Stumbled on this place whilst out walking.
I don't know whether it was the incredible good weather, but this is a chocolate box pub, with a lovely garden.

Staff were friendly but beer was a bit expensive imo. That didn't seem to put people off, as on a sunny August bank holiday by 1230 it was very busy, mostly with well off retired people.

They were running a BBQ which whilst had lots of salad and condiments to help yourself to, the actual meat provided looked very small and underwhelming. One of those events where everything was costed very closely, rather than plenty for all.

Utterly perfect spot on a sunny day in the pub garden for a drink, if you can dodge the crowds.

Friendly pub in a peaceful country setting. Small tea room serves good quality light food; we had toasted sandwiches and paninis. There is not much space inside but has a large garden so suited more for warmer dry weather. Reasonable amount of parking space but was full when we visited so I parked on the road.

Had lovely hot chocolates with marshmallows outside. Wonderful system set up for socially distanced ordering and collecting of orders. We say outside which was partly wind protected by the side awning material. I think some patio heaters would be an awesome addition to the outside seating now it's getting chillier :)

Brilliant little pub just outside of Faygate. Proper old free house that serves afternoon tea, ploughman s and themed food nights with a beer by a fire ... love that they use locally sourced produce!!

Beautiful cosy place. Warm log fire burning, lovely ambience.
Food delicious. You know when a place is good when it's in the middle of nowhere and people are waiting for the doors to open. Well.worth a visit.

We found this pub on Google whilst looking for somewhere in the area that did afternoon tea. A great find. We had 2 dogs with us and this place was perfect as it is dog friendly and does lovely tea and cakes. Haven't tried it as a pub but the bar area seemed to have a lovely cosy feel and was exceptionally clean

Good beer, always a good crack. Interesting food trucks most Fridays, especially the Vietnamese and Thai. Regular music nights and the odd car or tractor show.

Great view from the garden too, really nice at dusk.

Closed for 4 years between 2012 and 2016 after the previous landlady passed away, this pub was a sad loss for the local community. Since moving to Horsham in 1995, it had been a regular stop-off for me after a round-robin bike ride from Horsham, up to Rusper and back via Wilmand Lane (with the exciting final steep descent to the pub being the highlight). But refurbished, reinvigorated and reopened by the new owners in 2016, the Frog and Nightgown retains much of the 'front-room' charm of the original pub, while providing comfortable surroundings, gardens, good beer choices and an unambitious, but functional food menu. The first time I went into the pub in 1995 I apologised to the landlady seated on her sofa, as I thought I had inadvertantly entered her front room, rather than the bar. A couple of uncomfortable metal chairs and tables out front was the beer garden. More often than not on my visits I would be the only customer there. Not so any more. I think the absence of the pub for 4 years has made everyone who visited before realise what a treasured asset they had lost and they are determined not to lose it again. Regular special events have drawn a wider clientele. The Tea Rooms have widened the appeal even more. Now on a sunny warm summer evening, it can get quite busy here, so much so that I have once or twice cycled right past the pub by on my ride rather than face the struggle to get to the bar for a drink and find a free table in the garden. For those looking for a gourmet menu (currently it is ploughmans, toasties, pork pie or scotch egg), or an oak beams and thatch country pub, or pub-chain style decor and layout, then pass on by. What you get here is a much more idiosyncratic offer, nothing like as eccentric as it was before, but still unique. Make the most of it while you can though, because Liberty Property Trust now have planning permission to build 2,750 new homes in the land very near by, which will likely alter the country setting of the pub beyond repair.

Not the easiest place to find but well worth a visit. Atmosphere is good and food is provided by street vendors that visit certain days of the week. The food is good. Just been to their fireworks display. Very good.

Warm and cosy little pub/tea room on the outskirts of Horsham. The couple who manage it are kind and knowledgeable about the local attractions and history. They generally have a good selection of local beers on tap, the tea room is darling, and the pub is cute as a button with all the frog decor. A very comfortable place to speak to locals or sit and read a book by the fire and watch the rain from the window.
