We went to the gateway playhouse for a Halloween walk through and it was amazing!

We were amazed at the production of Les Miserables. The actors and actresses we terrific. It rivaled the Broadway productions. Highly recommend it to all.

It was pretty awesome. They have great lighting effects with sound and wind to help with the exhilaration of the senses. My girlfriend was excited and so was I. Only thing missing was the touching, there should be waivers signed so that those that sent mind can wear some neon type tags as signs to allow touching. They have the right idea on how to surprise you. Actors are great, they do their job well.

I love this place for Halloween. The haunted house is incredible and we'll worth the price and you can have a beer while you wait. I've come here for 3 years and it's consistently awesome.

Loved working and performing here. The housing leaves some to wish for, but staff and crew are great!

First time visit. Last year, experienced Dark Side in Wading River. I enjoyed both Haunted Houses, but there are differences. Gateway, like Dark Side had very creative props, rooms and themes. I felt Gateway had more rooms and themes. Was surprised at how many very young people were playing the scary characters which was different from DS. Characters were mostly jumping out with a scream or two in your face or crying, but not much in the way of any other acting per se. Loved the stairwells down into basements, moving floors and bridge. The red eyes room, items to navigate through or hanging from ceiling were a treat. Also the Darkside didn t have the interactive Guest Services Zombie (humorous & eerie, an arcade, shop, picture ops and food outside which are all great ideas and fun. The electronic number signs to know when it s your groups turn is a great idea rather than just waiting in line. Overall, we had a lot of fun! Both are same price. Would be helpful if coupons or Groupon discounted rates were available.

Had a great time! Will definitely go back next year for their haunted house. It was worth every penny. There were refreshment and it was well organized.

Had a good night out. Tables and chairs are in an outside area that you can sit and hang out if you get to the playhouse before the show. The shows themselves seem very well put together for an off Broadway show. Only company is that there isn't a full bar, beer and wine only

Cant wait til halloween. This is the go to haunted house every year!

At first visit, you may be thrown off by the dirt parking lot, but once inside, you will be blown away at the theater itself. Not a bad seat in the house(unless you're under 5') and the performances rival Broadway. Really!

Amazing job with the haunted house... one of the better ones on the island! Buy your tickets before hand to save some money.

I enjoyed the play. The actresses were talented and Hilarious! Great voices as well. The theater can use some updating but I must say the ladies restroom was really clean to be old

This is a great way to spend a fun time with the family...Drive-in movie...such a safe and new way for our kids to experience a nostalgic and once forgotten family pass time .

Absolutely fantastic job by all VOLUNTEERS!!! Kids "not so scary" version during the day, and a great spook in the evening for a good date night.

This is a show that should not be missed! One of the best performances We have seen. Flawless From the very first scene to the closing , the show was non -stop perfection!

I saw the Flashdance movie starring Jennifer Beals back in the early 80's when it first came out and I loved it. When I saw it was turned into a play I had to go see it but I must admit that I was a bit skeptical when I bought the tickets. However, I was not disappointment with the show and I enjoyed the whole cast and thought Julia Macchio was amazing. I would definitely recommend that everyone see the show.

Gateway Playhouse has been a staple for performance arts and workshops on LI for many decades. It has only gotten better with the years. I have attended performances since the 1960s. Over the years the playhouse has accommodated attendees with a selection of snacks and drinks both prior to the performance and at intermission. There is plenty of ourdoor seating to relax and take in the charm. The last performance we attended was Caberet. The sets were believable and changed effortlessly. The voices of the performers and stage presence was as good as those on Broadway. We'll worth the drive to Bellport.

Would work here again in a heartbeat!! How a one star rating w/no review got posted in the first place I'll never know, so deleted it once it was mentioned to me. Playing Fraulein Schneider, one of my favorite roles again, has been a God send, and I thank Paul, Michael, Larry, Scott, Rob, and everyone in the Gateway family for their generosity, hard work, and for making CABARET a joyous experience.

Very nice experience. Staff wonderful. Theatre very cool. Cabaret show was probably the best small theatre experience I have Ever had. Acting amazing!

Awesome production of ACL (that's "A Chorus Line" for the uninitiated amongst you). Only complaint: The orchestra was way overmiked; the cast not nearly enough. Otherwise, fantastic!

Love the productions. Actors, actresses, singers, and entire crew are so professional. You feel like you are seeing a production in Manhattan, meanwhile it is in your own backyard.

Its always a pleasure to attend a show at the Gateway, The Bodyguard was great, The actors did a fantastic job. it was a 5 star performance from Start to Finish....

Great haunted house ! It was the perfect amount of scare for me, I like that the actors can t touch you. The set up is nice, there is a lot to do while your waiting to go inside. It does get pretty hot inside so if your wearing layers deff take some off before you go in. There is tons of actors and the decorations were awesome !

Broadway level performances at a local historical theatre

A small venue so every show is an intimate experience there are no bad seats in the House

One of the best shows I've ever seen and I've seen a lot! Music, lyrics, choreography, direction, sets, costumes, make-up, actors, dancers... absolutely phenomenal show... just as refined as you'd see on Broadway. didn't seem possible! Don't miss it!!!

Enjoying my summer subscription. Each show has been excellent. Very entertaining. I attend Sunday evenings when I work during the day. It puts a nice ending to my working weekends.

Saw Chorus Line, a long way from Broadway but enjoyable.

Great show. Nice venue. Just wish there were high top tables or something for when you have a drink in the lobby waiting for show.

If you are looking for a cheap enjoyable time, this is a good choice. There is even an icy shop in the same parking lot. Get there early for good parking. This is not a professional playhouse but they put on a good show. I sometimes use this place at work with people with mental disabilities.

Clean theater and staff was very courteous. It is a small theater so every seat is a good seat. I would definitely go back.

The Bodyguard The Musical. Great production, great sets and great performances. Kimber Sprawl and Danea Osseni overwhelm and steal the show!

I have seen Cabaret many times, including Broadway. This is the best production I have seen. Do not miss it.

Easily the best haunted house on LI for the money! It s been a family tradition for years. Buying tickets online makes it $5 cheaper as well!

I went to their haunted house and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a scare and didn't mind being around a million 12 year old girls

"GET ON YOUR FEET" was absolutely fantastic!! A great way to start the summer season!

Legends of Country was an outstanding show, especially Corrie Sachs as Reba. She was phenomenal. The music, singing and different stars were excellent. The show was so uplifting. The ending of show with Only in America gave me goosebumps.

Supurb regional theater. Acting talent drawn from the same pool as Broadway shows. Good to exellant technical theater.
Go see "Little Shop of Horrors' if you possibly can!

We come every year to the not so scary haunted house. Very disappointing this year. Not worth the price.

The way from rockland county and it was so worth it ! Great actors, great room settings, very very trippy lol and great customer service I absolutely have no Complaints my friends and I loved everything about it. Would definitely be returning next year.

Felt really authentic and old fashioned, but a little tight on space.
