They have the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. They transported my 92 year old father to the doctors office. The doctors visit was 20 minutes and had my father waiting over a hour to pick him back up. Had to call them twice as well as the rehab center to get them to come.
This is not the first time I had this experience with their service.
Just call another service, no one can be this bad.

I give them one star for the website wouldn't let me give them no stars.

My mother had the worst and most humiliating experience with Gem. My mother went to dialysis at 5am in the morning. She was left at the dialysis center until 4:00pm. Gem Services never picked her up at the time they were supposed to and not only that when we called them several times nobody would pick up the phone. My father finally got through and the dispatcher complained that they were busy and she would be picked up within 45 mins. That was around 1pm. An hour later after another phone call we were told they had a problem with their vehicle...I guess it broke down. We tried calling several medical transports and unfortunately they were all busy. My father was going to go pick her up but it was advised from her rehabilitation center that could be a liability because she was on a stretcher and we would have to put her in a wheelchair, even though we have a van that is wheelchair accessible. Gem Services finally picked my mother up at 4:00pm. She didn't eat anything all day and she didn't have her medicine. Plus she was not able to get the proper physical therapy. All of this could have been a major health risk. This is completely disgusting and disgraceful to treat someone like this and this company should not be in business.

Have a problem with EMTs questioning care and why we call to transport pt to hospital. Try to diagnose. Put down treatment and try to prove nurses wrong. Have an attitude. Not all. But a few. Disappointing. Try to contact corporate. Never get through. So perhaps they will see this and reach out to me.

They just transported my dad from a sub acute care facility to the hospital. We we behind them when the vehicle in front of them, not using a turn signal, cut the ambulance off. We appreciate their safe driving and quick reaction. They were kind and let us have a moment with him before transporting just so he can see our faces and hear our voices. Thank you for your patience!

They knew well in advance what time my 93 year old mom needed to be picked up. They were late getting her to her doctor, then left her sitting in a wheelchair waiting to be picked up from the doctor s office when the office called them with an hour advanced notice. That is not responsible and bad for the patients who rely on them. We won t be using them again.

I have never had such an unprofessional interview experience as I did with Gem. I made myself available on 6 different days to interview with different people throughout the company. I drove to lakewood several times and then Pennsauken, and again back to lakewood. Only to be emailed that I wasn't selected for a position and a different direction was being taken. Everyone I interviewed with said they liked me and acted like they wanted me to join the management team. I interview last with Jay, who himself just started with the company only to be declined a position. I was told many times that " this isn't the way Gem does things." From the beginning with Julie texting on her cellphone while I drove 2 hours to interview. It clearly is the way Gem does things and it has shown. It really does go to show that if someone from the outside can be treated this way then one can only believe the negative reviews that former and current employees are giving Gem management. I truly had a lot to offer and believed I could have been a true asset to the company with my 21+ years of experience! Their loss!
