What makes this place so amazing is not just the food (which is out of this world) but the SERVICE. I cannot explain the level of the wait staff here - whether it's someone refilling your water or explaining in details the menu, this place only employees the A+ star players. I am not sure how to put into words the level of service other than - five star.

Now onto the food. Wow. Wow. Wow. Everything was more than perfect - from timing, to taste to temperature. I had the duck which literally melted in my mouth - and the sauce was so perfectly flavored and cooked, I could have just eaten it with a spoon. The smoked oyster appetizer was everything they said it would be and the butter cake dessert - just roll me out into the street!

I can honestly say I think Gary Danko was the best meal I have ever had on this earth - and I don't know how anyone could ever top the food or the service. Worth every penny of the steep price tag. Treat yourself and indulge.

The pick up experience was really easy since I parked right in front where their valet service normally would be. Walked right in and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Exactly the kind of service I would expect from GD! My order was ready right on time.

I was so eager and excited when I saw they had a whole roast duck on their menu for the week. My thing with duck is that it is sooo good when it is done right and can be dry and so so when not. This is not an equal comparison but Chinese deli roast ducks are often really good. Juicy and tender.

The creamy broccoli soup was also just average. The flakiness of the puff pastry crust for the mushroom and asparagus tart was quite good. The baked Alaska looked really really pretty but the flavor and taste fell short because it was quite tart even without the orange sauce.

The whole takeout experience at home took about 1.5 hours to prep, reheat and eat. So it is not a simple take home and ready to eat kind of meal. I like doing these kind of fancy takeout meals because I have fun putting the dishes together. On my own from scratch it would take too much time and ingredients to do so.

Great and wonderful Michelin star restaurant. I love this place and have been here many many times . It's seasonal with a lot of the things since it's all fresh but the menu is very nicely put with basically the appetizers and main courses and desserts all separated and you form your own 4,5,6,7 ,8 or however many course tasting menu by picking out your selections. The black and white truffle are seasonal so try it whenever you can it pairs great with all the dishes. The area is nice and I really liked the ambience of all dining areas in this restaurant. Truly a very solid restaurant overall! I love this place !

All were delicious and even more so as the warming process (duck was longest at 20-25 minutes) is going to make you salivate as you prep everything that looks so good. Granted that the only thing we're doing is warming items up, so you've got to appreciate the up-front work that goes on in the actual preparation of these items and writing of instructions. Who the heck knows how to de-spine a duck? Or make a take-away Baked Alaska that will stand up to traffic and still look culinary magazine material?

First review of 2020 goes to one of my all-time favorite restaurants - Gary Danko! I've been here 3 times, with the most recent visit being on Christmas Eve with my whole family of 9. We got seated in the back private dining room. What I love most about their tasting menu is that you can choose 3, 4, or 5 courses, and you can pick from any category. For example, if you want 5 meat courses, go for it! I decided to go with 2 appetizers (oysters w/ caviar; risotto), 1 seafood (lobster), 1 meat (duck breast), and 1 dessert (espresso gateau).

Best fine dining I've ever had in my lifetime. I came to meet up with my cousin, but then discovered they booked for X amount of seats and that I would not be able to sit with them because they forgot to ask for an extra chair. So I sat and ate at the bar area but my goodness....I had such a blast! Food is expensive, but worth the price for the experience and the taste. Sitting at the bar area, I got to meet a couple who came and ate for their anniversary and they ordered lots of food and decided to share some of it with me so I was extremely appreciative! The bartender was also incredible at keeping me company so all in all, it was most fun night I've had for a fine dining experience.

I was super excited to finally try it myself, and believe me, it definitely lives up to the hype!! The way the menu works is you have the option of choosing the chefs chosen prix fixe, or you can make your own! And when you make your own More

This was a celebratory outing for my parents' 30th anniversary, and Gary Danko did not disappoint. As soon as we stepped in, we got our coats/jackets taken and we got seated in a spacious booth for 4 people. We were then immediately greeted and ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

As far as the menu goes, we were told there were 4 options: chef's choice, or a mix of 3, 4, or 5 appetizers/fish/meat/dessert/cheese courses. Most of us chose 3.

The food was served HOT on top of warm plates, and the appetizers were fresh and delicately put together. I do not have any complaints about the food, except that the wheat rye bread was pretty plain for such a lavish spot.

We were then given an extra plate of miniature desserts and lemon cake for my parents' celebration. Overall, I thought the experience was great and I would definitely come back for another special event!

P.S. The restrooms were chic and had towels instead of paper to dry your hands! Wow...
