Went in, trash literally everywhere. Said to myself, whatever that's fine I just want frozen yogurt. Pulled the yogurt lever and blue sticky liquid poured out all over my hands. Oh well, I thought, I can get a different flavor. Pulled another nozzle, cloudy liquid poured out with chunks in it.

Cool. Threw my cup away, left as quick as I could. Do not, EVER go here.

Fun frozen yogurt shop! It has a great assortment of froyo flavors and topping options. You pay based on the weight of your froyo creation. They do allow you to taste test the flavors before you commit to one. They also sell a variety of froyo cakes. The staff was friendly. They have plenty of seating inside.

Froyo in the Twin Cities. I haven't tried many here, but this is one of the few I've tried here in the cities.

Menchie's apparently originated from California, which I did not know, despite being a native Californian.. I guess I never ran across one when I lived there.

So I came here to treat my 2 good friends to Ice Cream/Izzy's after losing a bet while bowling. I wanted to take them to Izzy's, but unfortunately, they closed by the time we finished our bowling game. I ended up Yelping somewhere close by that was open and the only option was Menchie's.

Menchie's is very similar to Yoghurtland, which is quite popular in California, but not really seen out there. They have 10+ different yoghurt flavors and bunch of toppings like nuts, gummy bears, m&m, and more that you can add. You'll concoct what you want and then pay by weight. This place is a cheaper than Yogurt Lab, which is right next to the U of M. Yogurt Lab is so overpriced and I would not go back there again for Yogurt...

Anyhow, the options at Menchie's is pretty good and good topping options as well. It's a typical yogurt place that you would find in California. Pricing is cheaper than YogurtLab, but still more than what you pay in California. I don't quite remember how much it cost, but it was significantly less than Yogurt Lab. The yogurt was decent, though I'm not a big froyo fan. I'd choose ice cream or gelato over froyo anyday. Toppings were fresh, didn't taste stale at all.

If you're a Froyo fan, definitely come check this place out. I'd probably wouldn't come back since I'm not a huge Froyo fan, but if I had to choose a Froyo place to eat, I'd choose here.

Menchie's & Patience are amazing! We had Menchie's cater our wedding (in place of a wedding cake) and it was one of the biggest hits of our wedding!

From the very beginning our communication with Patience was easy and she was very responsive to all of our questions! We got to choose all of our flavors and toppings and were excited to get started.

Come our wedding day, everything was executed PERFECTLY! The Froyo bar was a hit with the guests, everythjng went smoothly and everything tasted fresh and DELICIOUS.

It was an affordable and fun alternative to the traditional cake! The service and working with Patience was so easy. You've made life-long customers out of us!!

Thanks!

I was in Menchie s tonight, 9/23, near close and unfortunately was getting froyo at the same time as the rudest customer I have ever seen in my life.

The two girls working that night handled it with class, respect, and professionalism despite the women s cussing, rude remarks, and her absolutely awful attitude.

Because of this experience I felt I had to make a review commending the staff on how they handled this terrible human being. Not only was their service great, the froyo was good, and the toppings were great.

We go here all the time but tried to go here around 9:35 tonight and they had closed early. It says they are open until 10 p.m. and we have been here after 9:30 multiple times, but when we walked in the employee said they were closed and had put away all the tables and chairs. It was disappointing as we drove 20 minutes to get there.

A few good flavors and toppings. Some redundancy (at least three flavors were some version of coffee). Only one sorbet option when I went, which in my opinion is half the reason to do froyo over ice cream, because soft serve sorbet with toppings is an amazing and unique fruity treat, whereas dairy ice cream comes in a million varieties at the grocery store with all kinds of goodies mixed in (although customizing it is a treat). Most of the toppings are geared for dairy or chocolate base rather than sorbet or fruit base (they do have one flavor of popping boba and nerds, but few fruit toppings and no mochi), which makes me think this place normally does not carry many fruity sorbet options. I did like the marshmallow and chocolate shell toppings on the banana and peanut butter froyo, and the white chocolate chip and health bar toppings. No dividers, which makes it difficult to take advantage of the flavor variety they have. Environment was oddly warm and sticky with weirdly loud music and garish decor (in line with the national branding). Staff was friendly enough. No parking, which may be an obstacle for some.

Really fun place to go. Menchie's has the right idea of letting you fill a bowl with your own selection of froyo and toppings, and then just selling by weight. The only downside to this location is that there is only on-street parking.

I went in today at around 6:00pm and for some strange reason the place was hot and the yogurt was melting when you'd churn the machine. I love 5 minutes away and by the time I got home the yogurt was completely melted.

I ve gone to various Fro yo shops across the Twin Cities and none of them compare to Menchie s. Their service is always friendly, and I love the variety you get as far as flavors go. I wish they opened one closer to where I live!
