for a full day family outing. We didn't get to all if the attractions so it's easily a multi day place.

Nice and shady not too crowded and the kids loved the water park! There is rides for both big and little kids so my 2.5 year old had a great time riding things his size

I've always loved this place for the non thrill seeking kidos.

My kids love going here. It is oriented to families with younger kids. I would say 12 and under. Educational opportunities and fun. It is also close to our campground which is nice too!

The food was overpriced and not very good. They also gave my two toddlers rotten milk! My daughter started throwing up! I then realized the milk was chunky and rotten!!! When I told the employee they gave them water and offered medical attention ! Besides that my kids have a great time. Just beware of the food and drinks their!

Wonderful place for kids and few for adults as well. Must go place. Better buy tickets online rather than at the place as its costs less. If you have annual pass it would be more beneficial. Weekends would be busy but may be sometimes we can have single ride multiple times. There is also pedal boating inside this. Great place for families and friends. Kids would definitely love it

Perfect for kids ages 2-8, great verity of rides, not too big, nice water attractions for hot days.

Great water park and they are expanding for 2018 and great rides for kids and I love all the interesting vegetation they have

My daughter & I bought the season pass great place to go for a few hours & to waer my grandsons out. We have not rode all the ride's yet ..so fun.

Such a great place to being family. This was out first time visiting and definitely Italy won't be out last. From paddle boats to water park. This place has it all
