Frog and Firkin Review

One of my favorites. Came here over the holidays and it's still great. Love the frog bites.

I may or may have had some explosive diedie from something I ate at this place or from something earlier in the day.

A classic college and faculty hangout. Very good pub fair and excellent service

I went there with a large group for a birthday on a Friday night- we expected it to take a while to be seated (90 minutes) which was fine. Once we were seated, it took a half an hour to get our orders taken and another hour and a half for everyone's food to come out- of which there were up to 30 minute differences of when the first orders came out to the last person being served. Additionally, it took forever to get our checks and the way were forced to split up the payment was to divide the charges evenly. This meant that people who only ordered a side paid significantly more than what their meal actually cost because of higher priced meals being taken into account (ex. entire pizzas).
The service was very unorganized and the staff was unapologetic about the over 3 HOURS we spent there only having dinner. I love the food and they have a great location, however I now avoid this place whenever possible due to the service.

no waitress or bartender was at the bar or approched me for a while, and there wasent any coffee avalible after 20 minutes i left. probably better to go with party not alone.

Food is bland, not my style. Beer is the reason to go here.

Bad service. Ok food. They had live music this last Saturday when I was there but she was horrible. So bad, I was embarrassed for her.

You should try their pizza, it's delicious. It's a deep pan pizza and I loved it. However you need to be patient, the pizza will take 20 min to cook and the service is not the best here.

Great service, but the salad I had was average. Dressing had little zest, and everything else about it was ordinary - not bad, just ordinary. Again, that was countered by having exceptional service. I'd certainly go back next time we're in town to try something else on the menu.

Their Steak sandwich was delicious. A little tad of garlic. Yum

Staff runs Wild, saw someone in PJ's climbing on the bar , for as much as I'm paying to eat the food I would expect some level of pride or dignity.

Honestly, go anywhere else! The burger I had was overcooked and my beer was way over priced. I paid $7.50 for a 12oz can of beer, my mind was blown (not in a good way).

Get yourself a giamt slice and a cold Dragoon the standard.

Food is alright. Service is alright. Location is usually busy. All in all it's an alright place to dine, but nothing special in my book.

Delicious! We had the garlic aoili fries and roast beef sandwiches. Everything was amazing and the service was great! Lots of Beer on tap to try and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to catch the game! Don't miss this one if you're in Tucson!

Amazing as always! I haven't been in here in almost 15 yrs and it is still absolutely amazing! Staff is awesome, food is delicious, super clean and spacing is great. Good job!!

Awesome local place here on campus. You can get a deep dish slice and a drink while watching the game. Friendly, fast and an excellent place to meet friends out and start the evening. Highly recommend.

Been coming here for over 10 years. Love the service, the atmosphere, the owner is nice, the pizza is amazing, there beer selection is great. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of tvs to catch any game. Just love this place! My go to for pizza and black and tans.

A favorite location for quality Bar food. I love this place. Fast and courteous service. The bill was appropriate. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.

Perfect end to a wonderful Sunday with the family! Comfy as ever, delicious like always. Covid clean but still warm & friendly. Fur babies welcome & happy tail wagging everywhere. Can't go wrong with lots of great food choices & beers on tap.

Pizza was good but the smell of old spilled beer was bad

The pizza was the best its ever been. Great place to enjoy a slice of pizza, cider and the afternoon. *Back again and the food was excellent like always. Please don't allow the lack of service become the norm for my favorite place 20+ years running.

I waited an hour and haft for two shots and a slice a pizza if you're not a rich student I wouldn't wate your time here the staff made me feel so uncomfortable

Frog is Absolutely Tucson. Aside from the delicious frog bites, pizza, and Lady Di salads, ....Frog n Firkin is a family run business that takes great pride in being part of the community. They catered my wedding, they open their doors to school fundraisers, little leaguers, aspiring football studs, our professional soccer stars....but since their doors have closed due to the COVID...they have continued to put their best foot forward to support this community. Their food truck has been all over Tucson in parking lots, their family has been working tirelessly to deliver food to homes so people don't have to leave...Lastly I ordered lunch for a bunch of front line workers at TMC and the response was that it "was the best food we have had all week". Please support them during this time, they take the CDC rules very seriously as they have children of their own, and the UofA students are apart of their staff and second family. #goodfood, #community,#restaurants,#pizza,#beer,#socialdistancing,#patio,#inthistogether

A very good place to spend with friends ... and you are left with a very good taste in your mouth.

This is the best pizza in Tucson. Period. Period Period. I thought I should start there so that you can stop reading now and go eat there immediately if possible.

Also, vegetarians rejoice, they have excellent choices and a truly delicious pizza with pesto.

Ordered via grubhub over 20 min before final order time and they canceled it. Of course I have a raging migraine and just got into town from a 3 day drive. I ll never eat here again. Way to RUIN it for a local guide. I could think of some less than tasteful names to leave here but ya know what.. I ll leave it to the imagination. You SUCK!

The food, the beer selection, the people and the overall atmosphere is awesome!! And it's locally owned. A great place to have lunch, dinner, or a late night nightcap. I highly recommend going there.

Though mildly on the pricier side, the beer selection is superior as well as the outside bar experience. Where one can enjoy the warm winter sun and a cold brew.

One of my favorite places to eat in Tucson. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is super friendly and interactive. Great place to watch the game. The menu is unique and has great selection. Can get crowded at times but that's the only downside.

The food was magnificent. It is very loud, though and there were a lot of college kids, of course because of the location.

Great venue in the shadow of THE Uof A Main Gate. Sweet sports bar, great outside seating arra, and a newer Backroom that rocks. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The draught Barrio Blonde beer was good and cold, as is all varieties.

I always order the hen house pan pizza is good also and the servers are worth going just to drink and people watch.

Waited over an hour for dessert during a non-peak time, was not given an apology.

Manager had my car block in.....I have a Blue permanent Handicap Sign..........

Manager told me it was private parking, does not matter if you are Handicap or not.....DOES NOT MATTER!!! POOR UNDERSTAND OF WORKING WITH PUBLIC. OWNER HAVE BEEN CONTACT AS TO INCIDENT OO. CHEERS

Cool spot to hang out after the games, the service staff is great.

STUPID COLLEGE KIDS TRYING TO RUN A RESTAURANT. Seriously, went there with a group of colleagues. The waitress was in training (sweet girl, she did a great job), but her trainer and manager were both like 17. The food took forever to come out (and it was during lunch, and we were one of two groups there). The food was good, but ridiculously priced for what we got! One of my colleagues wasn't able to eat her burger because of the house sauce she was pressured to get.
The absolute WORST part of the whole experience, though: one of our colleagues had brought a lunch for various reasons (cost, personal dietary needs, etc.), and patiently waited until the rest got their orders (which, again took for.e.ver!) and then brought out their lunch. The 17-year old trainer forced the new waitress to come over and "take care of the situation". She did a stellar job of being democratic about it, but (as you would imagine from a restaurant run by college kids) they made up the reason. She said, "It's a health code violation to eat outside food." First - we weren't *IN* the restaurant, we were sitting outside in the patio. Second - what these people don't realize is that, as full-fledged adults, we know what the laws are and aren't (some of us even having been in food service), and we know that the only way outside food would be a health code violation is if it were brought in to the kitchen and opened.
My "offending" colleague was polite and put away their lunch, but it really made the rest of us feel bad, it embarrassed our friend, and it really just ruined our experience.
So - the food wasn't too bad, was only semi-expensive, but the workers were completely ludicrous! If this were run like an actual business, this experience wouldn't have happened. Even if a senior member of the management came out and said, "We're so sorry, but we have a policy that we can't allow outside food. Would you like a chance to order something from the menu?" or something like that, it would have been more acceptable. Don't LIE about the law, and treat us like we're stupid. I will never eat here again, and neither will my colleagues. (At least until someone over the age of 30 is at the helm).

Food was mediocre, when I tried to order a coke our waiter Jonny said their soda machine was down for the night at 8:30 on a Saturday...pretty much lied to my face to get me to order a beer to boost the check....then I saw other people drinking soda all around me pretty ridiculous to lie to customers...

Food was mediocre. Onion rings were burned and premium drinks were weak and expensive. Service was good. Not worth going back to, considering all options in the immediate vicinity.

They have vegan options and I love all the TVs . Wanted captions on the game :) They have vegan pizza and burgers. The pizza tasted great ! Really good crust !

Went here with my girlfriend for lunch on my birthday. The onion rings and the Sonoran Firkin is the best deep dish pizza I've had. So glad to have come here and enjoyed the ambiance. Also our server Alexis M was an amazing server and was super friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially people who are new to Tucson. If you love a good thick slice of pizza, a great environment, and wonderful service go to Frog & Firkin
