Excellent brunch. Great service. Really cool place...

Excellent brunch. Great service. Really cool place.
Wonderful service!!! Amazing food!!! They were very accommodating for us needing to get in and out so we could go to see Hamilton the musical. Food was delicious!!! Thanks for making my daughters 16th birthday wonderful
Had brunch here with a friend today. Parking was a nightmare (Mission Street Fair was today, my bad). When I called to let them know we were running late the awesome hostess let me know they had valet parking ($12). As luck would have it I scored a spot circling back for valet.
The restaurant is beautiful inside, high ceilings, light and airy... Mediterranean... Reminded me a bit of Greece for some reason... Our server was wonderful. Brunch was AMAZING.
I had the Tuscan style pork with eggs, Y had the Persian omelette. My pork was delicious, but the Persian omelette took the cake! Cocktails were lovely. We missed out on the sticky bun (of legend). Get there early if you must try the sticky bun. Me, I am not too sad I will have to return to FS to try the sticky bun. We had the strawberry pop tart instead, which was great.
This is a rare brunch spot that accepts resos... Which is great if you are a planner and have out-of-town guests looking for amazing SF eats.
One of the most interesting restaurants in the city. Very cool outdoor patio as well as a well-lit indoor dining room. Excellent brunch options.
Extremely expensive for the portions they serve. Would not recommend eating here as I left hungry and unsatisfied.
Great brunch and drinks. Get a table on the patio for some sunshine.
The croque madame is one of the best i've ever had. Pair it with a bloody mary and it's bound to be a good time.
Ambience is great -- the "original" video w/ dining experience. Limited but good veggie options. Delicious breads and some nice cocktails
The atmosphere is nice but the food is delicious. It's noisy because there are many people and the table space is small.
Unique dining experience. The pork chop was melt in your mouth greatnesss.
Very good experience! The Restaurant has two environments, so make sure to sit outside, where there is the screen that the films show. Too good food and normal price, nothing too expensive. Very good service and has heating outside
A quirky bar with great food and really good drinks!
This is may absolute favorite place to go when I visit SF. They have the best food and coolest theme of any spot in town.
Almost surreal atmosphere. Fried chicken got better with each bite. Service and attention to detail were also 5 stars.
Had a decadent meal with delicious drinks and dessert.
Love the decor of this place, it makes you feel you are in an outdoors cinema. Definitely will go again :)
The atmosphere was absolutely magical. We were fortunate enough to be seated outside on the patio and the ambiance was incredible. The food was amazing, the flavors perfection. This is a must-try in SFO.
Delicious food and cocktails. Try to get a seat in the patio.
Croque Madame didn t disappoint! Love the arugula, fries, and the main entree is basically a delicious, boujee hot ham and cheese sandwich with a yolky egg on top.
I hosted a private event for 25 people. Foreign Cinema did a great job. Delicious food and great service.
What a treat! Foreign Cinema is a romantic spot, great for a date night and surprisingly quiet. I would highly recommend sitting outside. The food is very inventive with a daily rotating menu. I especially enjoyed the duck and pork chop, but you really cannot go wrong. Be sure to save room for the dessert because the pot au chocolat is amazing!
Too much hype. Food was just ok. Ambience is great for a date nite.
I was taken to this place for my bday dinner and I couldn't be happier with the choice. Loved it. Staff amazing.
Even on a cold night in San Francisco the outdoor seating is warm and inviting. Everything was fantastic.
Very delicious food. Fried chicken with African and Indian spices was amazing. Olive appetizer was not briny at all.
The restaurant's vibe is amazing. It's well blended with an old cinema's retro moods! Also foods are good. Feels exotic.
The patio is magical and it's the only place I would sit. The food, although it didn't blow me away, was unique and creative. I'd reserve FC for special occasions and it's a must visit at least once.
Delicious food and interesting wine list! The duck breast was some of the best I've had anywhere, and the truffle tagliatelle was perfect. Personally a huge fan of the nectarine and prosciutto (to me, it was an upgraded version of the More
The venue is great. The atmosphere at entrance with those beautiful hostess ladies also. I've been there a couple of times, and it was full both times. So book tables in advance. Specially if you would like to face projected on the wall movie.
Amazing meal. The Chef came to our table and explained the plot of the movie playing while my taste buds were in ecstasy. Would come again.
High quality, great food, relaxed, good service too!
While normally a delightful dinner I was underwhelmed with brunch. The frittata was simple and light, but too simple, the lobster served chilled but not listed so we assumed streamed) and we weren't able to detect the interfering ingredients in the bloody merry like curry that were on the menu. Overall not pleased l, but I'd still return for dinner.
Did not live up to the hype for me. Cool setting. So so food.
Only have been there for drinks - the bar tenders know what they are doing. Will need to return for the full experience!
Just visited for brunch. Got the pop tart, sticky bun, scrambled eggs, poached eggs with duck, and bloody Mary. All excellent. Staff were attentive and nice. They also do good espresso drinks. I loved it.
I suggest you make reservation or show up when they open to get a table.
Absolutely fantastic food! Great atmosphere! Make sure you reserve a table early though cause there aren't a ton of tables that have a great view of the screen. We had a really late reservation cause we couldn't make our earlier one so it made sense that I didnt have a great view. And the staff knew it was our honeymoon and made our dessert extra special! Such a beautiful experience
Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. The only downside here was that the food took forever to come out. We had been seated for 1.5 hours before the main meal arrived.
Don't let the name fool you. This place is a restaurant, not a cinema. In two of the rooms movies are playing on the walls, more as decor. There are no subtitles. The third room is more intimate with no movie. The food was quite good and the menu inventive. The pork chop was the star of the show. Juicy and delicious! For the price of the experience, the service was not a match.
Nice atmosphere . Friendly staff .good food .. extensive wine list :)
The food is really good. Can be hard to get a table or reservations.
The food was out of this world and this place had one of the largest wine lists I have ever seen in my life. Lives up to its name as one of the most romantic restaurants in the city with warm lighting, candles, and classic movies playing in the background (although check the movie first as some aren't what I would consider Classics).
Delightful dining experience. Excellent spot for an intimate date. Friendly and approachable service. Extensive wine menu. Reservations recommended.
Really cool venue. Definitely recommend the food as well. Would go again. In a fairly dodgy neighborhood but makes it all the more cool!
The ambiance was incredible, great lighting, music and movie were not too loud so you could easily watch or speak with the people around you. I knocked it down one star because it seemed that the food was a little pricey and the portions were small.
Great ambiance, great food on the expensive side. Perfect place for a date or a night out!
Cool spot with an extremely good brunch. Great vibes and cocktails. Reservations recommended!
Rarely is a dish beautiful. I ordered the duck confit brunch dish because I love duck confit. But the dish itself, is so much more. The way the kale folds into the fat of the confit only to be held by the harissa is stunning.
I had a wonderful dining experience there with my husband and our 7-year old. The atmosphere does cater more to adults, but they do have a 3-course dinner for kids (which our son absolutely enjoyed). We had a dinner reservation on a Monday, and the place was packed and busy, which is always a good sign. It did take some time for our server to come to our table once we were seated, but Raul (who I believe is a manager) approached us, apologized for the wait and kindly offered us dessert on the house. The food was delicious, and we highly recommend this place.
A great night out with good food and awesome outdoor seating. Could be better but still pretty delish. Lacks authenticity and creativity but the flavors are very close to wanting to go back.
Amazing food, but you need to order three courses to fill you up and it's quite pricey. The duck is to die for!
The environment at Foriegn Cinema was fantastic. I was only there for drinks and did not eat, so I cannot comment on the food. Sat at the back patio and had social drinks with friends while a movie played over the projector.
So romantic and fun to bring out-of-town guests. I love to sit outside in the courtyard. Brunch and drinks are delicious!
A really fun concept for dinner - it's like watching a movie in the park but with the comfort of being indoors and with delicious food. The atmosphere is really fun - we were in a private room overlooking the main dining area and it was enjoyed by everyone in our group. We had the option to turn on/control volume of the movie the speakers as well - so that was appreciated so we didn't have to talk over the film but could listen in on parts of it. Everyone enjoyed their food - great reviews on the steak and the fried chicken was the best I've ever had. Also had a great wine list and desserts were incredible. Staff and mgmt went above and beyond to make it a special event and I would return to sit in the main dining area next time I visit SF.
We came here expecting to get a seat outside so we can have a view of the movie (the whole reason for coming here) and we were told we had to specifically reserve a seat for that when we made our reservation. So, instead, we got seated in the general dining area. We noticed another couple show up later in the evening and they were at first guided to their seats in the general dining area as well. They didn't seem to like their seats so they asked to be seated outdoors where the movie was playing and they got to move. Not sure why we were given different treatment but that itself is enough to make me not want to return.
Amazing service. When I was ill and didn't touch my food, they took it off the bill and gave me a Pop tart for later when I hopefully felt better.
What a great place for dinner, and to watch a movie. The food and service were great.
Great atmosphere, decent food and service. Still going strong after all these years!
All around great place and multi-people pleaser. I ve been here for brunch and dinner several times and it s always fantastic. The service is thoughtful and top notch. Food is delicious, classic with innovative twists, and very high quality ingredients.
Nice site for tasty californian food. it's so savory. the service was friendly and observant. the bill was fair for the quality of the food. similar to a cafe in las vegas i liked.
I would highly recommend experiencing Foreign Cinema; the food & service was fantastic. We made a last-minute reservation so didn t get seated in the terrace where the movie is shown. I would suggest requesting a terrace table if you are particularly attached to watching the classic movie. The food more than made up for this - I can recommend the Chicken Masala (two pieces of fried chicken with a side of hummus) & the chocolate pot (which included a strawberry macron).
The ambience is good and its a nice classy restaurant. All the food and drinks we ordered were great which is rare. The sea bass was amazing but the steak could have been marinated a little more. They're open with social distanced seating. I would probably go again if I have friends visiting and want to take them to a nice place.
Always have a great time there, especially sitting outside or at the bar
great brunch or dinner. They also have private rooms for big groups.
Love foreign cinema. I had the shakshuka and my friend had the tandoori chicken and basmati rice. All the food was excellent, well spiced and tasty. The drinks are always delicious. With the nice weather, we were able to sit out in the sun.
The breakfast brunch was great! We went to 10:45 and everything was still hot and there was plenty of everything. The server was very friendly and took good care of us. The food was also very friendly and professional. Thank you very much for your kindness, guys! Highly recommendable Restaurant in the area!
Service was very slow. The food was ok, but not what you would expect from a restaurant like this.
Awesome cocktails and amazing service. The bartender Chris was such a pleasure. We will definitely be back the next time we visit SF!
I love Foreign Cinema. We had great drinks and a great meal. Atmosphere is terrific - hard to beat the old-school movies on the wall and the stars overhead.
Ambience is very very nice! Great selection of wines! Food is good. Service is great our host was sweet and helpful.
