They're putting together a first class "museum" couple of years away from completion. Expect Chuck Norris to show up and I'd wager lots of country music repleat with barbecue cook outs. 'Duke', the owner, is a perfect fit... Texas style hospitality! I'm eagerly looking forward to completion.
A bit of interesting information but just not enough stuff. A bit of a let down as it is now, hopefully they build it up soon with more.
Still worth a visit though.
Didnt mention anything about the lynchings they executed or the many famimies they skinned to steal their land, yes these are historical recorded facts. So if you want to be fed lies about their "glory" then this is the place for you. If you want the real history, then dont go.
Texas Rangers have earned and deserve respect. This venue has done a great job in acknowledging just that. Long live the Texas Rangers!

It was very enjoyable - we were glad it wasn't a miserable hot day.
Gave it five even though it's only the the first stage is complete and there aren't any real exhibits. What they have completed is top notch. The staff was friendly and explained the history and what they will do next. Worth the effort to stop in if in Fredericksburg.

Arrived at the gates Friday, 12/27 at 1 PM and the museum was locked down even though the sign on the gate said open at 9 AM and no prior warning on this web site that they were to be closed. Fredricksburg was swamped with tourists everywhere we went that day. Sad, as we were look forward to showing off Texas to our out of state guests!

Beatiful, new museum quality building and displays! Even though only Phase 1 is completed, still worth a day trip. The Rangers statue is breathtaking in its detail.
I enjoyed this facility so much. I learned a lot more about the history of the Texas rangers.
Every Texan should go through this complex and walking tour.
It will be even better when they get the larger interactive building and displays done in a year or two.
Don't wait, go now and then go back to see the additional stuff later.
We should know about the history of one of the world's premier law enforcement agencies, our own Texas Rangers. They have been actively serving our peoples since before Texas separated from Mexico as an independent republic.

this place is awesome!! the historian was incredible as well. it is an experience and I felt it provided an authentic Texas experience which is hard to find since Texas is so metro and cosmopolitan!
