Good money, but over-rides personality and changes ones attitude.

I have to say I m extremely displeased with the level of service South Bay provides its customers. We not only had multiple delays with the arrival of our new boat (it was scheduled to arrive Mid-May and we received it Mid-August) but the boat arrived with the wrong tow bar on it. Since the tow bar they gave us hole won t line up with the tow bar we ordered the entire boat needs to be redecked. We were assured by both the dealer and South Bay that this would be corrected. When the dealer test drove the boat the found multiple ground issues so our stereo wouldn t work or fuel gauge wouldn t work and the gps kept resetting and working incorrectly. The dealer fixed what they could and once again assured us South Bay would handle the rest. Then towing the boat the back door came undone due to the clip that holds it in place not being screws down all the way. This caused a dent in the door. And finally the cylinders for the changing room fell off and broke. Since we live in the North and our season is over I ve yet to see what else will go wrong with the boat. I was told to have the boat back to the dealer by the beginning of November and South Bay would have all issues fixed and have the boat back to the dealer by the end of December. So I rushed to get the boat cleaned up and winterized so they could have it shrink wrapped and sent off. I was extremely surprised to find out two weeks ago that our boat hasn t even left the dealer yet and now South Bay doesn t know when they can fix it. My advice to you is if you re looking to buy a pontoon I would stay away from South Bay. They have definite quality control and service issues. It appears as if they are more focused on selling new customers substandard boats then they are of taking care of current customers. Save yourself the aggravation and make your pontoon purchase elsewhere.
What a busy place,I deliver pontoon furniture, recievers and parts department are very nice people
Poor quality, Numerous defects including cracked weld on pontoon, popped rivet on under skin etc etc. Local dealers bad too. Poor response to problems. This company should have stuck to Rvs and campers and let the real pontoon companies build good boats.
Very pleasant place to work and very nice people there.
I would of gave 0 stars if I could of. The communication is non existent. Called multiple times to speak with the manager in charge of the warranty department, they would forward me to his voice mail which he would not respond or even give me the decency to call me back to hear the issues! I was having with my defective floor which is under warranty. I will be totally shocked if they even respond to this thread.
Great work environment. Best built performance pontoons in the industry
