He was good but I fill when is your first time meeting your ur doctor he should be more concerned n i didn't feel that. I'll try him again in two weeks.
Dr. Chen is terrific! I came to him with a broken wrist which healed well but which also created a nerve issue which required carpal tunnel surgery. Pre-surgery my hand was in agony, constant pain, tingling, numbness, etc. After the surgery, all that disappeared thanks to the gifted Dr. Chen! He has a wonderful bedside manner, answers all questions and explains everything thoroughly. The surgical center he uses was also great!
Dr. Chen has been my hand doctor, for worker's comp and regular patient. Always makes me feel better and very kind and listens to you.

Worst experience with any doctor I have ever had. I recently fractured the left and right radius in both of my forearm bones, the doctor sat with me for not even 5 minutes, and said take Tylenol for the pain. Really? I have two broken bones not a headache or something with minor pain. Most unprofessional experience in my life. Then I decided to go for a second opinion, so because of this Dr. Chen did not want to see me for a follow up appointment. Rather than cancel my appointment before I got there they made me come and then refused to see me. Very unprofessional! I wouldn t recommend this doctor to anyone!
Dr. Chen is thorough and makes you understand what is going on with your condition. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Chen is very thorough in his evaluation and providing information on next steps. He is very knowledgeable, willing to answer questions and explain surgical options. At the evaluation post-op, he showed the healing process and gave detailed steps for required exercises to stretch the tendon. I am very happy that he did my husband's surgery and am confident in his care.
Also the office staff and schedulers are very pleasant, friendly and efficient.

I am a patient of Dr Chen for approximately 7 yrs and 6/2020 was my second surgery by Dr Chen. Dr Chen explains everything thoroughly , very professional and has empathy. No complains at all from me thumbs up . Edison Metuchen Orthopedic have the best doctors! The staff is very pleasant and understanding always greeting you with a smile and making sure you have everything you need before leaving( scripts, work note, orders etc etc). Everything you need it s all in one location, office visit, surgical center and physical therapy. I will continue to treat with Dr Chen and with the other doctors at Edison Metuchen Orthopedic group and refer them to family and friends.
Dr. Chen and his staff are professional, courteous and friendly. Dr. Chen is willing to explain any procedure that is being done and answers all your questions. The surgery on my hand was completed with little or no discomfort and after just 16 days my hand feels remarkable better.

Dr Franklin Chen best surgeon ever I had accident back in July of last year and my right hand finger was completely disfigured and separated from the others and Dr Chen did Master Magic and repaired it , today I can say and recommend him to anyone trust him 110% and his Staff all very helpful and professional including Flo, and Erica Thank you all

Finding a new doctor during Covid a scary thought when pretty sure you need hand surgery and cannot read a doctor s face while he is wearing a mask. I struck gold. Dr. Chen and his nurse, Erica, were amazing, professional, made me feel comfortable and after only a few minutes of explanation and tons of my questions, surgery scheduled at their surgical-center. His staff, including Marlene, Erica, Gina, the office manager, who returned calls immediately and all at the surgi-center work together as a team to make a frightening time bearable. I give them five stars without hesitation and recommend them highly. And to all reading this, good luck and stay well.
Dr. Chen is always very pleasant and understanding Tries his best to address the issue without putting me through anything unnecessary. very knowledgeable in his field of expertise. I have always had a very good experience with him and I am seeing him for many years now. Kudos also to his staff who are always very professional as well as very nice.
