Many choices far bigger range then other grocery stores

The place is not managed well.... Specials are never in stock when you walk 3 km and nothing is there on a Monday..... Not cool

Large selection of products, that are largely overpriced

I've always like Fortinos, but I have to say I was shocked when I went in yesterday as I was passing through Hamilton toward Guelph, where I live. I stopped in to buy some liver (beef for my cat, and calf liver for myself). I was stunned to find out that the calf liver was $17.61 per kg! The beef liver was in the normal price range, so to be honest, I didn't even check the price of the calf liver and didn't notice the unbelievable difference till I checked out.
I still had a package of calf liver in my freezer that I bought in late March from Longos and it was 9.90 per kg. I've always thought of Fortinos and Longos as very similar, very good stores, but that's a HUGE difference in price in just 8 weeks! Lesson learned: always read the prices and don't assume you're not being gouged on some items.

I work here so my review may be a little biased. Really interesting selection of produce and desserts. Awesome beauty section and healthy lifestyle choices. Friendly staff (including myself), great location with great selection of beer, a bakery, meat and seafood department and is one of the few locations to reload Presto card.

Not the best Fortinos but still a good place to visit to buy groceries

Love how clean it is.
I generally don't visit often because it's a bit out of the way.
It always has this regal vibe to it.
I generally shop at Nations most of trying because it's the closest and I like trying all the different things you can't find at most markets.

But when I'm looking for high quality items I will go to fortinos.
Also the staff are just super friendly and just seem happy and happy to help in general.
You are treated as a priority,which is a nice change.
You pay more when you go there,not only for the fresher ingredients but also for the experience in general .

Great open space to walk around, Seafood looks fresh most times. Prices are a little on the high side. Love the flower shop and choices. Great job guys!

Small Fortinos and doesn't have a Pene Fresco section yet. The parking lot is frustrating as well but I suppose that isn't their fault.

Great in-stock positions and vast variety in product! Always happy to shop at this location.

Large grocery store with extensive product lines from fruit and vegetables to canned goods frozen food dairy and meat.

Love the store, the large organic and natural food sections and the staff... Do NOT love the self check out and lack of cashiers. I won't try that check out option next time.

Fabulous selection of international cuisine and all time favourites. Exceptional customer service is always appreciated.

Old store, not the ultimate selection, but all the essentials are here. Deli is tiny. No Pane Fresco or other frills. Good for a quick grocery trip.

Very clean, well organized, plenty of polite pleasant staff.
