Great place to visit! You've got the beach and old monuments and plenty of history!

Clean beach and great paved area for walking or running.

Lots of history here. Something for everyone. A cool beach, camping area, and the uber historical fort itself. Plus, a pocket lighthouse. Don't miss it!

A great place to explore that is rich in history. Stop by the Casemate museum then give yourself plenty of time to explore inside and outside of Fort Monroe. Great views await.

Used to live there when it was an active military installation. What a unique place to live!

Nice place to go to with your family or a date and learn about some histories that happened there and go to the nice beaches there.

Awesome place!!!! Walk, jog, bike, fish. Great beaches. Alot of history happened here. Great views of the bay. Alot of history to view. There are weekly event's happing. Paradise Beach Club. Just a great place to visit!!!!!!!!

Very nice place to walk. Can catch both sunrise and sunsets.

If you have not been to Fort Monroe you should put it on the top of your list!

This place is beautiful and so historic! And a greT place to take the family!

Insanely beautiful place! There are a lot of historical places where you can feel in the past. I recommend walking around the island, where its own, not the usual atmosphere. Old England style houses) A great place to ride a bike, to walk with your family. It is unfortunate that there are no places where you can eat or drink coffee, but it doesn t matter when the story is around you! I want to return there in the summer. There is a place for trailers.

So much do do, so much to explore, so much fun! I mean there's a moat! And Lincoln stayed there during the civil war!

I use it to ride my bike everyday easily get 6 miles in without passing the same spot I enjoy the boardwalk there is lots of things to see dolphins in the water seabirds fishing even saw the migration of Monarch butterflies last year and all of the history of course.

One of my favorite places in Virginia! Free, uncrowded beach front, a museum, and there's a moat! Must visit!

There are amazing monuments, great views of the Chesapeake Bay, a lighthouse, and tons of places to take great family photos.

There is alot of history at this place and just being there is a deeply moving experience.

This place has so much character! I loved seeing the well kept old buildings. We didn't do the walking tour, but I wish we did because I had a lot of questions. Great place for a walk, very beautiful.

Make sure to visit the Casemate Museum when visiting Fort Monroe.

Fort monroe is part of my road bike ride and I enjoy what fort monroe brings to the public when I ride thru I thank God I can experience what I do when I ride there!!

Great drinks the atmosphere is cool and laid back the scenery is beautiful I didn't get a chance to try the food but I will definitely visit again

Perfect place to visit, nice beach and historical place, highly recomend. But no proper public restrooms and showers

Fantastic!!!!! Beautiful place, went to check out the RV lot. Wonderful people, where you are able to see some history. Fish in peace, take a nice nap, go for a walk or run.

I love ft monroe...being on the water watching the boats go by or jus sitting enjoying the view and the friendly people that may be around you...i love this place

Casement museum excellent. Walked around entire fort from top. Enjoyed picnic lunch sy beach. Very windy day.
