I have ordered a whole batch of pastries a couple times from here to bring to my weekly breakfast club at work. Everyone goes crazy over the breakfast croissants (ham and cheese is the top pick). I personally love the chocolate croissants and cream cheese danishes.

First visit I was very impressed with the quality of everything I tried which was quite a few things! Excellent croissants, eclairs, lemon pastries, and quiches as well as wonderful customer service. These people train their employees well and know how to deliver a consistently good experience for their guests. If you like french gourmet bakery items, look no further.

As a French in Houston, stopped here to feel back home. Was not disappointed! Sandwich tasted just like in Paris. The croissants with bacon and cheese are not typically French but also good. Will come back for the "galette des rois".

The best cake ever!!! I grew up eating the famous coffee crunch cake, and now my family enjoys it just the same! I love how the cake is so moist and fluffy with fresh crunchy bites of honeycomb. It never disappoints... hands down the best cake ever!

One of my favorite little, family-owned French bakeries in the Houston area! The quality of their food and deserts are consistently great and authentic. They have always completed any orders I've made with them on time and accurately. Plus, they have a little waiting area within the main lobby where anyone can sit down and enjoy their delicious selections! An amazing little place that deserves more business than it is currently getting!!

Simply the best! A family-owned and operated bakery that makes the best breads and sweet treats. From their cookies, croissants and cakes, you can't go wrong. My family has been coming here for our baked goods for over 30 years and have never been disappointed!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I come here about once every two weeks if not once a week. My food is always good and fresh. I get the full ham sand which on croissant and the mustard they use is so good! I ve been coming to this location for almost two years.

They had a location on memorial and that s when I discovered this place. I was about 13/14 and then they closed that location. Then about 9 years later I got a job in river oaks and started coming to this location religiously.

Always consistent and the bakery products delightful and wonderfully delicious. I have been a customer since the 70's and the quality can't be beat; from wedding cakes to cookies, and the customer service is excellent and staff most helpful. Best bakery in the County, maybe even in the State. Love this place!

I was so pleased to discover this lovely bakery in my 'hood! I like to grab an croissant from here when I'm making soup, they have the perfect level of chew without cutting the roof of your mouth. I have also enjoyed their quiche as well as their croissants. Everything has been wonderful so far and the owners are super friendly which is why French Gourmet Bakery, is as good as it gets.

Great food and service. I was a little disappointed that more than one slice of meat was not on the sandwich, but it was good nonetheless. The cake included in the lunch special was delicious, and the extra cookie we ordered was one of the best I have ever eaten.

FGB catered our infant grandson's welcome reception for approximately 45 family & friends. The food was delicious and generous potions for each item. Would definitely use their services again. Thanks for your professionalism and good service with exceptional food.

We went to this bakery because of the 4.4 stars. We bought baguettes and chocolate croissants, but when we compare this to other French bakeries in the area, I can say that it is too expensive and tasteless.

Incredible! The best croissants you're going to get in Houston, almost certainly. They appear to be very properly made, with good butter and a decent dough sheeter. Loads of layers, ultra soft, and incredibly tasty. Their chocolate croissants are even better when you're in the mood for a sweet twist to a French classic.

The place is clean, the staff is very nice, and I am eager to visit again when I'm in the area!

Stopped by here when I was passing down the road, I love going into new bakeries to see what they offer. I feel like they could offer more, I was a bit let down with the limited options. But I bought a loaf of French bread and it was so soft and crispy on the edges. Very good would recommend.

They have the best pastries, cakes, cookies, croissants, everything there is amazing. I got one of their carrot cakes for a friends birthday, and I will tell you this friend knows great carrot cake, she told me it was the best she has ever had. I got one of their slices of apple strudel, it was so delicious and just melts in your mouth. I would highly recommend this place for any desserts you want.

Good Day! I have been going to the"French Gourmet Bakery"ever since they once had a location on Memorial Drive in"Lantern Lane Center".This"Memorial" location served a lunch special daily as well as bakery goods. The lunch served was a delightful mix of varied choices. The bakery products for as long as I have been going seem to ALL have a "unidentified ingredient"...a "mystery ingredient"that has ALWAYS disagreed with my stomach. It is also available and included at the location on Westheimer in this locations bakery products.Every time I purchase a bakery item from cookies to cakes to pecan and cinnamon rolls/bread it is in everything waiting to upset my stomach! Whatever this"mystery ingredient"is that is being added to what appears to nearly everything I would strongly advise everyone to avoid this bakery and their made bakery items.I seldom have digestive issues but,"French Gourmet Bakery"every time I consume their bakery products my stomach is upset! It is CRAZY! There are so many fine bakery options and locations across Houston to obtain lovely bakery items, cakes, cookies, etc.that do NOT posses this"mystery ingredient"waiting to make you ill.Who wants to have a special occasion ruined and leave you with wondering...what happened...what made me feel this sickly? Another aspect of"French Gourmet Bakery"is how overpriced every item is to purchase! I made the mistake of getting "1-Eclair".It WAS $5.00!!! CRAZY!!! A "apple pie"is$24.95! I am a BIG lover of bakeries but,for safety and peace of mind as well as wanting children and the elderly healthy please avoid"French Gourmet Bakery"!

I love this place. It's so homey and has a very relaxed atmosphere!

Pros
- lunch special is awesome! You get a salad, half a sandwich, dessert, coffee or tea, and soup for $10!
- self serve station for drinks and utensils
- spacious seating
- offer a variety of baked goods (pie, cookies, sweet bread)
- service is quick and efficient

Cons
- parking lot is a bit small so it can get tough if it's busy that hour
- no servers so you won't get any attention from the staff. If you need something you need to get up yourself and ask for it
- pastries by itself can be a bit pricey

It's a pretty basic bakery. You won't find intricate desserts with fancy designs, but the down to earth ambience of the place makes it super comfy!

Undoubtedly the worst baguette we've ever had. Over-priced and devoid of any flavor whatsoever. Haven't tried anything else there so can only speak to the bread, but will opt for any other bakeries or even HEB before going back there for a "French baguette" again.
