Gander Mountain - Ocala Review

Excellent outdoors storage and great opportunity in Ocala Florida

We went to Gander on the last day of the year to take advantage of their amazing year-end sales. We were trying to put a larger sized smoker onto the top of a shopping cart when Amanda from the gun department stopped and helped us. She found a dolly to haul the smoker to the checkout line for us. Because the checkout line was so long she opened up another register. She checked out our stuff even though we had a second cart that was overflowing with hunting clothes that was 50% off, and it wasn t even the end of hunting season yet. She then helped us load all of our stuff into our car. Amanda went out of her way to help us even though we were not in her department. She is an amazing asset to Gander!

Love the Keen sandals I purchased. I put at least 10 miles (16 Kilometers ) on them in the week I was in Florida. If you want high quality camping, hunting, fishing, outdoors goods, then this is the place to be. But with quality comes a price. So come prepared to pay for the quality. Note: the last pair I bought from Walmart for about $15 I gave to Good Will. They looked similar in design, but I could not break them in and they gave me blisters on my heel.

Very personable and professional. Helped me get the camper I wanted. Then helped get a payment I could afford. I was very pleased that they hooked me up to my truck and let me drive it to test how it handled.

Stopped by to check out Gander Outdoors today for the first time since it's opened. The store is clean and the layout of product is similar to that of Gander Mountain. They carry firearms, fish tackle, camping gear, active wear, bikes, shoes, sunglass, drones, archery equipment and much more. I dealt with Chris in the firearms department to ask some general questions and he was extremely helpful and kind you can tell he enjoys helping customers with anything he can. I didn't purchase anything today but I'm sure I will, thank you Chris for answering all my questions!

Without him my experience might not have been so good. He stepped up and got things done for me. I got a really good deal on a like new travel trailer. Over all a good experience.

First time there to use a gift card I got for Christmas so I was after certain items. They didn't have the things I wanted in stock despite what the online showed. I was looking for a particular cooler and rain gear and the selection was poor in the price range. For example on the cooler you had a choice of the high dollar yeti type or the basic Coleman. I was told the coolers are a seasonal item.... yeah this is Florida. Overall it was nice to go in and browse around. Good selection of hunting fishing and camping gear. Provided your not set on a certain item.

It's a long way for me to travel to shop on a regular basis, but I found lots of good deals, and could have spent a lot more time there. The sales floor staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. One caveat, you have to watch when your deals ring up if you're a Good Sam's Club member. The register wasn't always friendly even after my membership had been entered. And after several deals, the cashier insisted on seeing the flyer that I had brought with me but left in the car. They honored the deals, no question, once I provided evidence.

Clean, nice selection of guns, ammo, hunting and fishing gear, and most outdoor activity needs.

This was my first time here.
We noticed all the pull behind campers they had for sale and stop to look around. There were a lot of nice ones, Coleman's brands drivable kind pull-behind kind. They also had a lot of other stuff shoes close lounge chairs anything and everything for outdoor for your Outdoor World that a lot of cute socks for sale to I really like that place. attached some pictures so that you can see they are dog friendly and handicap accessible.
