I was trying to get some help to find a place for me and my daughter. These ppl wouldn't help me bc I found somewhere for me and my baby to stay and then these ppl say they can't help me!!!What kind of place does this when ur struggling and u have ur baby with you??
So far so good. I called because my 19yr old son was suicidal and depressed and refusing any help. To the woman claiming she wasn't helped because of her race..we are white and got help without an issue.
I'm a fire victim and had nothing first time called them sent a person out same day very very helpful by 3rd day paid my deposit for me and my family and they are very nice
"MCT works closely with adults and children who are experiencing a crisis or simply need to talk." Taken from website. I called stating I was in an emotional crisis and having a PTSD trigger that was going to be hard to explain because it goes back so far. Was asked "what can I do for you". I said you can listen as I talk. Verbalizing and showing my raw feelings to a safe compassionate person can help ease a crisis. I was frankly told by Roxanne that I was not in a crisis and to call the warm line. The warm line has been 99.9% unhelpful to me so that was not an option. Plus I actually was in a crisis. She said the hotline is only for people who are in a suicidal crisis. She asked about three times what she could do for me as I repeatedly told her the same answer. She said that's not her job. I told her if she doesn't want to do her job to simply tell me and I will hang up and possibly find someone else. She interrupted me mid sentence and I had to tell her to wait until I'm finished to speak. Completely unprofessional and frustrating especially when in crisis. Not sure what kind of mental health professionals work here. I've had volunteers with minimal training and other mhp's elsewhere do much better making it a point to see people through a hot crisis to a cooled down state of mind before ending. After 15 minutes with 5 minutes on hold and 5 minutes simply try to get her to listen she said my time was up lol. Probably good if you're 100% ready to kill yourself because they'll get you to a hospital, if not good luck with getting them to listen and have compassion act like they truly care about you. Seems to be luck of the draw. They also labeled and treated me with stigma. Very reluctant to call again if I'm ever in crisis. I don't need 'professionals' making me feel even worse. I can do bad all by myself and with the asinine people out here in the world.
Frontline has some issues of staffing and turnover but overall they are a lifesaver to some of those in serious need of assistance. Many are grateful for what they do without much recognition.
This place is for mental health
Helps people with a Shrink, meds, nurse, counselor's an so much more. If you or you know someone who needs mental health services. Go there
God will deal with people who do things the wrong way its not our place to criticize for god says in the bible(vengence is mine i will repay)
I think the workers need more help than anyone! LOL!
Fairly sure they only help "certain" people if you catch my drift. To them, if it's white, it ain't right. Several workers commented several times about me "having no income" at that time. I am also fairly sure I was supposed to pay people there, in order to receive help, off the radar.
They stole all of my mail and Obama phone too. Real scum working here. Bitter, condescending and nasty attitudes run amok. In fact, I've not known one person to be helped here, in any regard. It is more depressing, attempting to get help from these people.
There is generally a lot of assistance in Cleveland for those of us experiencing homelessness, however it is extremely disjointed and more who you know, on getting any help. This place, and all of them in general are useless. You are going to have to figure it out yourself, if you can.
Like I said, I got the feeling, because it was mentioned repeatedly, referring to money in many different scenarios, and me not having it then. The sole reason cited as me not being helped by any person I interacted with.
People can draw their own conclusions. I certainly have made my own.
This place is designed to fail. We went thru this dirty, unsanitary, crowded, depressing place. We sleep on a gym floor for 3 weeks freezing, because it was extremely drafty, to get up in the morning to walk to another building. My family and I went thru this experience for nothing 12/2017 homeless, 2/2018 housed, 10/2018 homeless. There are programs that can really help that are not offered. My case manager passed assumed information to her supervisor which lead to us being homeless....after the supervisor was aware of the incorrect information she was given she didn't correct their hands. They need to be investigated. Food is trash!food poisoning if high in that facility.
Great agency and full service Dr., Therapist and Case Management also pharmacy. Client since 2010. Very pleased
One of the WORST social management organizations to ever exist...COMPLETELY HORRIBLE!
I called to inquire about services offered, I was referred by the Cuyahoga county domestic violence hotline, having recently lost almost everything I had and moving in with a family member who is also abusive. I was told "when you become homeless", then I would qualify for services. I just hope and pray they are truly helping those who are less fortunate than I.
This Place has the right programs, just the wrong ppl working to help[ ppl.my case worker never show up for appointments, he was rude, hateful to me at all times. when he made sexual advances at me and other females, he blame it on my mental illness.. he was never fired..
