This is a very long story we started back on 12/1/...

This is a very long story we started back on 12/1/24 when the car was towed into Ford dealership at Newstead for a transmission fix (on the warranty and a well known problem with this type of Fiesta) the car was in repair for approximately 3 weeks after I chased up the car due to no courtesy car being offered we finally got the car back
After the second time of driving the car was doing exactly the same issue another tow needed this time costing $250
The car went back to the repair garage at ford Newstead this time I asked for a courtesy car and was granted one
I made it my business to call every two weeks to chase up the progress of the car
On the 19/6 out of the blue I received a text saying “your car is ready to collect please collect asap -I went in to collect the car only to be told “that text shouldn’t of been sent out we haven’t even looked at the car yet?
On 6/6/24 some five months later with no call backs and being told over and over again “the service manager will call you back” I didn’t get a call back I contacted Ford head office complaints department a few days later someone emailed me to say “she couldn’t call me as she had no voice” but she would “look into It” after six emails telling me “we’re trying to sort this out for you” last one received 24/6 I was still no further forward? On 16/7 I received a call to say it’s not the transmission it’s a spark plug problem and it would cost between $2500 and $3500 to fix
When I explained the history he said (Don the 2ic) said to be honest we’re cleaning up a mess here we're all brand new and quite frankly we didn’t even know your car was here? We’re just working through the issues
I was left exasperated after almost 7 months to be told it would cost a serious amount of money regarding a problem that I hadn’t even heard about the whole time? he then told me “the cars probably not even worth it” you’d get more for scrap
Really? To ford I’m obviously nothing at all I’m not even worth a follow up call in over 6 months ..Will I ever buy Ford again No Way! Will I tell everyone about my disgusting service? Yes I will
People have told me to write to the motor vehicle ombudsman for some help which I am going to do
I’m hoping that my review will help to educate others who may be considering to use or buy from this dealership “Ford dealership at Newstead” my advice to you is Please Don’t!
The review I wrote is not even worth a 1 star rating it’s simply disappointing and unacceptable service I’m a very sad and unhappy customer

DONT BUY A FORD.

DONT BUY A FORD.

Bought a Ranger Raptor new. Drive through a water obstacle. Not above wading height. Ford say water in the battery tray proves you were under water....

See the attached image. 14 months for the car not to be right and Ford refuse to acknowledge gearbox recall
... then after shots Ford had at fixing my car with four gearboxes total, 1 wrong wiring loom resulting in a 3 month delay on its own, a near fatal car accident on the Bruce Hwy at 110km an hour and then I lost my job. Ford laughed (I have the call recording) then when my health deteriorated they became more agressive and hostile - sending police to my house to "welfare check" after I mentioned I had PTSD.

I lost everything and now after my first win against the insurer, these guys are next.

But a thank you to the internal staff member who leaked me emails showing they were working against me in a myriad of ways I cannot wait for this story to take off.

I bought a new Ford ranger 2016 went to pick-up the vehicle and sold my car prior to pick up and they didn't have the right car for me they put the wrong car together then had weather shields put on and they were put on crooked which looks very unprofessional and they can't do anything about it so then i took my car for it's first car service ford where they tell you when you buy the car they clean the whilst being serviced and that wasn't even done right the car was as dirty as if i just dropped it off ever buying another FORD

if I could give ford zero I would. been having transmission problems with my ford focus 2013 model for the past 6.5 years, every time they say its fixed 6 months later it goes again. called them several times to have it fixed again and was told they won't look at because I didn't need to worry as I was in the class action id probably get my money back anyway. Doesn't help when I need a car to get me to and from work each day

My Relative has a dodgy car from Ford and as a single mum has struggled. Her car falls outside these dates but has been stuffed around by the same issues. Never, ever buy a Ford. Another relative falls within these dates and so will have a replacement car. On your recall you state, Ford Australia has admitted that, between 1 May 2015 and 29 February 2016, it contravened the Australian Consumer Law.... Well is it not really because FORD Australia has a record $10 million fine by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for "unconscionable conduct" for failing to fix dodgy transmissions on 10,500 cars made between 2011 and 2016. You admitted it after the fact!

Hi Stephen, I was wondering if you can clarify my rights? I purchases a ford cabriole 6 years ago and three times- whilst still under warrenty- I was without my car for days as they repaired the leaking seals on the roof. Now out of warrenty-and again I have a leaking roof- the dealer ship is now VERY honest about the fault with this models roof and have wiped their hands of the problem. It costs thousands to repair the seal.
I didn t buy a motorbike, were I would fully expect to get wet as I drive. Surely I have been mislead and have been sold a car that does not fit it s purpose.
Any advise on what I should do please??

DO NOT BUY FORD!!!!! Have had a love for Ford for over 20 years, one of my favourite memories is driving around in Pops old XP Falcon. We have owned multiple fords in our business and apart from their constant recalls resulting in lost time we have only had minor problems and that is too be expected with a fleet.... until now. However we have just had our Ford Ranger blow up with 70000kms on the clock. It has been deemed a manufacturer defect and Ford have told us it will cost over $6700 to repair with a whole new engine assembly. Does this sounds like a reasonable level of support from a company that has deemed the fault a manufacturing defect? Ford has lost a customer here and we will do our best to ensure that no one in our family or network has to incur the same costs we have, not only from the vehicle but loss of revenue and time from the vehicle being off the road whilst we wait for the outcome. FORD DOES NOT SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN SMALL PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THEM!!!!!!

I run a business in Melbourne and have had Ford vehicles for over 25 years.
We currently have a Raptor hasnt even had its first service 16,000kms 10 months old & been back to Knox Ford 5 times with transmission issues. They have replaced all the Gears & now replaced the Valve Body. The car has failed twice in traffic alomost causing major accidents.
It is unsafe unrelable, Effectively is unfit for its common purpose.
It is a LEMON

I need a simple answer to a question about tyre sizes on a Ford Mondeo. I rang Ford head Office - they tell me I have to go to a dealership for technical information. I have rung 3 dealerships - 2 wouldn't answer over the phone - wanted me to come in for a fantastic deal on tyres and the other didn't answer! The third - I am still on hold!! Why did I buy a Ford.

DO NOT BUY FROM FORD.

DO NOT BUY FROM FORD.

I purchased a 2014 focus titanium for 18k back in 2018 from a ford dealer.
In the 2 years and 30000km worth of driving my car has been on a tow truck 4 times.

I asked ford for the service history of my focus and i was totally shocked to find out the car has had 4 clutch replacement in 80000km, 2 of these where only 2000km apart.

When i purchased the vehicle i was told i was buying a very reliable car and i wont have any problems. LIE

When i first started to notice the shuddering. jerky gear change i was told by my ford dealer it was my driving. LIE

I've had 2 years from hell because i put my trust and hard earned money into a ford.

My car is currently at a ford dealer with siezed shift forks and a bill of just over 2k. I refuse to pay another cent for work to be done on this car.

Westpoint ford Hoppers Crossing knowingly sold me a faulty car because 2000km prior to me buying it the car had 2 clutch replacements and the work was done by Westpoint ford.

Even when my car is running its a constant worry is today the day i break down again.

When my family visited from overseas i hired a car as i didnt want my focus to breakdown and ruin our holiday and luckily i did because not long after my holiday the car was on a tow truck again.

I've spent $1000s on hire cars and tows since i purchased my ford. ford has only ever given me a loan car on 1 occasion.

We have just purchased a brand new 2015 Ford Kuga ...

We have just purchased a brand new 2015 Ford Kuga Titanium at the end of July. Got a flat tyre three weeks ago and can't get a replacement tyre anywhere in Australia. We have been without a car for three weeks and Ford doesn't want to know about it. They were no help at all. Apparently Ford did not inform Continental Tyres that the Kugas will be coming into Australia with that particular tyre and there are none to be found in the country at the moment. We have been unable to purchase another appropriate tyre either. Just letting anybody out there with a Kuga know and pray that none of you get a flat tyre! There's been a breakdown in communication somewhere in Ford at Management level........We have been caught in a situation through no fault of our own and are most definitely NOT IMPRESSED to have a $52k new car sitting gathering dust in the shed while we have to walk everywhere, living in an isolated rural town as we do. Very angry at the lack of sympathy and unhelpful attitude from Ford.

We bought a 2014 focus with the dual clutch transmission. The clutch needed replacing at 7000km, then again at 24000km. It then started to fail again at 54000km.

We contacted Ford Australia for assistance and were informed by a customer service consultant that we may be able to get a refund. We were told we needed to go to a dealer and have the car evaluated. We were told we could take the car to the Ringwood dealer which was the closest to us as we live in regional Victoria.

When picking up the car from the Ringwood dealer, we were told that they couldn t do the evaluation as it had to be done at the original dealer we bought it from. Ok, only 4 hours of our time wasted. The idiots serviced the vehicle while they had it, which we didn t ask, but that s another story.

So a little angry we contacted Ford Australia who directed us to go to Coffee Ford in D'nong. Awful place to buy a car, but again, another story.

So we return to pick the car up from Coffee Ford who tell us they can't tell us anything and the evaluation information has been submitted to Ford Australia for review.

After waiting about a week, the response from Ford was that there will be no refund as they believe that they can fix the car. The issues with this feedback is:
1. they obviously cannot fix the car - they had had two goes at it
2. there was absolutely no need for us to go anywhere for them to give us this feedback - they wasted a good day of our time

It's also interesting that they received fines for lying to their customers about issues with their cars. Obviously, this has not changed how they treat their customers.

By the way, when they do give people refunds, which are generally way below market value, they simply on-sell the defective vehicle and make further profit.

Do your research, there are reviews like this about Ford all over the internet and there is a class action against them. I'm sure there will be more in the future.

Apparently, Australian consumer laws mean absolutely nothing to Ford Australia. I understand that they do make some nice cars, but buying from Ford is like playing Russian roulette. If you have an issue, you are on your own.

Ford Australia is one of the most disgusting companies I have dealt with and it is no wonder they cant compete with overseas competitors.

Very shattered by my last ford I bought. 2012 Ford Focus that s done only 69,000kms and has full service history at Ford dealerships, Ford Australia will not help me in any way in fixing my transmission. Been told by ford the bearings have failed which I don t believe i could of done anything about it. Definitely at fault in the car. Ford response is the age of the car. It s only 6 years old. I thought the brand Ford meant something !! Obviously not. Never buying a ford again

Very bad experience, given me a defective Mustang with scratches on the paint, promised me I ll have the repaint on the following week but when I come back the following week, I was told they will start asking for quotes.

After 1 month and more than 15 times I called different people including service manager Michael, I still not get the things solved.

If you won t get back to me, please don t promise.

Forgot to mention that this is a replacement vehicle as the previous mustang s aircon had broken down for 7 times for different problems within 15000 kms.

bought a ford focus trend 2012 not HAPPY the power steering module which is a MAJOR part of the car and is unserviceable needs replacing this part should last nearly as long as the car at a cost of over $5000 spoke to Leah ford will cover 60% of the cost but I should feel people with the same problem should not have to pay anything at all as it was a recall in America but we have different standards in Australia I don't think I will keep the car after this as you only get 12 months warranty and who knows it just might happen again

I have a Ford Everest Ambiente ENGINE CUTS OUT WHILE DRIVING ALONG. Has done 45,000km
I have always been unhappy with gearing, does not lug up hills. Has intermittent problems, seems to hold itself back downhill when cruise control and sports mode ARE NOT in use, When you are down the hill, you have to hit brakes before you can accelerate. Service center says can't find or demonstrate the problem.
The other day, the ENGINE CUT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING. Fortunately it restarted. Service center says they cannot find the problem. At my request they contacted Ford head office and said they had no other reports of this problem in Ford Everests. My question is: how many cars have to have this problem before they recall them? How many service centers don't tell head office about the problem?

I would give no star if I could. I had 2 Ford cars (faulty) in less than 2 years, I have faced so many problems: with the car, service and ongoing issues! I have emailed service department/manager, called and booked several services. No one seems to care about what the challenges I have been facing and my emails are simply ignored. I have a ACCC and Fair Traiding case in place, even though nothing has been resolved. I am very disappointed with manufacturer, dealership and this car. In my honest and humble opinion switch over to Ford was just a MISTAKE!

I tried this morning to put a gentlemen through to speak with Accounts Receivable and was transferred to India where the gentleman on the phone could only not speak English well but could not understand English very well so business could not be conducted. Then phoned Campbellfield again and asked if we could speak with someone who spoke and understood English and was transferred to someone here in Australia only to get voicemail. Very frustrating and very bad customer service.. This maybe something your company may wish to improve on.

I had a Ford Mondeo 2012 breakdown and whilst at the service centre the car got worse and worse under Ford's care. I was instructed that fixing the computer (PCM) would repair my car, I asked to confirm that this would fix it (because I was first told they were unsure), I was told it would fix the problem after further testing revealed it would. It did not and now a second computer and the transmission is broken under their care. It will now cost approx. 10k to fix the car. I asked for them to remove the PCM and return my car to me at no charge me (already paid $600 on a previous fix that didn't work). Now I have been told that they will not give me my car back, they will not give me access to remove my rego plates or collect personal items without paying and I understand that lawyers will get involved if I do not pay. The manager was hostile and practically calling me a lair even though he was not on the call when it was discussed with me that the new PCM would fix it. I tried to go through the Ford complaint process but apparently they have zero influence on the service centre and cannot help. I would like Ford Australia to do the right thing and influence the service centre to resolve this issue with no further costs to me.

The guys at CC Ford have been really great, at lea...

The guys at CC Ford have been really great, at least that was when we were there to purchase vehicles from them. Now that we have our first ever warranty claim the smiles have turned to grimaces and they want nothing to do with us.

Back in 2007 we purchased a used Ford Ranger for our business and were quite happy with it so we purchased a brand new one in 2012 and another new one in 2014. Unfortunately the 2012 model broke down on a standard trip back from QLD and had to be towed back to Gosford. This vehicle was less than two years old and with less than 60 000 km on the clock.

Turns out that the engine had croaked for no apparent reason as assessed by our own mechanic who confirmed that it was recently serviced, had plenty of oil and appeared not to have been misused in any way.

Unfortunately CC Ford decided not to honour the warranty, based on a technicality. Well, they in fact tried several reasons not to honour the warranty! Firstly they claimed that the warranty was now void because we had allowed our own mechanic to "tamper with it" after it had been towed back to Gosford.

I contacted Ford Customer service who said that this would not be grounds for voiding the warranty and referred me back to CC Ford but this time they decided that, although we had serviced it twice in two years (once by them), this was not enough and the warranty was void.

Again I contacted Ford Customer Service who said that this should not be a problem and referred us back to CC Ford who then managed to squirm out of the warranty again by saying that our qualified mechanic who we have been using for all our vehicles for the past 14 years had used the wrong oil (5w-40 instead of 5w-30. According to my mechanic the 5w-40 is superior to 5w-30 and in fact the Ford vehicles are listed on the oil container as suitable candidates for this oil.

I have got back to CC Ford asking that they put in writing for me the fact that the mechanic used the incorrect oil, but CC Ford will not put anything in writing for me. Sounds s bit suss to me!

So now we are left with a brand new (two year old vehicle) that has croaked for no apparent reason and will cost us a quoted $6 000 to repair, and CC Ford wash their hands of it, even though we were in the early stages of purchasing a fourth Ford Ranger when all this happened.

I guess our next vehicle will no longer be a Ford Ranger but perhaps rather a Great Wall as surely Great Wall will look after us if their vehicle croaks within two years of use, and besides, the cost of a brand new Great Wall won't be much more than the cost of getting the Ranger repaired.

CC Ford have lost a customer for life!
