We were out of state, so having someone who would coordinate with our Realtor and be available to followup later, was a tremendous help in lower the stress of buying a home.
Matthew at Freedom Home Services in Rock Hill, SC provided an unbelievably thorough home inspection. I think he spent about 6 hours in the house, documenting everything. Being 800 miles away, I was so pleased to have an easy to read inspection report with pictures (and a few videos!) Our realty agent recommended Matthew and I can see why. The added summary was an added bonus for us.
I do feel the report was very complete but since I was not able to attend because of the virus there are many questions that I would have asked that I was not able to. This was the result of the time not the company.
Having attended inspections before , questions come up as the inspector
explains things to you. I have used this company before and would use them again if a third move becomes necessary . You just don't get the same kind of information by not being there. Good job.

Freedom Home Services is ran by a failed builder turned Inspector. He is a bitter Inspector who enjoys scaring his customers he is inspecting for. He damaged my property at inspection and took no personal responsibility. His dishonesty on his reports and to his clients is not only unprofessional but reflective of who Matthew Query (the owner) is. At the end of the day when he damages people s property it only affects the buyer, his client. It s unfortunate there is inspectors out there like Matt but this serves as a warning to anyone considering hiring Freedom Home Services.
Edit: Matt has no proof of his acqusations but continues to lie about the situation. Matt does not care for his client or he would have fixed the damage he caused to their house through licensed remediation specialists. He has continually lied about agreeing to fix the situation and has made no effort to hire remediation specialists to fix the situation. It s unfortunate to have a business owner lie in the frequency Matt does.
I had Greg Hucko with Freedom Home Inspection do my pre-purchase condo inspection today before my closing in a couple of weeks. So easy to work with and very accommodating to our schedules. Was there on time and contacted me immediately while still on site to discuss the findings via video call. Greg is very thorough and knows home construction at a very high level. His recommendations were valid and appreciated, especially the suggestions for safety. His report was not exaggerated to justify his fee but fair and complete. I would completely recommend Greg and would use him in the future without question! Give him a call and you will not be disappointed.

I contacted Freedom Home Services on a Friday and had a thorough inspection done by Tuesday of the following week. I received information along the way but the bulk of the info came in the Inspection Report sent just a few hours after the inspector left. Everyone was incredibly professional, courteous and tolerant of our dogs and kids. We would absolutely recommend Freedom Home Services to anyone.
This company was fantastic. They brought in a whole team for the pool, house, crawl spaces, roof, etc... they were so thorough. I mean we found out so much valuable information. My wife and I recently purchased a home in the Waterside at the Catawba neighborhood in Fort Mill, and Matthew did an incredible job on our home inspection. We purchased the home later in the building process, so unfortunately he wasn't able to inspect pre-drywall; however, everything about his inspection was thorough and detail oriented. The crazy thing is you don't really expect there to be a lot of things found during an inspection on new construction; however, Matthew actually identified an engineering issue in some of our truss work in the attic space. I am so thankful we decided to get an inspection! Don't let the "new construction" throw you off - you should still get a home inspection, and Freedom Home services would be an excellent choice. If you are able to get him in pre-drywall to inspect that would be even better, but regardless of the timing I am positive that he will deliver a thorough, detailed, comprehensive inspection!! I would highly recommend Matthew and the team at Freedom Home Services to anyone purchasing a home.

Freedom home services is straight up amazing. My home inspector (Todd Hill) came out and thoroughly inspected my home. Gave me professional advice and was great gentleman. You can tell the quality of a company by the quality of their employees. They took it to another level and offered Zoom meeting to go over the findings while he was still on site to make things convenient for me. Everything was broken down so I can clearly understand it.
