Call about the food pantry before going there. I was told by a lady there are walk in between 9-11am but they also go by appointment and stated I can walk in this morning 1/7/2020. I get there and the young lady at the pantry desk was saying I needed an appointment. I stated I called a few minutes ago and was told to walk ins are ok. I stated I came because I had no food in my house. I have no openings today but I can schedule for another day she said without making eye contact. I work the rest of the week I said. No response or anything!!! Very rude!!

Beautiful church building, excellent concerts every Friday at 12:10pm, but if you're looking for solid biblical teaching, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. This location is surely a great tourist spot, though, so i definitely recommend stopping by. They have artwork all the way down the halls and take very good care of their church building.

It's not exactly a church, it's the offices of the archdiocese. No longer a school here either. However, the chapel still functional and open Saturday mornings to the public, with what must be the most beautiful stained glass in the midwest. The acoustics here are incredible too. Saw an a capella sacred music group here and it was ethereal.

Not only is a lovely church to look at and be in, but the surrounding complex they attached to it gives you all the modern convieniences. Bathrooms, meeting rooms, a chapel, a seminary, and this too is lovingly designed, though n a modern style. Be sure to catch the model of the place up on the second floor of the sweeping staircase. Bathrooms on first and second floor with an elevator in between. If near the model, peek out the window. On a good day, or night, you will see the lights at the very tip top of the old John Hancock building (875 N. Michigan Ave.). For those with an EV Tesla or like me, a Leaf, free charging is available at the 900 N. Michigan parking building. Free for rhe first 4 hours. Of course, the rates are up there. In 2020 it was $27 for the first hour and I got out of there with a $37 bill. But it was nice to park close by and get charged up for the long ride home.

It is a nice church in the heart of Chicago... It looks old but beautiful... There is a garden beside it that contains a water fountain... It is peaceful inside... I think some shots of the movie runaway bride of Julia Roberts were taken there... It is something to be seen in Chicago

As someone who isn't very religious this is one of my favorite churches in the city. I always get a sense of peace when I walk in and the architecture is a wonder. My favorite time of year to go is for the annual concert Andrew Bird hosts here around Christmastime. The acoustics for his concert was amazing. The decor for the event was stunning. I had the most wonderful time attending the show. If I ever need a place to duck in and take a break from the bustle of Michigan Ave. I always think of the church.
