I would highly recommend reviewing your warranty info before walking out of their door. Their receipt states 12/12, however when I spent 5k for a complete rebuild they advised the warranty would be 36/36 that was acceptable. The gentleman I checked out with at that time told me the warranty was automatic but I still asked him to indicate it on my receipt. He did. 3/23/2020 I take vehicle to be looked at, reverse sticks sometimes. They advised they need to go in and all give me the price advise that I'm past the 12/12 warranty. I mention I have a different warranty gentleman says no it states in our computer 12/12. I wasn't going to argue, for me there was no point because I'm over the 36k anyway. I'm unsure if they have new people or what but if they can't make proper computer notes for a warranty that made me nervous for them to do more work. Just be sure you have proper documents of the warranty they give you.

Eagle Transmissions is absolutely fantastic. From beginning to end, the entire experience was top notch. Frank did a wonderful job of explaining the process, diagnosing the issue and quoting a fair price. I felt completely at ease thru the entire process. And to top it off, his mechanics fixed the issue perfectly! I highly recommend Eagle Transmissions in Plano, TX.

My Cadillac Escalade had developed a serious engine knock, and my troubleshooting efforts brought me to Eagle on Coit Rd. From the first moments inside the shop I felt assured that this was a helpful establishment. The manager Frank greeted me with an inviting smile, and listened to me describe my symptoms. Then he took my key and said, "let me just take a quick look." After a free diagnostic, he and his staff all came in to discuss my options and sent me away to do a few DIY remedies to see if the noise would go away. They took no money. They didn't take an opportunity to charge me for unnecessary work. They simply offered friendly advice and a positive helpful attitude. I was so impressed with Frank's kind help and the staff's integrity. Also, the place is clean and nicely appointed...loved the Texas shop decor. Nice job guys!

The guys at Eagle did a great job diagnosing the problems with my AC and got it fixed for me as quickly as they could. They were very straight with me and didn't overcharge me or try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need or want. I really appreciated their help and will definitely be back with any future car issues or routine maintenance. Thanks again guys!

Had a gremlin between the transmission and the engine computer that I could not find, and it had the 1999 Dodge Durango in "limp" mode, which was slowly killing the transmission (as well as gas mileage). Took it to a different shop, who replaced a part and returned the truck to me with the same symptoms, no trans fluid, and charged me $500 for the trouble, so after another week of not being able to locate the issue, I brought it here. Frank and his team took their time, found the problem (burned up connector), found all the cascade failures related to that initial failure (transmission clutches burned up, ECU burned up), offered me options for repair and listened when I explained my needs, tailored a solution for me, and did a great job within my budget. I highly recommend them to anyone needing transmission or general automotive repair work done, and especially to anyone wanting to have some upgrade work done while having a rebuild performed. Frank will do right by you.

I have been to Eahle transmissions in the past and it was such a hassle I kept putting off taking my car back it because it took 7 days to get back for anything. However I had to take it in finally and the sevice has COMPLETELY CHANGED. I was taken care of professionally and told what was needed before I left it. Then I got my car back in one day! They EXCEEDED my expectations and I am extremely happy with the results and service! I highly recommend them!

I have a 2011 ford f150. The transmission had been slipping for roughly 3 months. I took it to Ford in Frisco because there was a recall on the transmission. They were able to reprogram it and sent me on my way. The very next day it started slipping even worse than before. I called Ford back to tell them what was going on. Ford made me an appointment to bring it back up. When I went to the appointment I was told by the service advisor that they would have to keep my truck for a minimum of a week and that they weren't sure they could fix the problem. Fords advisor then tried telling me that I would need to replace my transmission when I told them I was leaving. I was told about Eagle Transmission in Plano. I called and spoke to the owner, Frank. He got me in on the same day. He offered a free diagnostic to see what the problem was with my transmission. In no time he discovered it was just low on fluid by 2 quarts!!! Frank took the time to understand what was wrong with my transmission. He did not try to upsale or lie to me like Ford did. I would HIGHLY recommend coming to Eagle Transmission over any other shop. You will not be disappointed.

I would recommend this place if someone is looking for a solid mechanic shop. I took in my Ram 2500 yesterday and they seemed to have it inspected in a timely manner. I figured it would take longer with how busy these places must be daily.....I had an issue with front wheel area, Frank told me some possible solutions and what those solutions would cost. We worked through it and I made a decision....... I would say to anyone interested.... it really pays off to know a little bit about your vehicle to have an intelligent conversation with the mechanic ya know? We have a very good resource called the internet. If you don't really know much, probably a good idea to act polite and kind to your service tech. One quote I heard the other day that resonates "lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part". Good spot to take your vehicle!

These really seem to be the "Good Guys" After two shops told me I needed a new transmission that I could not afford, Eagle did a diagnosis and found an electrical problem that they fixed for under $100.00, changed my transmission's fluid and filter, and my Jeep now runs fine! They have earned my business for sure! Thanks to Frank and the crew, you guys really saved the day.

About a month ago, my transmission starting slipping and I found a large piece of metal in the pan. Turns out it was the 2nd gear band adjuster saddle. The band was completely worn out. These guys rebuilt it for me for a reasonable price. Good customer relations. Alan was very helpful. They were very professional. Got the work done quickly. Dropped my truck off on Wednesday and picked it up on Friday. Very pleased with service. Highly recommend Eagle Transmission.

Very simple - those guys are very honest and do business the old fashion way , I came to check a problem in my SUV after my mechanic suggested a transmission problem, Eagle transmission check every possible thing and It wasn't a transmission problem but the Coils , after asking what would be the cost they actually suggested that I should have that taking care of by my mechanic because it wouldn't be fair to the mechanic- HONESTY. I recommend dearly that shop - ask for Shawn he is very knowledgeable and very pleasant person to deal with

STAY AWAY - it took them 25 days and three "we have fixed your issue", only to drive away and have the same issue within 3 hours, to realize I did not have a transmission problem (after they charged me $2500) I had a wiring harness issue ($500). The manager, Alan, doesn't return phone calls, is "out on a drive", "has my car up on the lift right now" and must have a 5 hour lunch break for his staff because no matter what time I called they were "at lunch". STAY AWAY go to the one off 15th in West Plano. I have disputed the charges and will let American Express handle it form here.

Ripped me off real bad!!! The manager Alan is a real big BSer. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! I took my truck in for a fan sound that was revving real high. It sounded like the trans was revving real high before shifting. Alan agreed that the fluid looked clean. After his guy took it for a test ride they sensed a sucker for the taking (Me). All of a sudden-- "It needs to be rebuilt and the fluid looks bad" Lies! Had to believe them cuz I need my truck. Had them "rebuilt" it. Picked it up and the exact problem was STILL THERE. Took it back in the shop, replaced the fan and--problem solved! Ripped me off for $2700 for a $200 fan. Alan is a shifty scammer!! Don't trust them. Go elsewhere

I called Frank at Eagle Transmission West Plano around 5:30 pm on Monday in a panic because I was told by another mechanic that my car's transmission needs to be completely replaced and the work will cost around $6,000. Frank told me he would be happy to check out the car and said he would wait for me at the shop, although the shop was approaching closing time. Frank called me the next day and told me about a potential fix on the bulletin board issued by BMW. He took time to explain to me the resolution, and I gave him the go-ahead to try the fix. Next day, my car was fixed! Eagle Transmission has discovered a way to fix my transmission without replacing the whole transmission. The cost of my repair was a fraction of what would have cost to replace the transmission. Frank was very professional, and I feel he went out of his way to research the best resolution available. I am so grateful that I found Eagle Transmission. I highly recommend Eagle Transmission West Plano. Thank you so much.

I enjoyed working with THIS Eagles Transmission (on Coit) I went there after poor treatment and handling from Eagles Transmission on 901 Avennue K *** (DONT EVER GO THERE PEOPLE) *** So, I went to this Eagles on Coit and they were professional to deal with and Todd was very knowledgeable. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars is because I was there for 7 1/2 hours waiting and it should have been half that time but they ordered the wrong part and it came in and then I had to wait for the real one to come in... Mistakes happen...I would still go back to them.. They are the best Eagles Transmission I know of.. But remember people...Don't go to Eagles at 901 Avenue k or you will be royally and financially screwed...Just a warning...........This Eagle was excellent

I have a 2007 Jaguar S type. I discovered i had a oil leak of some sort and took it directly to the Jaguar dealership on Plano Pkwy, they took my vehicle away for 2 hours and finally that called me to advised that i had a transmission leak and that it would cost approx $2000.00 to repair. I remembered that a couple of years back i had my 2005 Dodge Dakota's transmission repaired by Eagle Transmission in Plano on Coit Rd. So i took it to them and they also checked the leak out and discovered the leak (the same place and description as the dealership), yet they quoted me $500.00. Of course i left my vehicle the very next day for the repairs to be done. I picked up my Jaguar and NO LEAKS. I find it amazing that there is such a difference in price from dealership to private businesses. I will always be grateful for Eagle Transmissions and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs there transmission to be worked on. When you go to them, ask for Todd or Jim, they are the best in the business and great guys.......

I took my car there to have an oil leak fixed. Their technicians diagnosed the leak and fixed the leak promptly and for the price quoted. They also checked the entire engine and transmission for additional leaks and issues, and everything came back with no additional issues. It is refreshing to know that they are willing to go above and beyond what I requested to make sure that my vehicle is functioning as it should. I want to speak directly about the owner of this shop, Shawn. I have known Shawn for over 15 years. There have been a couple of posts on here about Shawn being a racist and other posts attempting to harm his character and his business. These accusations are not accurate and are nothing more than an attempt to damage him and his business. Google reviews are very helpful when they are honest....you can read the posts and know exactly which ones are real, and which ones are fake. I wouldn't hesitate to send all my family and friends to Shawn's shop for auto service.

My search started when my transmission started acting up at 135k miles and after inspecting a few transmission shops my thoughts of selling out were growing, but a friend at work recommended Eagle Transmission. I stopped by and was impressed with Tony s Certifications hanging in the lobby. Well after the test drive I asked Tony if I could inspect his overhaul shop and man was I impressed. With no forewarning his shop was clean and well organized, all the necessary equipment was at hand and well maintained. That is how I made my choice and I m happy to say my car rides like new again. I expect the cost breakeven point to be 6 months out and after that a few years more without a car payment. Thanks Tony for your service, I hope you like the picture of you in your shop that I posted.

If I could give zero stars I would! I took my car in for a transmission flush & was told they would run a diagnostics to see what was wrong &/or needed. I was told I needed a tune up & that would fix my issue. I was charged almost $700 (which is way over priced for my vehicle) and it didn t fix anything. Frank is very rude & lacks empathy! Every time I was told to bring my car back so they could look at it there was some type of excuse as to why they couldn t get to it or fix it. I feel like once they got my money I was dismissed. I asked several times for a detailed invoice that included a breakdown of labor costs, taxes, etc... & still haven t received it. I sent a letter to corporate and never heard back. I wasted a lot of time & money that I can t get back. Will not be returning or referring anyone there! Customers are the reason you have a job...remember that!

As a female who knows nothing about cars I always have that worry when car issues (lights) pop up and a mechanic is in need. I don t want to be taken advantage of and pay for things that aren t really the issue. I took my 2011 Nissan Rouge to Eagle Transmission due to my transmission light coming on. Shawn and Arron were very professional, broke everything down to me so I could understand, had great communication on when my car would be ready, and advised me what would eventually need to be fixed. Like any shop you can find flaws ,but when it comes down to it This Shop fixed a problem with my car that two other shops missed .They gave me back a car that was totally fixed!!! they took care of all the problems for a fair price and did it in an acceptable amount of time, so I give them this rating telling you if you want to fix your car take it here if you want to have some one fix part of the problem but still aren't satisfied then take it somewere else this is a good shop this is a shop that cares about putting a car out of the shop that won't break and is in good shape they care about the class of work they do and they do first class work

Do NOT EVER come here! This is a terrible place with terrible service. I went in to get a rear axle repair (which took over 5 weeks to complete) and was charged over $2,000. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I was dissappointed and shocked to see that my vehicle had not been fully repaired and had actually sustained NEW damages (courtesy of their incompetent staff). I informed management about this and they did not care or bother to fix the problem. I was forced to visit another repair shop to fix their mistakes. This establishment is ran by liars and scammers. If I could give no stars I would. I took my car in to have them check out my clutch. I dropped it off Thursday and did not get a call about my car till Tuesday. Just for them to tell me that I need a new transmission and a new clutch. Turns out all it was, was a hydraulic hose. After that I asked them to park my car outside and that I was going to pick it up after I got off work. (Which was late) when I arrived to pick up my car, I noticed that when they parked it, they ran the bumper up on the curb and cracked it to hell. When I contact the STORE MANAGER, ALAN. He tells me that I'm a scammer and the owner of the business agrees and there not fixing anything. So not only did this shop lie about what was wrong with my car, they wrecked it and won't take responsibility. The store manager Alan is a thief and a coward for not owning up to his responsibilities. I will never even drive past this shop anymore more less recommend it to someone.

Their "Free diagnosis" turned out costing me $75 and they tried to get $125 out of me for the "diagnosis". I got the problem fixed at a competitor, including the part, for the same as their "diagnosis" charge. They also tried to shame me into paying them more because my wife picked me up in a new Chevrolet truck. Draw your own conclusions, but I am reluctant to recommend them.

My experience with Eagle Transmission on Coit in Plano was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Aaron saved me thousands of dollars by ACCURATELY diagnosing the problem with my Ford truck that even a ford dealership could not pinpoint! I paid the dealership $135 for two wrong diagnosis of the problem. I called Eagle and Aaron guessed at the diagnosis within 2 minutes of conversation about the vibration the truck was making. He even said bring it by AT NO COST and he would run diagnostics on it to confirm. Instead of spending the 3k to 6k the dealership wanted me to on what they thought was a transmission problem I walked out of Eagle Transmission with a simple tune-up and transmission fluid change for under $870 and the problem was fixed!
