Really knowledgeable staff and superbly made pointe shoes!

Robyn was an excellent, knowledgeable fitter. My daughter will enjoy dancing in her gaynor minden.

It's in an apartment building ing, which in a little confusing the first time. You have to be buzzed in. Very nice people! Had a very comfortable and successful fitting.

I walked in for my first pair of Gaynors without an appointment and despite that they had one of their girls fit me in between scheduled clients. They asked me several questions about my past shoes and what I look for in a shoe. My left foot likes to twist its shank and one is a half size larger than the other. They were extremely generous in offering me suggestions and supplies (complimentary) to help control the shank twisting and to fill the extra space of my smaller foot. The only recommendation I have is to special order the suede tips. I wish I had done so on my first pair. Once the satin goes the shoe is pretty much shot. The suede tip makes them last MUCH longer.

Yes Yes Yes!!!!! I love this store! Slightly hard to find, but 100% worth it. I had already been wearing Gaynors, but the very friendly and very helpful ladies here helped me improve my fit, and now I love them even more! These are the only shoes that work with my weird feet! There was a HUGE varietyof shoes, but the people at the store fitted me perfectly and made me love my Gaynors so much! There are many accessories you can mix and match during your fitting that help you make your already amazing fit practically perfect. Barely need toe pads! Thank you Gaynor Minden for your great customer service and awesome pointe shoes and accessories!

Amazing fitters and shoes. My daughter was breaking in her pointe shoes every 2-3 weeks. We found GM and cannot be happier. She now gets new pointe shoes every 3-4 months. Everyone at Gaynor Minden is amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend you visit them. The building was a little hard to find the first time but just look for the address and a small dancer logo on the lower left of the outside door.

Gaynor Mindens enable me to seamlessly roll through my feet in a way other shoes can for only a small window of their life. I love the consistency, quietness, longevity and the company's amazing service. I can always count on them!

Robin was great! Attentive to details and asked the important questions. My daughter was happy during the fitting. We can tell Robin really enjoys what she is doing. She took us in right away even though we came in 45min earlier than our appt. I m sure that is not always the case, but with our visit we were lucky since we were coming from NJ. Happy to know that my daughter can get a lot of mileage out of GM shoes bc they are a little bit more pricier than the old ones we bought. However, worth the investment.

Wonderful accommodating service. My daughter had many classes during her ballet summer intensive, that the only time she could be fitted for pointe shoes was when the store opened, before her first class. We only had less than an hour. They quickly evaluated and narrowed the selection of what she would need, brought her three different types to try, and she found a pair she loved in no time! These shoes are now her favorite pointe shoes. We have wanting to come here for a fitting for a couple of years. This is the place to be fitted for Gaynor Mindens, where they have all their styles in-house. They are able to evaluate the proper fit for your feet and needs. My daughter is very happy, and now we are able to place additional orders from home. She also selected a leotard and toe pads and spacers. Leotards are beautiful and also excellent quality. My older daughter's GM leotard is her ballet teacher's favorite. She comments on it every time my daughter wears it.

Where else to bget the absolute best ballet shoes! This said the attendant wz more interesdted in smiling, nodding, and trying to please the customer "with image" than substance. Of asked an opinion it's better to provide an expert view than noid and scrape to the customer supplying them what you think they want to hear. Luckily we could reorder when back home to correct the fckup.

Lovely small store inside a beautiful home. Extremely friendly young lady helped me find a leotard for my daughter's ballet performance

Only for the initiates in the balet (in my case with a fierce daughter) you can not go to NY and not buy one of the most famous sneakers in the world. If my wife and I did not buy a Gaynor shoe, it was better not even to go home. Simple place, but almost legendary for the balet world.

Not a lot of stock with leotard but the building is lovely and the woman that was assisting me was polite and more than happy to help.

I wasn't planning on buying anything, but they're so nice and professional that I couldn't resist. They did a fit for me and I ended up buying a pair of pointe shoes. This is more like a showroom and not a store. They have an excellent fitting service. I would not recommend to go just to look, the place is so small that there's nothing to look. Best if you already know you're gonna buy or to do a fitting.

Go to New York and visit Gaynor's lovely place !!! The girls are very attentive !!!
