Gallagher's Seafood Restaurant and J.P. Clarke's Country Pub Review

As a large group, we received first class attention and great food!

The food was exceptional in taste. We imagine the rest of the menu would have been as good. This was the highlight of our stay in Bunratty.

Well-priced food with amazing bread selection! As a vegetarian I enjoyed the spicy bean Bolognese. It was delicious and had grilled halloumi cheese. Enjoy!

Lovely place nice atmosphere but food is terrible! I've been a few times over the last good few years but the food is nothing like it used to be which is a real shame

Amazing food. First restaurant where the kids menu is just like adults but smaller portions.

Nice food. Service was prompt. Handy location en route back to Limerick from Galway.......

The atmosphere and service was top class. There was 12 adults in our company and not one did not enjoy the meal. The food was perfect. Thanks for a wounder full and very enjoyable night. This place is highly recommended.

I had a great seafood chowder. Fish n chips was disappointing.

We had no reservation, the restaurant was full. The waiter offered us to wait in the bar and after 20 minutes we got the table.
The service was very friendly, the food came quickly. With drinks, appetizers and main courses we paid 60 for 2 people.
The portions are quite large. Fresh, delicious! For the fish lovers I would highly recommend chowder and fish platter. The steaks were also on the point.

Amazing staff, made me feel very welcome. Delicious vege dinner and lovely atmosphere. As a visiting tourist it was lovely to hear local accents in amongst the diners, a genuinue Irish local.

The place looks really nice, friendly staff. Great service..... The food was OK. It wasn't bad.... but I guess I had higher expectations for a place that looks like this. I Would be back to try something different.

Good and nice frame. But if you are looking for a real Irish pub, this is not the place to come.

Had a lovely meal here staff very friendly and helpful.

Had to wait 50mins for food and had to ask could they bring our drinks after 15 mins, have eaten here before and was much more impressed

Good quality fresh food, very good service. Loses a star for overcooking my steak. Other people in my party would have given five stars. Definitely worth going.

We pre-booked for a Christmas meet up over light lunch and was v safe, with nice atmosphere & friendly staff. The only thing is it would be great if they had sanitiser on each table like in certain other restaurants nearby or placed on the way back from using loos & touching doors.. Missed their nice bread they used to serve serve but this may be due to covid safety.. Its a nice spot for a tasty casual bite.

Very disappointed with food 4 of us complained and we were totally ignored.

A lovely atmospheric pub. The service was great, the food was lovely but 2 meals had to be sent back as the meals weren't hot enough hence a star lost...

Food always good. Healthy tasty and enjoyable. Popular with tourist buses. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Close to Bunratty Castle but far enough away not to be in too heavy traffic.

We had a meal there, T Green Curry and rice, it lacked flavour, portions were very small for the price. Dessert sticky toffee pudding was ok . Cappuccino nice.

Top class restaurant. Will be back. Great staff, looking so smartly dressed.

Just don't choose the Seafood Plate if you are realy hungry, or choose it with some starter and desert.

Comfortable seating and surroundings. Effecient wait service. Steak cooked as ordered. Soup heavy and bland. Poor vegetarian options. No flexibility with regards to dishes on offer.

I didnt hate this place but wasnt happy with the service had BBQ ribs off the specials menu they wer very spicey which we wernt told the server rushed our order was not happy

Lovely restaurant friendly staff great atmosphere fabulous food.

Have been here a couple of times, and each time the food has been very good. Very reasonable prices, and always busy, which is a good sign. The chicken wings deserve a special mention as they are fantastic.

Had a gorgeous crab tagliatelli there today & my husband had a very tasty burger, lovely atmosphere, friendly efficient staff, we will definitely be back very soon

Food good service poor we were served by a waiter who had a very unfortunate personality in fact no personality he didn't engage with us at all couldn't care less if we there.its a pity because it suits us as a family to meet there it took two hours for our meal pushing him for each course as we were going to see Santy there is a bad atmosphere amongst the staff

I've been here before & certainly the food is good. Service was very slow on this occasion & we suspected a male member of staff caused a young waitress to cry....not very professional!

Nice food, nice location but the amount of men walking around in shirt and ties not in the uniform was crazy very intimidating and not one smile among them.

Really tasty steaks. They have the same definition of medium steaks as me. This place is really elegant restaurant. Nice localization near the Bunratty Castle. 5 minutes from Shannon. Good place for business lunch or team event. Prices are also not high in relation with quality.
