Food is over priced, small serving and not good. I recommend that you eat somewhere else while staying here.

This is one of the most expensive hotels in Zamboanga City. It is located near the airport (walking distance) and known to most tourists and foreign funders. Its one of the most expensive hotels but I can guarantee that you will be safe here and even your belongings. They have a policy that any items left and picked up by waiters will be turned over to the front desk.

There is no electric kettle in the room for tea and no slippers.

I like the ambience and the amenities ,and is just a few meters from the airport.

I would NOT recommend the Garden Orchid Hotel.
I had NO access to the internet, and it was non existent in my room. After complaining to the front desk personnel, I was then told to sit in the lobby,
and I might have better reception, which didn t help much. Then I was told that they were having problems with their provider. So, that left me unable to conduct business or communicate with friends and family After I gave up on
using the internet, I then decided to watch TV If you do not mind watching
a low-resolution, fuzzy screen, that periodically loses it s signal and shuts down,
then this might work for you .However, before I could relax and watch TV,
I had to squash two roaches that were running around my room, one on the
desk and one in the bathroom .. After dealing with NO internet, and no TV, I
decided to take a shower, unfortunately, the grout was laced with mold. So,
if mold and bacteria concern you, this may not be the hotel for you to stay
On a positive note, the staff was always pleasant, and willing to listen to my
concerns, house keeping did a very good job of making up my room on a
timely basis, and with armed guards posted outside of the hotel, I did have a sense of security in this terrorist infested area, that was on alert during my stay.
The hotel does have a restaurant and a bar, so if you get frustrated trying to
use the internet, watch TV, or you are too scared to leave the hotel, you can
always have a good meal or go to the bar and drink your time away, until you are able to check out.

This is my second time here, I visited the Philippines last year also. The kindness, courtesy and friendliness of the Hotel Staff really made me feel welcome here. I'm comfortable my room is clean and the atmosphere is calm. The pool is a plus!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Philippines.

Spacious bedrooms. Elegant function rooms that could accommodate small groups to large crowds.

So far so good. The room I am staying at is huge and the bed is king-sized (I am at the new building). This is the first day on an early Monday morning and I have yet to try their food here. They do say have function rooms for some events (we're staying here for a seminar we are conducting, CRVS 101). Wifi is weak at my room but at least they have an accommodating staff and a swimming pool which I look forward to engaging. Will be editing this when my 5-day, 4-night stay will be concluded.

Edit: Airconditioning at Yakan I hall is frustratingly defective as it is way more cooler outside of it. The food though, contrary to some comments, is surprisingly good.

A little expensive for it's level. No free water and the occasional black out makes you wake up in the middle of the night.

Clean and very good hotel to stay with. They serve delicious food and free breakfast. It is located at the center of Zamboanga City. With swimming pool around the buildings.

Room-shared with somebody and they gave us only one keycard, room has no complimentary water for the price, front desk very slow. Food is good though and near to the airport.

Love the beds, the breakfast, and the place in general. The place is very near the airport and They have a free airport transfer to and from the airport.

This hotel is located just hundreds of meter from Zamboanga international Airport. Rooms are nice and clean at affordable rate. They offered good breakfast. Good parking area is available for the guests.

it is an average hotel! the reason for my rating is your money's worth! their per night cost is NOT commensurate with their services and facilities!
at the breakfast, imagine a can of sardines, you opened it and you pour it on the chafing dish!! No onion slices, no parsley, or no other design at all! Fried fish, ampalaya con egg, chix curry and another dish were their breakfast food!!! they could have just served smoked bangus, smoked fish, or those dried fish!
at room 821, the flush of the toilet bowl is not functioning well!
the aircon is not working well!
only a pair of bedroom slipper is in the room, that is their standard! so you need to ask for one!
their facial tissue is just a small pack of tissue! not those in boxes!
complimentary water is purified water in a bottle and you will also ask for it!
and today is just our first day! and we have to bear it in the next five days!
hope it will be better!
for this amenities, 3K/night or less is just appropriate!

Our 43rd Annual Grand Session of the THE GRAND COURT OF THE PHILIPPINES ORDER OF THE AMARANTH held May 5-7 ,2019 was just concluded. I wish to relay to you the experiences of all the delegates billeted at GARDEN ORCHID HOTEL as follows

1. That upon landing they were impressed on the fast service of transpo that ferried them from the airport to the the hotel. They did not take long to wait for their turn.
2. That upon registration at the front desk the staff attending were all so competent, efficient and courteous and they were impressed on the fast service.
3. The room is wide and clean and the housekeeping section is fast to respond the need of the guest
4. The foods is superb because it served different menu everyday.
5 0ur first fellowship dinner was made May 4 held at the pool side at La Azotea were all delegates of almost 500 impressed not only on the beautiful venue but also best fitted on the event that has production numbers
6.During our 3rd night May 6 our fellowship theme was AMARANTH GOES BROADWAY held at the 9th floor at the theater .They all impressed on the venue because the delegates by District were able to perform assigned production numbers at spacious stage. and the spectators has seated comfortably
7. The delegates number is more than 500 and we have no problem to go up and down as it has 4 elevators available.
8. They were also impressed on the location of the hotel as its so near at the airport.
considering the services rendered , competent staff and the facilities of the hotel and with all their praises loaded at the FACEBOOK I doubt upon their coming back they will preferably booked not to others but to this hotel. .

It has maintain cleanliness, the sevice is on point, and thier cr is top notch, food depends on you and the expenses you pay.

Just pass by here-in last year and not check-in for i cant afford any more. Not like before, when i was employed as GLOBE Telecom FO Engineer. (un-excusable happened and for humanitarian consideration for who have gone MS in Telecommunications subject.. i.e.)

I just attended a wine and dine activity in the hotel in one of their functions. They have a very big hall and a stage with a good sound system. Their food is great.

very good for convention, weddings and other celebrations.

We stayed at the new building and common areas are nice and cozy. It even has four elevators. The room is big, two double beds for twin sharing is a big plus. Bathroom has a tub. The management, though, needs to improve on their service. It took us three calls for housekeeping to act on our request. The breakfast options are not tasty, our group would love daing versus the chicken hotdog they serve.

The luster of this place is gone. Dirty chairs, no sleepers, no (sealed) bottled water, old towels, old linens, no cable tv (there's nothing to watch). I really do not recommend this place.
