Can't get a hold of nobody on the phone. The Phone number provided on the internet is worthless as a disabled veteran this is unacceptable. Unless you show in person and complain to director or person in charge of the hospital they don't care.

I tried to get in due to a respiratory illness. A Nurse informed me they wouldn't prescribe an antibiotic because they don't know whether its a virus or bacteria and the CDC recommends not using antibiotics. I offered to take my temperature but she didn't have time. Had she waited, I could have told her it was 97.7, indicating an infection, but it wouldn't have mattered any way. They are the most worthless organization on the planet. If you are considering military service, consider this: if you are injured and require medical treatment after you are discharged for a service connected injury, you have nearly 100% guarantee they won't help you for some reason; and a bureaucracy can be very inventive about restricting treatment. It leaves no one in specific to blame. My recommendation is to not volunteer you self for a country that couldn't care less after you have been used up.

I went to this clinic for the first time today. The young lady, Crystal, at the front desk was very helpful and polite and professional. She directed me back to the Omni center to schedule an appointment and the lady there was also very nice and and helpful and walked me through the process of getting registered. Then she gave me directions on where to go to next, which was the lab, and by the time I walked over to the lab they had my information, and were expecting me. I took a number and walked to the front desk there at the lab, and the lady behind the desk was very nice and polite and told me it would be probably an hour before my number was called. There were probably 30 other people in line ahead of me but the wait was only about 45 minutes, and I believe one of the ladies I spoke with said that Tuesday is their busiest day in the lab. They said my doctor appointment would be in about three hours so I went home for little while. The facility is very brightly lit with approximately 100 or so handicap parking spots up front, more than I have ever seen anywhere else, and it is very clean.
They have lots of handicapped friendly restrooms on both floors there are two floors. There is also a nice little restaurant in the middle of the building on the first floor that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and snacks can be found in a couple of different smaller stores in different parts of the building, where they also sell souvenirs and ball caps and things like that.

It s a mixed bag in terms of quality of service. Some medical services are impressive while others are dreadful. Appointment scheduling is absolutely archaic and no one ever answers the phone.

ALMOST 2 MONTH WAIT TO SEE A DR HERE!
Called to make an appointment. I was given an appt, but apparently it was for 2 months away(I didn't realize it at that time since she just gave me the day of my appt and not the month.) After about 10 days I called back to see if there was one sooner as I was in a great deal of pain, the appt lady over the phone was very rude and very unhelpful but thats when I found out my appt was actually still over 40 days away. I tried calling a third time later in the day and spoke with someone different but this time to ask how I would go about getting treatment at a "civilian" facility and was told I couldn't since my appointment wasn't more then 30 days out. (She also thought my appt was for a certain day for the current month we were in) I guess she didn't realize the appointment I was given was actually 56 days out. I just couldn't deal with them anymore I just said thank you and hung up. I work in a health care environment, if the 2nd lady I spoke with was an employee with my company she would have gotten in trouble for her rudeness and attitude. . THIS FACILITY IS HORRIBLE FOR APPOINTMENTS!

I had been to the old Fort Worth VA back in 2010 b...

I had been to the old Fort Worth VA back in 2010 but this was my first time at this location. I went for a C&P Appointment. I had a brand new Doctor who was going through training and under supervision. As soon as this Doctor saw me she looked me up and down and gave me a dirty look (I'm assuming because I was white male). Once she learned of my occupation the whole meeting changed and she seemed irritated and frustrated with me. In the end the C&P was useless because my claim was denied based on evidence, the C&P Doctor apparently never put any information in for my appointment. Not only was it a waste of time since I had to drive an hour and a half here but the racism and unprofessional attitude this doctor showed was sickening.

Asked to get my Veteran's ID card 2 times, 1st time they told me to wait 2 weeks but nothing came in the mail, 2nd time they said that they lost all my info so I had to redo the entire process and then told me it should come by mail in a week..... its been a month now with still nothing.

All I can say is the women's clinic in this VA is a disgrace. I have never been treated so poorly by any practicing physician as I have here. From being told my ailments are fabricated or if I have the flu it's not really flu it's stress...to flat out saying she (the dr) doesn't have time for me to go do the labs I was never directed to do in the first place...and even if I did them she isn't going to make time to read them because she thinks my stomach flu is stress... or my favorite, when I said I was there because I was physically sick and had to miss almost a week of work and her response being "oh hunny I'm sick too"...like some passive aggressive comment about the validity of me being there in the first place??? The VA is supposed to strive to provide excellent healthcare to all veterans and their families... if this clinic wants to do that maybe they should employ some people who actually want to be there doing that work, instead of the circus dibacle I witnessed today

Every time the eye doctor gives me an appointment the clinic calls and cancels it. This time they have moved it from June to OCTOBER!!! How am I suppose to keep my eyes "healthy" when I can't even see the doctor ...WHO, by the way, is the person who HAS to write me a new prescription for me to get new/updated glasses. I can not remember the last time I got new glasses, or a new prescription from the VA. I have to say these folks are useless. I am just going to set an appointment with a civilian doctor and finally get the kind of "care" I SHOULD BE GETTING through the VA. I bet they won't call and move my appointment 4 months REGULARLY like the VA Clinic Fort Worth does!!! SHAME!!!

This location is by far the best VA experience I have had. Every time I come here the staff, doctors, and pharmacists are always very helpful and have very good attitudes. Although smaller, this location has a barbershop, store, and cafe with good food.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. 2 months to get an appointment. Today I was sent home from work due to being very sick. I called them 4 times trying to get in to be seen today and I was told a nurse would call me to give me home care instructions and possible a prescription. It's 5pm and still no call back. The VA healthcare system is a joke and seriously needs to improve. The blood, sweat and tears we put into our service, you would think we deserve better care. Really disappointing.

If you need labs done, be prepared for a 3 hr wait. It's absurd. A lot of the doctors have absolutely no people skills and they don't really care if they fix the issue or not. I switched doctors because my last one literally told me I was making up being dizzy. I had vertigo for 4 months and couldn't even walk straight when she saw me. She told me to sit upright and quit being a baby. No joke. My new doctor is ok, but I don't have time to sit and wait for labs, so I haven't gotten anywhere with diagnosing a current issue.

The wait time is ridiculous they need a separate area for walk-ins of the regular doctor can't see them in a timely mannor it's been over 4 hours of waiting just to get a note from my doctor for my flu symptoms

Honestly the staffing is 50/50 as far a customer service. Ive been going to the Dallas VA for 8 years and I can count on one hand the amount of bad customer service I have receive. I have only been going to the FTW VA for 6 months and I have lost count of how many time the service was poor. FTW does have some great DR. I have to say but its that 50% that makes the difference in customer service.

My appointments are always way past my appt time even if i check in 30 minutes prior. My appt was at 9am... its 9:35 and the lady just told me we are waiting for the doctor to put in the order for the injection then they gotta go get it and come back... that should have been at 830 when i checked in -.- this happens everytime.
I call to get assistance and never get calls back. I call again and then they said they will leave a message for the doctor and i never get a call back. They cancel appts without notifying you. It is horrible. I have things to do and an injection take 3 seconds -.-

Even though I get free "healthcare" from the VA, I still pay for insurance and NEVER go here because it is a total waste of time. They don't care about you and barely speak English. God help you if your having mental health issues. These people should be prosecuted as frauds.

Tried to see a counselor this morning, was told they paged a guy and didnt know where the crisis help guy was. Every 10 min or so a lady would tell me they paged him but couldnt find him. I left after 30 minutes. Tired of asking for help just to he told stand by

Where to start 2 years ago I went to see my doctor if you want to call him that. I call him doctor, useless. With my right shoulder and severe pain. I could not sleep on my right side, it was so bad. So the doctor gives me anti inflammatory medication. I had to try this for 6 months. Well I tried it and it didn't work of course. So after waiting for nearly another 3 months to get back in to see the doctor. He says he's going to schedule me for physical therapy. Now that took roughly another 3 or 4 months to get in to see the physical therapists. After several visits that didn't work. So Dr useless decides to schedule me for an MRI. Well, after waiting for nearly another 6 months to get the MRI. I got the MRI last Friday. I was told today by the doctor that I have a torn rotator cuff. And now he's going to refer me to an orthopedic surgeon which will probably take another 6 months. Keep in mind folks it is the VA.
So here's another little story about Dr. Useless. I went in last January to see him with a chronic cough. Being a great doctor that he is he gave me allergy medicine. Well the chronic cough continued so in February I went back in to see him. He must've felt he had not done enough so he gave me cough medicine and nasal spray. Well on a Monday morning at 3 a.m. In the month of April I woke up coughing up blood. Had to go to the emergency room were turned out that I had an upper respiratory infection. So I spent the weekend in a good hospital on antibiotics and several tests got the infection cleared up. The pulmonary specialist at the hospital being an actual good doctor told me that if dr. Useless would have possibly taking an xray in January he could have caught the infection prior to getting as bad as it did. And to top things off the VA does not want to pay my hospital bills. Oh I'm hoping now as I can get another doctor but I'm not sure they may all be the same VA Medical system.

I can truly say that I have not found one doctor that truly cares in this facility. My first doctor named Pennaconda or however you spelled it disregarded everything and never provided the care I needed as a patient so I switched.

Now I have another PCP and I ve only met her twice within 1-2 years. During one of the visits she provided the results of my x-ray that were requested by my previous doctor. Did I mention, he never provided the results of that x-ray? I have provided plenty of urine and blood samples for appointments and no one ever calls me back with results.

I found out that my vitamin d was extremely low at a mental health appointment AFTER ANOTHER doctor told me to just get over my trauma and move on. These people have no empathy & they fluff the notes to whatever s convenient for them while the veterans suffer in silence.

They also schedule appointments without confirming the date and time with the patients like we can just drop everything. I am so frustrated right now!!! Constant headaches, knee/back pain, and I never sleep. I have been saying this for years & it means nothing to these people.

Can't get through to set up any appointments, and when I do get a live person on the phone, they quickly transfer me to another line. No customer service what so ever! Assisting someone over the phone isn't that hard. Tired of the VA hiring nothing but rude people!

Visited the FW VA this morning for the first time ...

Visited the FW VA this morning for the first time and was very impressed by the facility and staff. I arrived in the parking lot at 8:20am today (Tuesday) and was walking back to my truck at 8:45am !!! Can't get that kind of service at any private Doctor's office or clinic.

It's impossible to make an appointment over the phone. They just hung up on me when I was trying to make an appointment or the phone just rings and no body answers. Now I gotta drive out of my way to go up there and make an appointment in person. Absolutely ridiculous!

Doctor's here don't seem to care enough to look into your concerns half the time, I had to go see a completely different doctor for them to confirm I have anxiety and PTSD, I have since moved to Colorado and the difference in care is like night and day, I have yet to have a positive experience in anyway at this VA. The Las Vegas VA is also 10 times better than this location.

Have been seen for two years and given a clean bill of health, However on 5/13/2017 about noon SUffered congestive heart failure and a fib in two leads not good. Take to JPS Hospital FOrt Worth, and was saved.

Beware if you have an eye appointment here! Don t be surprise if it got canceled then when you show up & then this RUDE, LOUD & LYING lady yells at the front desk that she called you to tell you that it was canceled BUT there is NO voicemail OR phone # received on your iPhone. But THANKFULLY SOMEONE ELSE helps you. Although everyone else is pleasant & help; that RUDE lady is still there, but now she does your check out & follow up appointments.....you know it wouldn t hurt to have better customer service attitude. We re patients with medical problems that hurt, cause frustration, irritation & whatever we have to do to have a better quality of life.

Went in two different days. One spent hours waiting to give blood. The second waiting hours to see a doctor because they messed up and didn't get me checked in when they said "I got you checked in." After waiting hours for the doctor time ran out and I had to leave. I won't go back.

THE ONLY EXCEPTION WAS THE DIETICIAN, BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I ARE VETS AND AFTER HIS APPOINTMENT AND BEFORE MY MAMMOGRAM WE SINGED UP TO SEE HER. WE WERE TOLD BY SOMEONE ELSE SHE HAD NO ONE IN HER OFFICE AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET TO US SOON. AFTER WE WAITED FOR 25 MIN. I HAD TO CHECK ON MY MAMMOGRAM AND WAS TOLD I WAS NEXT, SO I STAYED THERE AND MY HUSBAND SAW TWYLA. SHE WAS VERY NICE TO HIM AND AFTER I WAS FINISHED I PUT IN TO SEE HER ALSO,,,, IT WAS MY IDEA AND I HAD TO PUSH MY HUSBAND TO SEE ONE. This was my first time at this specific location. The doctor I saw was very personable and professional and spent a decent amount of time asking me questions in making an evaluation of my condition. I went to the first appointment available and found that the handicap parking spots were open and available. Personnel walking through the facility early in the morning spoke and greeted me as I walk past...they were friendly and cordial. The facility appears to be new and very clean. The entrances are marked very well and feature automatic doors to get in without having an issue. There is a place to eat inside, a small snack store inside, and some small vendors selling military type stuff and hats.

Trying to register and get an ID at this VA was the worst experience I've ever had. The 2 ladies that take care of registration and ID cards are the rudest people I have ever encountered. They yell at patients and talk to them with extreme hatred. As a vet, I thought I would be going into an environment with VA personnel that would treat us well. I see I'm not the only bad review, with these two ladies sharing similar experiences. I hope the director will see this and take quick action.

There are a few good ones up here but it doesn't make up for the disrespect that others give you. I can't believe how they treat me sometimes. I think it's funny they tell me thing aren't going to be costing me any money and then I get a bill in the mail. Good luck trying to get it all sorted out. By the time you could even get someone on the phone that bill is on your credit. They need nicer staff.

The Doctor and Nurses are great but the Lab clinic is horrible. Makes me want to avoid coming to this place. From the moment I walk in the lab clinic, a male clinician is yelling at me for just looking at him. Then goes on a rant and saying very rude disrespectful things to me.

I got a blood test prior to seeing the doctor. When I did see the doctor he went over the results of the blood work pointing out the results. However, my PSA level was never mentioned until I asked about it and the doctor saw that it was not included in the blood exam results. Point is he never even noticed it until I brought it up. I'm a VN vet exposed many times to agent orange?

Could be worse, could be better for 2nd busiest VA System in whole country. Most people aren't aware of the fact and have many more option than alot of VA's especially MH therapy's available.

I am a frequent patient at this facility. I find the VA outpatient clinic in Fort Worth to provide excellent treatment for veteran patients. The staff that has treated me is professional, compassionate, and friendly. I would much rather receive treatment here than in overcrowded Dallas.
