First time at Gabby's, and I may come back.

Pros: Def tasted fresh, lemonade was great, staff was friendly, didn't feel rushed, good sized portions.

Cons: Kind of tight, bathroom was dirty, no combos so it's a little more than I'd normally pay for a meal, was unimpressed by the fries.

You probably can't find a better burger in Nashville and if you do - please tell me and I will be eternally grateful! Listen. The place is kinda shabby and the fries aren't the best in the world. The burger, however, will likely make you question every other burger you've ever had.

Tucked away behind the sounds old stadium, this is certainly a local's must go to spot! But at lunch, don't be surprised to see the line out the door because it's not too secret anymore. One of (if not "the") best burgers in town! All the meat is grass fed beef and you can tell this place has a passionate owner who cares about the customer.

Hole in the wall Heaven. Everything's fresh, made on the spot. Fresh sweet potato fries, in fact, they resemble fresh sweet potatoes. I am a foodie and have been all over the country....this is where you should get a burger when in Nashville. Military friendly too. Get ready for a line though....this place is worth it

The food was great. I had the chili burger and fries. Next time I want to try the milkshakes.

It was worth the trip just for the show behind the bar. If there is a stool open at the bar I would suggest you sit there. You will be laughing the whole time.

It is well worth the wait. I can't wait until my next visit.

The service was quick, easy and friendly. The food was very tasty. Hamburger was juicy. Fries are cut in front of us. Plenty of different sauces. The owner made jokes with the workers in the kitchen. Very friendly and cozy experience!!!!

This place was a great little dive! They have fresh cut fries and sweet potato fries! Burgers were delicious and the shake rocked. Service was at its best, everyone was nice and helpful!!

There's few meals that I have that are as consistently delicious as Gabbys. Every. Single. Time. In my opinion, which is usually correct, its the best burger in Nashville. If you're looking for a frou-frou burger, you'll disagree. If you want something that is delicious, made with care, by great staff, then this is the one for you. Fries are fantastic, Chili is fantastic, the dessert bars are fantastic. Shakes? fantastic.

I hidden gem.

Looks small but outdoor seating which is covered is nice.

The good is amazing. Good sized portions, amazing flavour. The parking can be tricky.

A ridiculously good burger because Gabby's focuses on making a burger taste like a *burger.* I think it's an important distinction because too many burger joints forget that a burger is first, last, and always a piece of ground beef on a bun. Everything else is noise.

Go with the Little Seamus. Hand-pattied, grilled, and dressed to taste with fresh lettuce and onions, dill pickles and choice of cheese.

Good fries. Some prefer the sweet potato fries, but they leave me wishing I'd home with plain old potato fries every time.

The restaurant itself is small. Seats Maybe 2 dozen tops. Better to go as a pair or single snd sit at the counter and people watch.

Best burgers in Nashville hands down. Great service. Super fast and friendly. But the wait can be a bit much at times because it's a lunch only spot, the line can be extensive. Other than that. Worth it.

Great

First visit and loved the local dive vibe of the joint. A line out to the parking lot quickly formed after we arrived. We were underwhelmed with the staff, not very friendly and a bit snobby to a couple of out-of-town people who happened by. The burgers were cooked as asked but not to perfection: no char on the outside. The meat was tasty, grass fed beef and the fries were fresh cut deep fried with a slightly sweet seasoning. Would have been nice to know that sweet potato fries were an option. There's a secret menu on the shelf: Apparently it's a thing to not look like a newbie and ask for something off that menu. Would recommend stopping by if there is not a line and you've been there before.

My wife and I took a trip to Nashville a few months ago. I looked up best restaurants and sure enough this was one of them. It definitely lived up to the hype! The burgers, fries, and shakes we had were to die for! It can get expensive quick, just be ready to spend more than normal. But you're probably on vacation so just go with it and enjoy it!

When we visited Nashville, Gabby's was always our favorite burger joint. Now that we live in Nashville, it's our staple burger joint and it should be a Nashville staple!
Reasonably priced grass-fed beef

Amazing fries

Try the Tipper Dog with everything but lettuce!

Just tried this place for the first time today. We googled burger places near by and saw the ratings were good so we thought we would give it a try. This place blew our minds! It is amazing!

I love Gabby's so much, I don't always have the opportunity to eat there as they're mostly open for lunch, but I highly recommend them, yum! I especially like the black bean burger, the sweet potato fries and their honey mustard sauce, yum again!!

Terrific local burgers. It's a great quality meat, so it's spendy but worth it. The fries are chopped right there from potatoes and are certainly worth a try. The place is small with only a few tables and a counter. Think about getting stuff to go whenever possible or plan on waiting a few minutes. The servers check in frequently to grab refills and such. Good people.

First time I ve ever ordered Gabby s and I got it to go. Friendly service over the phone and there s a separate line for pickup orders, which is awesome because the line for ordering can be really long! Fries were fresh and crispy and the burger was one of the best I ve had in town. The only thing that gives other burger joints a leg up is the ambience in the restaurant. I d recommend ! Great local business.

Seriously, what is the obsession with this place? I ate one bite of the worst burger I have ever had in my life and threw the rest away. The fries were burned. The burger was completely bland and tasteless. Wake up, Nashville! There are so many great places to get burgers. Please don't waste your time with this one.

If you want the best burger in Nashville and want to go where the locals go for lunch, then go to Gabby's! Sure, today is National Cheeseburger Day, but you don't need an excuse to enjoy handcrafted burgers! Don't forget the fries and handmade milkshakes!
A cool thing about Gabby's is that you'll see laborers, blue collar workers, men in ties, attorneys, judges, doctors, and maybe the occasional celebrity all eating together in the little piece of hamburger heaven called Gabby's.
Today was the Mariota Burger with its Hawaiian flair, named after Tennessee Titan QB Marcus Mariota. It was my first Mariota Burger, but is now my favorite on their menu. It is a September special, but could easily dominate the menu year-round.

Food is about perfect. Hours and temperature of the place not. It's one of the few places I think actually has a veggie burger worth getting as most restaurants simply phone in whatever they're attempting to pass off to appease "that vegetarian with the group"

I wasn't a fan of the fries the last time I was there, I can't remember what the deal was but there was something that stood out. Nothing major. They'd been fine before.

Overall, if it's open, go to Gabby's. If it's not, pine for it outside.

Unique but also an iconic burger joint! Their daytime-only hours are refreshing in this 24/7 world, & we finally got here in time. And now that I've been here, I'll break neck to come back! The burgers, fries, & shakes are SO fresh & delicious, served up quick to-order with the cheese & toppings of your choosing. The joint is so warm & welcoming, highlighted by happy, congenial staff working the grills & fryers behind the counter -- their banter & teamwork alone are worth experiencing! Counter, booth, & table seating are cozy, with family references & notable folks' photos surrounding the interior. It's an experience, & in one visit, you're part of the family! Go!
