Fontana Police Department Review

Polite police officers, roomy patrol cars and overall very professional. Will absolutely be arrested here again.

All the officers driving the new SUV vehicles act like complete morons and think they are above the law. Driving like assh0|es without lights or sirens on, speeding 50+ mph in residential areas. I feel every officer should be required to wear a chest cam recording constantly when on duty. They should be held responsible for all laws broke when not on a official call with lights and sirens on. They're supposed to be a good example and role model, yet they absolutely do not act like it.

Hands down the worst Police Department in all of the United States. They are quick to violate your human and inalienable right. I've seen them Destroy A Humans First Amendment right while they were standing there on the corner with a sign.
. I've seen them chase Suspects up on curbs putting pedestrians life's at risks. Blatant disregard for innocent and human life when it comes to doing the work that they do. They are very gung-ho and violent prone. It is time we defend them and take the 80 million a year they get away, that is just way too much money.

Never had a bad experience with officers from this department always very professional and appreciate their service and integrity...However my younger brother who is on probation (had just checked in and in good standing) and a convicted felon (already served time years ago in state prison) and was arrested in city today. Hoping this was a simple oversight and maybe it was an honest mistake but his personal property including his wallet with id approx $500 USD cellular phone watch etc has yet to be released or even acknowledged in written report and was not forwarded to his Inmate Booking Account or released to family member. I'm sure the fine men and women of this department are very busy especially with Current Situation but if anyone Related to this case could look into this it would be highly appreciated Re: John L Holland 4-11-2020 arresting officer Hart FPD

August 9th 2016, shame on you police department. Waited over 2 hours to have a police officer come and speak to us at our resident and I ended up calling to cancel because I had to work the next day. I called the police at 9pm. Around 11pm I called and canceled because the police told me they wont tell me what time they will show at my house. No home owner wants the police knocking on their door at 2am. Very unprofessional behaviour displayed by the police.

On New Years Eve at 1:30 am called the poice on the neighbor due to there loud music. At 2:30 am still no police. We call back and because it's not an emergency they won't do anything. No wonder people take the law into there own hands. Its on now!!! You suck P.D. dispatch

Constantly hanging out at gas stations and be hung community center . The park by my home filled wit empty drug bags , drug users day and night . I've seen transgender take men into bathroom at park . I've seen full on fights with no police response after several local school kids gather to fight . The empty house next door to me was being lived out by homeless and drug users . They leave there cars on wit the air on wasting tax payers money . And over all just a lack of integrity in there job. Not saying harass the working ppl . But these drug users steal and stink.up the city and they do nothing .. I don't let my kids walk home because I don't trust police have area under control at all .

Incompetent officers do not investigate situations before using excessive force and do not complete police reports in a timely manner for adequate followup.

They Weren't Bad at all In My Opinion. The only reason Most of you people are putting 1 Star Is Because They Got you guys in trouble. They Were Very fast They did there Jobs and Left. Got my Statement and The Officer that did So was VERY Nice to me. All Officers Had Respect and did what they had to. They probably have many Calls Coming in they have to take Care of the very important ones First as fast as possible. So They're not gonna Jump directly on Noise complaints when they have an assault and Robbery call.

Slowest response. You can basically throw a party, have loud music and if someone complain the police will not be there untill 1am..

Horrible officers don't even give you a chance too explain yourself..

We were harassed by people who are buying our home. The Fontana police officer who showed up was clearly biased, based on the real estate agent who represented those buyers wearing her "wife of a cop" pendant prominently on a chain for him to see. The police officer, rather than clearly stating that the matter was civil and he had no real jurisdiction, proceeded to use scare tactics and support the buyers and their bullying.
By the way--they had absolutely NO LEGAL GROUNDS for their demands. Unfortunately, we discovered this too late and the bullying and scare tactics worked. This is just another example of cops supporting cops at the cost of citizens and all others who are less knowledgable. Shame on Fontana PD for not supporting the citizens who pay their salaries. As a citizen of the city who has NEVER had a run-in with the police in our city (or in my life), I felt absolutely unprotected. Glad I'm moving to a new city where HOPEFULLY we will be served and protected according to the oath the police take.

Got a great welcome from one of their Best officer as I cruised from a 50 mph from 210 onto Sierra thinking it similar to Ayala; new to area & even felt niggling feeling with her view of weather from clear rather it was overcast with no sun.

March 2018 I put in a report about a woman that stole $850 from me. Gave them everything from her address, facebook and picked her out of an old mugshot picture and they still haven t done anything or gotten back to me about it. Pathetic.

I'm glad for the free advice and bike helmets they used to give out. Wish I could get another one for our last son.

I am from NH and had my credit (actually my girlfriends) card stolen online and was treated with care by not only the officer, but the receptionist as well. Very nice caring and helpful people. I was much appreciated! Thank You.

The officers working at the front desk the day I went were very kind and helpful it was a nice presents being in their atmosphere.

Fontana, CA 92337 charged my card and ordered pizza from Pizza Pirates 10255 Mission Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92509. I don't know who they are.

Called non emergency line and were at my home within 5-10 mins. I that was pretty damn quick!! Thank you FPD.

The officer pulled me over while I was coming off a dirt road camping with my family in the wilderness. Gave me a seatbelt ticket. The officer Alfrado Chen was rude. He didnt say one word to me expect handed me a ticket and said do not try to fight this in court I have it on camera. Then he drove off. I am calling the fontana police let them know they work for me and my people.

I went in the police station this Wednesday, I went in for a advice in what to do in a situation. And the police Officer with a Brocken wrist was not professional of course he just went through the academy and has no education. All they do is act tough with the citizens, remember the police ain t nothing without the community. Community relations and police relations. Are both.

Every officer on patrol is on their cell while driving, and they have an average response time of an hour unless the call is coming from a doughnut shop or Shakey's pizza.

I'm in a wheelchair and I came home from work I work at disneyland and as I'm driving up my drive way he puts the lights on me acussing me of driving a stolen worst department ever

Put a ticket on my car that my daughter is using because there is only 1 license plate on the vehicle. The vehicle is registered in Arizona and the state of Arizona only issues 1 license plate. The vehicle was parked on the street for about an hour. The officer issued a ticket and somehow the front windshield came up broken. The officers Sgt told me that he checked the officers body camera footage and says the windshield was fine when he put the ticket on the car...however they refuse to show us the video. This in itself makes me believe that they are hiding something. My daughter also recorded that same Sgt say that the only reason they put a ticket on the vehicle is because it is related to a certain property. So basically they are harassing her. They did quash the ticket because apparently they do not know that Arizona only issues one plate. I work for a police agency in Arizona I have never seen anything like this in my 30 year career. The Mayor and City Counsel need to take a look at this department. Something is definitely is wrong at this Police Department. I see more bad post's then good I'm just glad I don't live in Fontana.

Very poor service..no compassion for victims and they have no interest in receiving information for investigations..they have an I don't care attitude..very poor listeners.. how do you get a police report right if you don't listen and don't care?

It's going on many years now since 2009 and I will never forget how you guys beat me for no reason.. I just had had a baby I know you wanted me dead .. God said No she is actually a good one.. haaaaaaa can't mess with God now I'm going to tell..my case was never heard it disappeared.. I'm a big girl now and I hope your family has suffered like mine has

Cops in Fontana and the civilians at the office are generally very friendly people. Down to earth and respectful. Just assisting with law enforcement- they have a serious attitude but not malicious at all! They re obviously out to protect the public (and enforce the laws we chose to have in place..). Overall very effective police force.

Good officers, most have really good hearts and will spend the time to talk to you. However a lot of them do speed without lights/sirens. Response time depends on the call but is usually slow.
I've been a resident for over 17 years.

I agree with Marcus I always see them around doing there job and they've always responded fast when I had called them.

Could not answer the phone on weekends what is up, does crime stop on the weekends

If I could give this police station A ZERO I would. All they care about is how good they are going to look putting someone away. I helped put a sexual predator in jail. They are my friend. Now that I need help they don't want to give me the time of day! NO WONDER I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE POLICE!!

Some police and explorers are in AZ for some reason and were eating at a chick fill a in uniform. We sat down by them.

Both tables were listening to podcasts out loud so anyone around could hear. One really loud, the other not so loud.

Californians already have a bad reputation of being entitled (did you guys not know this?), and this is yet one more example, led by their police!

I finally asked them to turn it down, and the police officer looked up and said, "excuse me?" And put his hand to his ear. Makes sense now...hard of hearing...however, NOBODY ELSE wants to listen to your podcast. Get some earbuds!

He turned it down UNAPOLOGETICALLY and gave me a glare. We still could hear it clearly.

Don't glare at me, Rude One. And don't wear your uniforms if you're gonna be rude in public. You represent your department and you're not representing well.

Another officer had his gun on him. I could have sworn there was a sign saying no firearms on the way in.
