A little slice of heaven, this resort is magical. It's surrounded by beautiful red rocks, the smell of flowers, the happiest birds I've ever heard, and the friendliest staff.

Highly recommend booking a room with a private hot tub. We staying in room 125 in the Kiva Lodge and enjoyed an amazing view!

This place is amazing ! The view / scenery/ location is second to none. The service all over was over the top - really trying to make your stay as best as possible. Only recommendation - maybe have larger menus (more items) as if you stay for more than 2 nights it s gets a little boring but also understand it s hard to get supplies

I got the Moab experience without the Moab craziness and traffic. Awesome Mountain biking, amazing scenery, excellent facility. The car museum is one of the best I've ever seen. It's expensive--your're paying 4 Seasons prices. Not sure the value is completely there but we will visit again.

What a find! It s tucked away in its own canyon an hour from Grand Junction. It s a resort with so many things to do. Badminton, hiking, biking, horseback riding, spa, swimming. The first room we had was attacked by fruit flies so we had to change at night and despite this inconvenience, we were happy with our room and fire place. Dining is somewhat limited as you are very far from restaurants. The resort has two so if you stay a long time, you may tire of them. They have a Tesla charger which didn t work for our EV but they were able to find an outlet so we could plug in our car. You are pretty deep in the canyon so if you come with an EV that s not Tesla, make sure to have enough battery to get out.

Here with my wife and three young daughters, even though it s only been a day and a half so far I felt compelled to leave the review. Would be 10 if google had the stars. Very friendly staff, everything is laid back, the property and the views are equally stunning. Good pools! Dinner and breakfast were much better than I expected.

The best part is all of the stuff for the kids to do!

If things suddenly go down hill, which I seriously doubt, I ll update the review.

We recently visited the Gateway Canyon resort and were more than impressed with the entire experience. It starts with the beautiful drive through the red canyons that leads to the resort. Once there you re awed by the serene beauty around. It is right in the center of some massive canyons.
We checked in to the room to find all the rooms had been sanitized and sealed. We had booked a kiva cottage which had a beautiful patio with a view of the canyons (which I just couldn t get enough of). In terms of amenities, most of the restaurants were closed, just one was operational (Entrada) which had limited food options but enough to get us by. What had us most enthralled was the number of activities available in the resort. We started with renting a cruiser bike (which is included in the resort fee), we then rode up to their vintage car museum (Gateway Museum) which was pretty empty during this time giving you enough time to explore each of beauties displayed there. You also have options to try horse riding and other interesting activities at a nominal fee. Overall, we had a pretty refreshing stay at this beautiful resort, loved exploring the massive property which had something new to offer at every corner. Definitely going back in summers to make the most of it and to see its garden in full bloom.

Pros: Views, nice trails, Corey gave nice tours, bed was pretty comfy

Cons: Our private hot tub did not work the whole time, we did not receive the complimentary bikes that are supposed to come with the casitas (nor were we contacted when bikes were available like we were told we would), floors in room were dirty and sofa bed had food in it upon arrival; piles of dog hair from previous guests' grooming laid on our patio for four days despite reporting it on the first day; room service dishes sat on our porch for days. Pool opened second day without the bar. Hammocks weren't hung until the third day.

The most disappointing part of the stay was Mickey's response to our request for accommodating a discount during for our stay. Our total tab was over $10K and they took off less than 5% when the experience and level of service we were sold was not even close to being delivered. I never ask for discounts or refunds, but this stay completely missed the mark and the guest recovery process felt like no one on the management level was willing to accept responsibility.
