Best stamped concrete cart paths I've ever seen and course is conditioned beautifully. Fairways are generous, greens are large, and even from the tips the course doesn't play particularly long. Most shots into green side bunkers will plug so be prepared. No memorable views of the Huron-Manistee National Forest or the Au Sable River. No real memorable views at all come to think of it. Best view of the day goes to the Au Sable River scenic overlook about an hour east of the course and best of all it's free. I expect more for the $150 greens fees. I'm happy that I played it once but unless the opportunity was right I wouldn't pay what they charge to play it again. Also, be prepared to be attacked by gnats. My advice is, in this price range, play Arcadia or Bay Harbor where breathtaking views are everywhere.

Amazing golf course! Large and plentiful bunkers placed throughout the course. The course is in the middle of nowhere. The gnats, flyes and other random flying pests are horrible.... No kidding horrible!
Otherwise, an amazing course!

Such a beautiful course! The staff was very knowledgeable and super friendly. The food was awesome, the beer was ice cold, and the property was very well maintained! 10/10 would recommend!

Forest dunes and loop really is a special place, two different courses and both are outstanding. FD is pristine as any around and loop keeps u on your toes from tee to green with a real links style both directions. Staff and restaurant are second to none. Make it a point to give them a try , won t disappoint
