I went here end of 2014 - mid 2015 I must say you will make some friends here true enough but if yu are 16/17/18 still in school DO NOT go there they make it so hard to get your diploma ! The wellness center gives you medicine you DO NOT NEED I was 16 I have a heart problem and they was giving me medicine that could've killed me my doctor told me lucky for me I was smart enough to not take the medicine before showing my mom and she requested I came home asap and we went to my doctor and then they was giving me birth control pills without me or my mother consent . And I'm not even sexual activite and if someone steal something of yours they don't care ! It's a ok place over all but they wellness need to be looked at cause that's not right if I would've died by taken all that medicine that would've been messed up

i was here from 1986 from to 1988 it was amazing school it is a very respectful school my dad was here he learned welding and mechanic he is still missing this school

Make sure you are there for the right reasons, don't follow bad trends, habits or just bad people.
Life teaches us great things if we stay a while and listen. Be mature, responsible and your time there should fly by.

I went there bk in 2001. Best experience for any kid without any direction. If you going and really want to learn something you can. I took up Electrician and now I own my on Electric service company! Not all due to job corps but they started it for me. Wonder if Ms O still work there!

Attending, and Staying in Nueces, great program, lots of fights, and needs better food. Either then that it's decent

I graduated the welding program in 1978 and secured immediate employment in Corpus Christi. After several years gaining experience in various shops and construction sites I joined the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters from which I recently retired. I am forever grateful to Gary for helping a young delinquent like myself not only learn a lifelong trade but also take the first steps of responsibility in becoming a man.I would recommend this program to any young person that is struggling for direction in life.

this place is no good at all to me my experience was bad. the kids was rude and disrespectful the teacher ms Moore reading teacher was also rude she tells the class to be quiet and shes the main one talking i didnt like that at all she was so disrespectful to me it hurt because i knew how to read and i was sure to pass to pass my reading TABE TEST, And another point about it they a test call TABE it didnt matter if you graduated or drop out you still had to take TABE if you pass then its good if you didnt then all trouble
break lose you will have to take classes for it. i cant forget my teacher ms battle that had me at zero percent then upgraded to 3 percent and it been over 50 something days she was wrong and i started to hate her i wish i had a different instructor like serious she was no good to me because i was 17 waiting to go to job corp then. then they got them fake security officers called com life to help you and take you places one officer was being rude saying that im not a taxes then there was another problem that i reported bullying they did nothing and thought it was a joke like serious i don't recommend that place at all. all they do is smoke which bother my sinus and stupid dum people would bring weed to a program that suppose to help you and then get terminated some security officer com life let some people get away with that stuff mainly it would be the cool ones....

Well I can say this I was hesitant at first about sending my daughter here after reading some of the reviews, but let me say this everyone has their own opinion and goes through different things. So how I see it is this place has been good to my daughter she hasn't had any problems, she enjoys school now! Not to mention this is an opportunity for her to complete high school and get a trade out of it as well! It's all what your child's intentions are in the first place for attending! Trust me my daughter didn't want to attend this place but after going she is glad she did and I am too!

I used to study there in the seventhies. Great Place! Nice People. I studied Commercial for 2 years. I had a complexion certificate.

As a mother of 4 I would never ever again send one of my children here. My oldest daughter was going here as a non resident student and today she was very sick throwing up So I got a call to pick her up. I waited for 2 hrs to get someone to bring her to the front to me, and that's because I told them I had enough of waiting to get my sick child to a Dr. That I was calling police and a ambulance to go get out of this place. As soon as I said something about police and a ambulance they brought her to me with in 5 minutes. Please Please Parents I urge you to not send any child/young adult to this place. My child was very sick and the staff is their to just receive a paycheck. The majority of them don't care. Let me remind you my child is 19 she is an adult and they have no respect or care for anyone in that place.

It is of what you make it. I was there in 89 to 92.... I was well known as Chief. Cuz i was a orientation leader. When new students came to the Gary. And was the mayor of the dorm too.Yes you have Drugs and other stupid stuff. Walk a straight line. Go to job crop for education and get a trade. And have fun the good things about Gray job crop Center. Dont get in involve with the wrong crowd. Go to the center what it is for.....
