As of today, 11/23/20, you must make a reservation in advance to use the computers or printers for 1/2 hour. You cannot check out anything that you have not reserved in advance. Call or check it out online....they'll let you know when it's ready to pickup

This was the place where I studied for your exams. This is in the heart of Forest Park area. But the parking is a problem as it is around Chicago area. However, there was a metered parking near the place where I could park my car.
This is not a quiet place, but usually space for group studies for the medical students.
Their way if you homeless people who were sleeping in the library, which was annoying when they pulled the others asking for money.

One of the first things I look for in any community is the library. This library has a real community feel, mostly because many of the staff live in the community. I moved to Forest Park from the city and I'm very impressed with the services that are offered and the media selection. If there's something you can't find the staff can request it. I could spend all day at the library and never get bored.

I recently moved to Forest Park was excited about using the Forest Park Library. I went there to study the place was filled with homeless people sleeping. Apparently they use it as a cooling center. People were on their cell phones speaking loud. The librarians look like they were afraid to say something to them. I can remember where you could go to the library and study without having to listen to somebody s phone conversation. Very disappointed.

Normally I have great experiences at this library. My 6 year old and I frequent it a lot. The two times I have come in contact with Susan (youth service manager) have been oh so unpleasant. She can't control the loud children playing games and never seems to ask them to keep it down in volume. Other girls who work the desk do a fantastic job at controlling the children and their volume levels. She also doesn't seem to know what's going on and the rules that go along with the computers and how kids wait in line for them. We've been so patient with all the construction and lack of books due to remodeling, it's just a disappointment to have her not do her job fairly and thoroughly.

This is an amazing library. Not only is it welcoming to Forest Park Citizens, but also Chicago Citizens and Proviso Students. Adults come here to study. Teens like me come hear to practice their gaming skills, and the kids also play games. The library does have people borrowing books and what not, but mainly people using the computers and Tablets the library offers. It also has a connection with several other local libraries with a organization called SWAN. This is By Far the best library I have ever been too! The fixed the Homeless people probelm so that Homeless people have to be outside instead of inside. However, people still do smoke in the front occasionally, but not too often. Best Library Ever! :D

Staff is warm, friendly and competent. There is always some one to help. Computers are plentiful. There is a wide variety of programs for both adults and children. I like that they work actively to honor our local heritage

The Forest Park Library is very clean, great staff--They always try to help you with any types of problems within their control. Because of the Pandemic, you will have to make a reservation to use the facilities.

Lovely library with the friendliest staff! It may not be the biggest library but they have plenty of tables if you wish to study. There are also private rooms you can book for more privacy and for group discussions.

Through my past 5 years living in Forest Park, I have seen the library grow in a very impressive way. My life has changed a lot in the last half decade- I was laid off, found a job again, and had my first child with my wife and bought a house. A lot of big decisions and changes a lot of people go through. Anyway, the kids section on the lower level made the transition so much less scary. My wife and I bring our daughter to their storytimes regularly, and there is no shortage of great books and DVDs to help entertain and educate her. The same can be said for the main floor. The selection of books is so good and I can order stuff from other libraries that I want too, that will come pretty quickly. I haven't been to many programs but I hope we can someday. I have only had one bad experience here but that is just that the Mens restrooms are kind of rough, but that isn't the library's fault.

The taxes in OP and RF are what made us decide to come to Forest Park. At first we worried we wouldn't get all the groovy stuff they've got, but Forest Park can more than hold a candle. Good work!

I love my library and you should too!
