Only been here once and had a wait of about 20 minutes at least

I have had the misfortune to live in the FOD area for 30 years and I dare not publish my full opinion of FODDC. This week I've been trying to establish whether or not we need planning permission to erect a low perimiter wall on the boundary of our front garden. A fairly simple question I would have thought, but I have still not managed ot get an answer as whenever I have called, the offices have been closed (apparently they don't operate normal business hours) or the lines are busy and I have given up. Just after lunch today I finally got to speak to a real person, only to be told (in a rather discourteous and unhelpful manner) that there was no one available to answer my question and I would have to call back later. So I called back later and was told that the person I needed to speak to was now on the phone and by the time their call ended, they would be leaving the office as it closes at 4.00. Each time the tone of the response was unmistakably discourteous and unhelpful.
I could write a book about the incompetence and dubious conduct which I have encountered over years of having to deal with FODDC. As someone else on here has said, this must be one of the worst Councils in the UK,

Very rude and unhelpful. Payments have been made and because I didn't respond to a letter which I knew had already been paid I get talked to like I am some sort of criminal

The staff are very helpful, the reception area is pleasant and welcoming.

When it comes to your "taxi dept" that enforces rules and regulations for taxis that blatantly breaks the rules under your noses who you have been continuously been reminded that rules are being broken and you don't do anything. CDS taxis are picking up random people outside the Angel in coleford with it being pre booked what have you done about it.......nothing is the answer. KC cars Cinderford he has a Renault Espace FB04NWM which isn't licensed but he is using this as a taxi what have you done....nothing I don't have time to mention more so please get this sorted
