On 11.24.20, one of your technicians, Tom, performed the annual service of our building's emergency and exit lighting. He did an outstanding job. He was very cordial and professional. He explained to me how the devices work and how the test was done. I was able to see the work being done. In the past we used other companies and we were not satisfied with their job. This time we decided to use Fox Valley. We have used your company this year in different projects and we are very happy with all the services. Tom was extraordinary. Hours of service for this place are alway unknown, showed up at 2:10 to get 2 extinguishers serviced and supposedly they close at 2PM for service, what kind of reputable business just closes in the middle of the day.
Buyer Beware - My bad experience with this company had to do with communication and cancellation due to house sale. They use a sister company to do the monitoring. But the companies do not work very well together in my opinion. Once I sold My house, I call Fox Valley who told me I had to call the "Sister" company. Then the Monitoring service company said I had to send them an email. Once I did that, nothing happened for weeks till I followed up with them. Then they had to contact Fox Valley to get the cancellation done. Very unprofessional. My second complaint has to do with their cancellation policy. When you sign up for their service, you are agreeing for a 3 year contract. If you cancel early, you will owe the balance of the three years. I know I signed the agreement. Just be aware that you could end up paying them for many months of monitoring service that you are not using. I would not recommend this company.
Update: It is now 4 months since I cancelled their service due to the house sale. We keep getting calls weekly from the monitoring service (this supposed "sister company) that the system auto test is not working. We explain each time that we no longer own this house and that the house is monitored by another company. We also tell them they need to contact their "sister" company to delete this address off the account. Excuses galore, but no one has done anything about it. The absentee owner's name of this property is Zhang Yu Jenny Zhang
Businesses BEWARE!! Do not use this company. They will lie on the inspections so they can overcharge for things you do not need. They will then submit a report to the fire department with multiple violations that aren't even true so then can then force you into getting them fixed since the fire department goes off of these reports. STAY AWAY unless you want months of headaches
Update: in response to Deb. Deb, this isn't the case with this company. Fox Valley Fire and Safety likes to state that there are violations or that something is wrong when it actually isn't. I've had 3 other companies after Fox Valley and 80% of the things marked by your company as "violations" were unfounded.
I am the assistant Chief Engineer at a hotel in Elk Grove. I wanted to pass along a big thank you to Sean and Mike. We had some major issues with our fire sprinkler system during that really bad cold, here at the hotel and these guys really went above and beyond to resolve our issues in a quick and very professional manner. We are very thankful for all their helped and the way they handled everything. Being in the Hospitality business and knowing that 80% of the time you are only hearing bad news, I really wanted you to know they are representing Fox Valley in a great way.
I ve been a customer for 6 years. I have an on-going list of times when they have either never responded to me, or I had to call them back 1-2 more times to get a response to a question. I ve lost count of how many times this has occurred. I can t believe they are this unprofessional. I m locked into a contract with their equipment so I m stuck.
I previously worked for another village for 18 years and we used you there for everything when I was there. When I got here in Carol Stream we were using a competitor of yours and they simply weren't reliable. I am so happy to have you folks here now as you have always been on time, reasonably price and responsive! Happy as heck to get you guys out to Carol Stream!!!!!! Thank you for everything!
We would like to share our experiences here for your future reference. We called this company because we used to use their service and products before but me and my assistant had terribly poor service. The scheduler and sales assistant staffs were very unprofessional and wasted our time for two days consecutively. They irresponsibly messed up with our service appointments and no confirmation calls and called wrong number and accused us like we provided our info incorrectly. They have a good quality products however they really need a better staff training and improve the customer services and relations. We decided to use a different company this time. Hope this info helps you to save time.
What a bunch of crooks! They quoted me $240 for a job and charged me $610. The tech was on site for less than half an hour, and on the job ticket they billed me for 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Sadly, we had to use them because building management insisted. If you have another company you can use instead, I strongly urge you to do so.
