I had the best experience here. Michael is a GOD SEND. I will never go back to any other stylist, he is now stuck with me. I called in yesterday morning to see if I could be squeezed in to go from black hair to blonde. Thankfully, Michael had an opening and I was able to come in. He was very thorough and detailed. He let me know what to expect and what the outcome may or may not be. He was very sweet and made the whole 6 hour process worth it! He is a true magician! I love how I look! His work is perfect and so is his soul and his personality. He made me a blonde in one day! I m so happy with my color. He even recommended I get my eyebrows lightened because my brows were super dark. I would have never though to do that, and they look great! I will forever recommend Gemini 14 and Michael!! Saniye is true magic at the Gemini 14 Salon! I have been going to see her for almost 10 years, and her expertise in single process color, highlighting and cut / styling is like none other. If you can get in to see her, I would not miss your chance!

I have had my hair colored there and it was very good, but I really want to praise their wonderful mani-pedicurist: Tamara.

She does beautiful work, and the pedicure is such a complete service you can fall asleep while she's massaging your lower leg. Your toes and bunions (!) and heels will be smooth and soft. Pedicures last 2-3 weeks. She doesn't do shellac (or won't suggest it unless you do since it''s so bad for your hands) but she has another process that is almost as good. Only issue: not a huge selection of colors. If you have a favorite, bring it with you.

I love this place. I have been coming to Kathy for more years than I care to admit and she has always done a beautiful job on my color and cuts. I struggled for years to find a colorist that would cover my grays and give me color that seemed natural given my skin tone and I am pleased to say that I would never go anywhere else. Even when Kathy has been unavailable, Laisam and Lola have given me beautiful balayage and Bastiano has given me fantastic cuts that grow out well. Gemini loyalty has become a family affair, as my husband, brother-in-law, cousin, and aunt all go to Gemini for their hair needs as well :)

Laisam did a phenomenal job on my Brazilian Blowout. After a botched Brazilian Blowout a couple months ago, I was apprehensive to allow anyone to touch my hair. Laisam came highly recommended by a colleague, and I could tell she knew what she was doing after our consultation. It s been a couple weeks since my blowout so I have been able to feel out the treatment. It s holding up very well and has been a godsend in this humidity!

Great haircut for the price. They give girls little bows at the end and a lollipop. My daughter loves going there.

Highly recommend! The salon is clean and beautiful. I have been going to kris kujawinski for almost 10 years. Followed him from his previous salon. He is hands down the best balayage in the business! Perfectly sun kissed and beautifully blended so roots are subtle. I ve had friends and coworkers ask for his info based on how great he makes my hair look. Great salon and great stylists!!

Lana is thee best for brows. She'll help you grow them out and likes to keep them full and healthy-looking.

I've been seeing Christian for over a year now and he's great. He's very fun to talk to and even provides a free cleaning between haircuts.

This salon is absolutely amazing! I have always been self conscious about my thin, frizzy hair - but after leaving this salon I feel like a new person! I got an instant keratin treatment and the most natural extensions I have ever had. If you need a hair makeover, this is the place to go.

Dominick Bluni is a wonderful hair stylist and I ve followed him to Gemini for consistently beautiful cuts and coloring. He really listens to what I want and makes great suggestions about what would work best. My hair is fine, and he knows how to style it so it has a beautiful shape and looks fuller. Love Gemini too, it has a warm, friendly staff and I always feel pampered.

My stylist, Kris, had to find a new place after his previous salon closed because of the pandemic. He recently landed at Gemini 14 and I just had my first visit last week. I was very impressed with the professionalism of the staff, especially the safety measures they have in place while we continue to try to return to normal in NYC. I had my temperature taken before I was allowed to proceed to Kris' chair. All the staff had masks on and practiced social distancing. They also enforced masks for clients. I didn't feel unsafe or in jeopardy at any time. Kudos to all!

As for Kris, the best review I can offer is he has been cutting my hair for over a decade. My hair has several different textures, straight in places, wavy in others, and I even have a corkscrew curl in the back. That makes my hair especially difficult to deal with. Kris' first cut of my hair convinced me to keep me coming back. He handled all that wildness with ease and has continued to do so all these years. He's a total pro and I won't trust my cuts to anyone else.

Side note: he also does my wife's hair and he is an expert colorist. That's his real specialty. Couldn't recommend him more highly.

I was not blessed with good hair and spent the first 30 or so years of my life feeling self-conscious about it. Enter: Kathy. She is an absolute artist when it comes to hair extensions. Even hair professionals don't know I have extensions until I point them out. Kathy truly changed my life and everyone I've used at Gemini 14 is absolute top of their field. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Revolving door of stylists, but definitely high end with clientele (think famous B-List celebs, maybe A). Nice environs.

I have been going to Gemini 14 for over ten years. Everyone is wonderful, professional and so accommodating. They are always ready, willing and able to help you in any hair crisis. I come all the way from uptown just to see Kristina and Kathy! They re fabulous and always do the best job with my hair. I love this salon and I will always continue to shlep from the UES downtown to see them.

Super clean, and I got a great cut and nice open ambience. Always can tell that an owner takes pride in place by a clean bathroom as well! Convenient location. I use Dane who I love but I m sure they re all good.

Easily one of the top 5 salons in NYC. Every time I go there is a new adventure like running into a celeb. The whole experience is so cool.

I only allow Michael to touch ny hair. He is the absolute best wonder presentation, side manners, excellent professional and this is why i will fallow him until the end. Only reason i did not give it a 5 star is due to the staff that washes hair unfortunately do really scrub your scalp ive had to many times ask for a third wash because i would scratch my scalp and hair is still dirty management needs to really make some changes in the washing station.

I have been coming here for almost 2 years and I LOVE it! Michael is amazing and always knows what you want, even before you ask him. He takes the time to listen and gets it right first time, every time. Oh, and he's so much fun as well! Highly recommend this place.

I had a cut done by Raffi, who's new to the salon, and was totally floored. I've never had a stylist who works with such attention to detail and precision. The layers he did make my hair beautifully full. Love it!!!

The gestalt of Gemini is the best combo of everything you like about modern salons (uber-cleanliness, high ceilings, sleek lines, insistent but not overly loud soundtrack) with everything you treasured about oldstyle -- namely, the the friendly peeps in the chairs next to you. Did I mention the people doing color are great? They listen to what you want, and adjust accordingly. I've been going to various colorists here for years. The best part for this restless, no fuss person? I do not feel like I'm in the Baatan Death March of pampering. I can get the hell out of there in an hour if I want to. On the other hand, you can luxuriate for hours with various services, if that's your jam...

I have been going to Gemini 14 for over five years now. My stylist, Naomi is simply amazing for color, treatments & cut. The service is great, they really treat you well from the time you walk through the doors until you leave. I recommend this salon highly.

I have been going to Gemini 14 for close to 10 years. I see Kathy every few months for cut/color and hair extensions. She is amazing at what she does and one of the best in the industry. The salon is visually beautiful and the stylists are all so friendly and equally as talented. I wouldn t let anyone but Kathy touch my hair. I have been getting extensions for years and I have absolutely no damage, thanks to Kathy. If you are looking for new style, extensions or playing with color, it s the place to go!

Kathy is a hair colorist/stylist goddess! Not only is she the best colorist I've ever had, she is a beautiful person inside and out, making you feel like a true queen when you leave! She knows the science behind coloring, which is equally as important as a vision. Her balayage skills are on point as well as her hair cuts. It's magic because each time she cuts my hair it grows. She's got that touch that not many people have.

The people at Gemini are all friendly and welcoming. The salon itself is beautiful and the environment is very warm.

I definite recommend that who ever is looking for a professional hair salon to look no further this salon is for you.
