Giant Food Stores, LLC Review

Don't know why only 4.2 stars, maybe if people didn't all go to the store on Friday at 3pm they might have a better experience. I shop a 6am. Great experience.

I went in to buy a lot of chicken and 12 gallons of ice tea and lemonade for my church picnic. They were extremely helpful! There was a young man stocking shelves and I told him I needed 5 more gallons of lemonade and he grabbed my cart and practically ran into the back to get it for me...I was so impressed. Check out was easy and efficient! YES...I will go back to this store!!

There prices are so high! I had not even half a cart full and my total was $130 & I'm looking at my bags trying to figure out how 7 bags of groceries was $130!!! I went to Walmart and completely filled my cart & the total was $92. I only go to Giant if I absolutely must.

Giant is just better. Gas points, selection, fresh product.

Clean store, plenty of employees, items always in stock.

Store was clean, employees we encountered were friendly....some empty areas on shelves but new sale cycle starts tomorrow so most likely why.

"Giant" may have previously stood for the total on one's receipt after a shopping run to one of this chain's fine stores. The impression is of quality at 'market pricing' (pardon the pun). Most of the time deals come in the form of two-for-one offers or weekly flier specials ~ provided you bring your Bonus Card. Giant indeed has a great selection, especially deli items, meats, cheeses and prepared foods. . . . Spreading things out in a store is typical for grocery stores in order to facilitate extra traffic and extra purchases. However, I noticed that the milk is about 60 feet away from the eggs, which is far more than in any other grocery store that comes to mind. Giant is a solid store ... Go Giant!

This Giant has a great Nature's Promise market. I can depend on them to have a lot of the Staples I need for my vegan diet.

GIANT has the best fresh meat deli fresh fruit and vegetables. It's worth walking to get all my groceries at GIANT.

Great store very helpful employees and following cdc guidelines for covid19 which as an immune compromised person I appreciate

Love shopping there. Especially with lots of self checkouts and love the 3 and 4x coupons for certain purchases!!

I really like this Giant. They have a great beer selection and a ton of self check out kiosks. The staff is friendly also.

Everything is more expensive than the same items at Wal-Mart. But at least you dont have to deal with the overcrowding and weirdos that are always at Wal-Mart

Beware of this store during COVID, multiple employees not wearing masks correctly(I counted atleast 5). I told a manager who said they would take care of it but 10 minutes later I saw him walking past a worker who I had already pointed out and he didn't stop or anything. Also at least 2 customers were seen not wearing masks at all and were allowed to walk around the store that way. Clearly this store does not care about their immuno compromised customers. Wearing masks below the nose is not much better than not wearing them at all.

The name says it all.... GIANT FOOD STORE... The food here is humongous and not only is the food huge the store itself is also GIANT. I felt like an ant in there.

Giant is by far the best store for the economy-minded shopper. Their selection is good, the produce is better than most, and the sales are hands-down the best. There are some other stores in town that have somewhat better service and higher-quality merchandise and I'd be happy to recommend them too, if you are willing to pay a little more (not much, though). But of course, I won't recommend them in the middle of an Excellent-rated review of Giant :)

Usually enjoy shopping there, but today I used the ladies room. A customer was coming out and said it was filthy in there. When I went in, I saw why. It was filthy, and not one day clutter. It was build up filth all over. An employee was washing her hands. It brought to mind employees and customers were washing there hands in this filth and walking around touching our food. Too grossed out to shop.

Very satisfied. The cashier was very friendly and courteous.

If you haven;t been here to check out the beer...you need to go. They have a great big selection and their prices are better than most six pacl shops. Excellent selection PLUS they have a "Mix-a-Six" So GREAT!!

Once again I made the mistake of expecting what I went shopping for would be in stock. They had the slot for my dog food, kitty litter, and coffee creamer, but they didn't have any product in them. But alas there is only a 20% chance that the creamer would have been there and a 10% chance the dog food would have been on the shelf. I didn't say in stock, because it might be there,but finding someone to check or a manager that won't give you the run-around to see if they do have it "cus we don't keep no stock in the back" is typically the response. My wife and I have spoken to numerous "managers" about these issues for years due to product that is not in stock and, might not be in for days. Since no one should ever hear,
that their coffee product might be here in two days, but they can't be sure if it will or not, we now try and avoid the disappointment of Carlisle Giant and go to Walmart or Mechanicsburg Giant where the odds respectfully increase to 100% and 60% for the coffee creamer; dogfood has the same odds at the other Giant.

Avoid the old guy on the register (7/2/20 9pm) he has an attitude. Reccomend a different register.

Very busy because of snow, however they had alot of registers open so tbe wait was not long. Gound everthing I was looking for

It's not bad. They have flowers, Starbucks, Chinese, a salad bar and some hot bar items as well. The store seems to be constantly busy. They have typical amenities you'll find like a lottery machine, carpet cleaner rental, 5 gallon water bottles and I think there's a bank (though not sure of the branch).

Gas sucks, the only reward is the 100's of dollars spent in store to reward you with cheaper gas to get there. One hand washing the other.

Not bad, but thier donuts aren't as good as Karns. Nor are most of thier other baked goods.

The store itself is very well curated for what it aims to do. The layout, organization, and ease of navigation makes this a great store to visit. However, while the products they sell are of quality the prices attached to those products can be easily beaten by the nearby Weis store less than a mile away. Sadly, my biggest gripe might sound a bit childish. But, it bothered me enough to write this review. They sell alcohol (which I am glad they do) but unlike most stores... For one reason or another, they only allow you to purchase up to a 12 pack... That's it... At first, when the cashier told me I could only purchase up to a 12 pack I thought to myself (already having a rough day to begin with I wanted to become a jerk to her, but realized it wasn't her decision)... "Why???" What kind of place that sells alcohol limits a law abiding, paying, customer who'd like to purchase a second 12 pack??? I won't be going back for alcohol over this stupid limit...

Great store has everything better than wegmans for prices

Was profiled as "Homeless" by a manager on duty because I had a backpack on. Manager approached me in restroom, accused me of being homeless and told me to "move on" from store. This was after I had already purchased items from store. When I tried to re approach same manager to complain about treatment, he looked down his nose at me and responded "I could care less." This type of stereotyping, profiling, and discrimination against paying customers, because you assume they are homeless, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When I brought situation up to assistant manager of store, I was pretty much treated the same. For individuals in the 21st century to take this approach against anyone is, quite frankly, disgusting. People give their lives on a daily basis fighting against this type of treatment. I highly suggest we all get on board. NOW!! Thank you.

Great prices, good selection. Only issue would be the spring flowers that overwhelm you when walking in the pharmacy side. I dont have allergies, but dang....I almost died....they were that strong. Dont flowers like that belong outside. Glad i gave my son his allergy pill before going shopping. I will not be shopping at giant until the flowers are out of store....i spend alot with 6 people in the house...just saying.

Love giant stores!!! Airways have goods sales and always has what I need. Usually not that long is a wait either

As cold and windy as it was, the young gentleman collecting carts stopped to help a disabled man zip his coat. I didn't get his name, I wish I had because he deserves recognition

This giant used to have fresh croissants in the pastry cabinet. but now they have cartoonish looking doughnuts.

This giant has a lot of selection but is usually way to busy. Make sure that you visit at a slow time or prepare for lines to check out or crowded aisles.

I've been going to that giant for a while. Love the service, love the hundreds of food options for all diets. Everytime we can't find something, we go to giant. They have a star bucks too.

My local grocer. Had some exotic choices of meats and other items up until a few weeks ago. Guess the locals aren't ready for that stuff around here.

Like all Giant Food locations, this place has outstanding produce. The meat selections and bakery are also excellent. I highly recommend getting a bonus card to tandem with getting points for fuel discounts. Buy groceries and get cheaper gas prices = common sense.

Always seems well organized, and the check out lines are never excessive.

Staff courteous and pleasant. I have no interest in scanning my own groceries or waiting in a long line because I choose not to scan my own groceries. Perhaps you could offer a discount to those using it, since you don't need as many employees.

Most of the staff is very friendly well I should say a but 1 person and they may have just been having an off day to ve fair

Its a gas station. Able to get gas and redeem your Giant gas points here.

You can find a lot of variety of kinds of foods with a good quality
