Freericksburg National Military Park Review

The visitor center is nice ..but getting to the appropriate spot is another story

A perfect 2 hour self guided tour for a family with young children. The Park Ranger was so kind and listened to each of the children's answers. So much history in this area.

Beautiful and haunting. Nice program ran by parks. A place to use your imagination.

Good visitors display. The grounds are mostly a cemetery, but good views from the top of the hill. Good signage and explanations of the battlefield and time period.

Great museum, and again, the USNP people were excellent, helpful and friendly.

Great staff at a battlefield that sometimes gets overlooked when we think about the Civil War. If you're in the area come see all of it, but if you're pressed for time at least take a Ranger led walk to learn the story, and visit Chatham Manor. The Memorial Day Illumination of the National Cemetery is especially moving.

Very interesting to learn about, nice trail and movie. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is packed with history. This is where Stonewall Jackson passed away and went by train to Lexington to be buried.

Had a wonderful visit. The gardens are lovely and the house and displays a fabulous reminder of a by-gone era.

I stopped by Stonewall Jackson's death site. I saw the grave marker and the house in which he passed away from wounds in battle on top of pneumonia. The house was locked but I could look through the windows. It is about 4 miles from I 95. It was a nice brief break from the drive. It took about 10-15 minutes to see.
