This hotel let me down in many ways. First of all, the check-in was a complete disaster. Not only the initial receptionist took a while to enter our info but when we got to the room, there was a strange paint smell and barely any sunlight. When we asked for a different room, the second receptionist gave us a cold look and quickly told us that the room would not be ready. After a few minutes, she magically found a room and when we got to the second room, someone else's stuff was in the room! Apparently, they don't know which rooms are empty/occupied. We waited another 10 minutes for another room and the manager was nice enough to offer us drinks. We finally got a room in our third try but the room layout was quite strange. They claimed that it was an open plan but the shower was basically next to the bed with no curtains or anything. It was very easy to spill water all over the place. The shower did not drain properly, the water temperature control did not react all of the time. The toilet was right next to the shower but the door did not shut properly, so never felt comfortable. There was a nice balcony (the only thing I liked about the room). There was an electronic setup to open/close the curtains but the thick curtain was made of plastic and it smelled like plastic when we opened/closed it, not pleasant. The sound insulation in the room was not great either, we could hear next door opening/closing their curtains all the time and people talking. The breakfast was quite basic and the same goes for the gym as well. I was supposed to get free water bottles every day as a diamond member but I had to keep calling them to get the actual water, not good customer service. Overall, this is an OK hotel with good location but way overpriced for what it offers and the staff could definitely learn a thing or two about customer service.
I've stayed in a lot of DoubleTree hotels, but by far and away, this is the absolutely nicest. The place is REALLY hip and modern, with lots of glass and chrome and shiny finishing. The bar area has some really nice features, including translucent skylights. The rooms are also nicely appointed. While the television is a bit small by American hotel standards, you won't be watching TV while in Lisbon. The buffet breakfast is quite good. The hotel is walking distance to some very fine restaurants and a large food market.
Comfortable rooms, friendly and good breakfast. Metro nearby
Nice and urban. Godd location. Mixture of leisure and business.
Very clean room and hotel and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast buffet
Very good Hotel, with an exemplary Customer Service.
The hotel is easy to get to from the airport using the metro, we took the red line to Saldanha station and it took about 25 mins and cost 1.41 EUR one way, so not bad. The metro station is about 5 mins walk away, very convenient. Check in was fast and easy, and we were given a free cookie, so far so good.
The room was large and clean, and the deco chic but impractical; the walls were painted black and so so dark. The same went for the bathroom, black glass walls, all in all, the whole room was very dark even with all the lights turned on, so annoying and bad for your eyes. The walls of the bathroom were see-through and glass, this means that you can see whats going on inside the bathroom from outside when the other person is bathing - hence not suitable if you are not a couple / family. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, hence it steamed up easily from hot water. The taps were also stylish but impractical, there is no way to control the strength of the water flow independently of the temperature, this meant that water went everywhere and flooded the bathroom whenever you took a shower.
Inside the room a fridge, mini bar, kettle with tea + coffee, safe, iron, ironing board, desk, TV, shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion were provided. The bed was large and comfortable, however the pillows were a bit too soft for my taste, nevertheless I slept well. Air conditioning was good, and so was the Wifi.
Breakfast was buffet style, with 6 hot options daily , a variety of cereals, fruits, bread, cheese, cooked meats, pastries, juice, tea and coffee. They also had the signature Portuguese egg tarts, plus a waffle maker, which was a nice touch.
So to sum up, if you are ok with the annoyances of the room which I listed above then you will have a pleasant stay, otherwise I'd advise you to look elsewhere. I for one won't be coming back here.
Good hotel Minimalist but too black for my taste. Fantastic bed and excellent rooms with terrace.
Very nice hotel, spacious and comfortable room.
Very pleasant staff.
Great location, friendly and very nice evening with friends and staff! See you soon
Nice enough hotel, but be sure you want to take a shower in front of everyone in the room. The bath tub is literally in the room by the bed. There is no way to take a shower in private.
Good hotel, but be careful even if it seems at first glance the water in the room is not free for all guests.
Awesome breakfast, 3 - 4 minutes walk from the metro station, view to the streets ( noisy in the night), dark theme hallways, friendly staff
The location of the hotel is a bit special in that it is not really in the tourist center of the city, but not entirely outside it, and it has a relatively noisy and quiet side: across the street is a supermarket with delivery traffic very early in the morning and several times During the night, patrol cars leave the nearby police headquarters with a great roar. So: take the room facing the backyard: wonderful!
The house is very modern and extremely customer-friendly, and attentive and well-trained staff make you feel very well looked after. The breakfast is rich and fresh, special requests are always possible!
The food was amazing, and the service was great, albeit the place was pretty expensive. The hallways, however, didn't match the hotel, thougj I did like the creepy thinness and silence of it
I went on a study visit with my class. On a professional level it is an all inclusive hotel with an excellent organization. Otherwise, very clean and comfortable.
This is a great hotel. The service was wonderful, check-in was a smooth and easy process (and the cookie wad delicious).
Breakfast was delicious with a great selection.
The room was peculiar, very modern boutique. The bathroom had no door for the toilet and the bathtub/shower is clear. So, this means there is a privacy concern.
The noise level can be a little high as we could hear upstairs and neighbors on the side.
Location is pretty good and about a 9-10 minute walk to the nearest metro.
Overall positive experience.
The hotel is good, the staff are helpful and helpful, the room is small standard
Very good service, very high quality for sleeping, the king size bed and pillows are very very comfortable. Breakfast is very good. Some odd options in usability in the bathroom. Very central in Lisbon.
Great hotel. Will return when I visit Lisbon again. Staff where very helpful and breakfast was great. I loved the decor and the outside water feature was amazing. One other touch which double tree offer on arrival is a warm cookie. Yummy little treat.
Close to Metro station. Next to several shopping malls. Across the street from an indoor market with delicious rooster pigs, wines, cheese, and more.
It's an Ibis clone with worse conditions. You have better options in the same area at better prices.
Great breakfasts and nice atmosphere. Hotel staff made everything to be comfortable. I arrived 3 days before my birthday and the hotel congratulated me every day on the upcoming holiday with pleasant compliments. Good location of Hotel.
This place is amazing. Great location; can access the city center with a short walk. Plenty shopping activities along with transportation options
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend of leisure in Lisbon. We were very happy with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The location is 30mins north of most of the city's mainstay tourist attractions with easy public transport links around. The decor is a little "moody", lots of black and glass. Breakfast was standard hotel fare but the accompanying acoustic guitarist on the Saturday morning was very cool.
Very nice design hotel with modern rooms
Is a bit far from the center, but the underground station is not far away
Nice hotel, close to subway station to easily get around Lisbon.
Modern hotel with easy access to public transportation
Much more modern than a normal Doubletree. Great staff that is extremely friendly and helpful. Convenient location that is near several restaurants and easy walking distance to most nightlife. Loved Lisbon and if definitely stay here again.
Good location but not so happy with the rest. There is no letter or more information about the Room Service. Breakfast is 18!
Great service, especially for tourists. Extremely moden atmosphere.
This hotel could not have been better. It was a bit of a walk (25 min) to the downtown area but the walk was worth it to see what the city has to offer. The hotel rooms are unique and while I could have done without the disco lights in the More
Dark interior, but comfortable rooms. The rooms have great drapes that prevent any light from coming it - great if you need to catch up on sleep. Very good breakfast bar. Overall, good for business travelers, family would be better off in another hotel.
The hotel is very good but there are two details that I did not like at all. One, there are bottles of water that have a role of Free in large ... well no .. in small print it is only for members with a loyalty card. Beware that they charge 2.5 euros for each one. Another, 5 minutes after finishing the breakfast they wanted to charge 2 euros for a few pieces of melon. Finally take care with the child's crib as it is for hobbits
Nice hotel with professional staff, good breakfast and dinner.
Overall a very nice and clean hotel. Downside: windows are not open, so not pleasant, if you are used to fresh air. Breakfast in buffet form excellent, everything fresh and plentiful selection.
Loved the staff.. v helpful and excellent customer service.. great breakfast and they help you enjoy your vacation/stay in Lisbon. The front staff was kind to bring me balm for my kid who had a leg sprain.
Very basic hotel as Hilton facilities. No proper business centre; no swimming pool, no zacuzi, no steam room or spa.
However all the colleagues are genuinely helpful and humble. One of the best hotel I have stayed with limited facilities colleagues are confident and polite to handle the situation. Breakfast and front office colleagues are just excellent!
Superb hotel with exceptional staff! I recommend +++
Paid the premium to stay over at a Hilton property. Unfortunately, not very Hilton like. Hotel needs some spending on noise proofing. Very very very noisy in the evening from the street and from the other rooms, as if the other guests were in my room. Rooms are a bit shabby. Housekeeping keeps barging into the room and once I was away, they left without even closing the door. Finally, at the check out, i found out that the water bottles kept on my bed side that i was expecting to be complimentary (as they usually are), were 3 Eur each.
Dark, smelly, loud, unfriendly armosphere. Medium sized rooms with modern, cold and dark design, loud. Great breakfast though.
Nice business stay in central Lisbon. They rooms are fine with beds that are comfortable and bathrooms that are clean.
The start time for breakfast is not always right at 7 (usually within 10 minutes of 7), but the staff is friendly and did a great job checking in and making sure I was comfortable.
I really wanted to give it 5 Stars...However there were a few things that kept me from doing that. There are many reviews on here that talk about the convenient location, modern upgrade to it, etc. The two places it fell short had to do with the room and a tour arranged by the hotel. With respect to the room, the street sounds were very loud (we could even hear people talking, coughing as they walked on the sidewalk) which disturbed us at night; secondly the bathroom light (and shade controls) were on the outside of the bathroom so in the evening if someone needed to use the bathroom, they would turn on the light then open the door which then bathed the whole room in light...and then again when they got out of the bathroom; might need to rethink that solution. One other thing that may be of interest to sports fans...the rooms do not get SportTV (sort of like ESPN or SkySports) so you have to go to the bar to watch WorldCup Soccer, Formula 1, etc. With regards to the tour, the hotel staff were very nice in reaching out to me before we checked in to see if they could help with anything... something for the room, restaurant reservations, tour of Sintra, etc. Since our time in Lisbon was short, we agreed to a 1/2 day tour of Sintra at a reasonable price for our family of 4; the reality was that it was really just transportation.... the driver took us to the Palace ticketing booth and told us to get (and pay for) our tickets go on the tour and he'd meet us back in that spot in 2 hours. The lines were so long, that we didn't even get to go inside the Palace after spending 49euros on them....and the driver told us after "oh, yes, Monday's are very busy here because the museums are closed". Not a happy camper after spending for a tour just to get transport, buying tickets that couldn't be refunded. When I explained to the hotel front desk, they did give me a 50% credit on the tour cost which I do appreciate...the hotel does need to, imho, be more clear on what to expect for the "tours" they offered. I would return to this hotel...overall the staff were fantastic, nice, courteous, helpful, always smiling. At the breakfast buffet they were always ready to help (with the waffle maker, milk for coffee, new plates, etc.), housekeeping with extra towels if needed, etc. and the front desk for trying to help with some compensation for the tour that wasn't a tour as most of us think of one. I would ask for a room away from the streets though.
Although well located, the installations, specially the rooms are not the best. Breakfast is simple and nothing to wrote home about.
I've run conferences at this event for several years, friendly staff, cookie upon arrival. Conference facilities are trendy, underground, and reasonably priced. Internet holds up well, we live stream to the internet with no problems. Copes with 100+ geeks each with 3+ devices using the WiFi.
What a grand place but unfortunately don't have many different drinks to offer and understaffed
We placed our room service card outside the door at 3 p.m. our 1st day due to needing breakfast service by 6.30 a.m. - before the buffet opened. We awoke at 6 a.m. but no breakfast was delivered before our 7 a.m. departure. The card clearly states to place the card outside the room before 2 a.m. - we provided more than enough time for service. When we notified the front desk, no action was taken to rectify the situation. As Hilton Gold members we were disappointed.
The hotel buffet is ok. The rooms are clean - though no privacy due to the bathroom being a giant window. Decor was not welcoming and location was ok.
Good hotel in the price / performance ratio. Modern facility. But very clairaudient.
I didnt like it at all. The style was totally out of my standards, everything was Black. We spent few days there for conpany seminar in a black room in the basement! We had also lunch and dinner there and It was not good neither.
The hotel interior reminds me of a perfect mix of Adams family and The Jetsons.. There wasn t any Diamond member perks other than free WiFi and breakfast. An upgrade wasn t on anyone s mind except mine. Staff is friendly in general. The location is quite good.
The rooms are small and the hallways are dark and unwelcoming. Paper thin walls allows you to hear everything that your neighbor is doing saying (yelling) at 1am. Has everything you would need. The hairdryer didn t work but otherwise everything was standard. Housekeeping was a disaster. Left the room at 9:45am and when we returned at 3:30pm the room had not even been touched. After a request from reception to have the room cleaned came back to find minimal done. Basically they emptied the trash and provided a few towels. Completely unacceptable. The restaurant downstairs was good as was the breakfast. The chairs in the reception area are interesting which include claws that scratch upon trying to get out of them Not sure that the value matched the price we paid for the room.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. Very helpful with everything. Guilhermo recommended a fabulous restaurant within walking distance Horta Dos Brunos. The restaurant was incredible. The service from the staff and quality of breakfast was awesome. They even had live Portugese music during breakfast with Brut. I was so happy with this hotel that I returned for a second night after getting bumped off my flight traveling standby. Thank you for everything you guys!
Clean hotel. Helpful staff. They have hand towels. The tv has many English stations. Comfortable beds.
Young and dynamic team led by the young Joaquim Pinheiro who receives with service 5 stars best breakfast of Lisbon, in the bar a very talented and friendly bartender always worried about our table. Very clean rooms. Best Hilton undoubtedly at the human resources level, thank you Joaquim Pinheiro ....
Excellent Hotel I missed your design but good attention
Nice breakfast, friendly staff and convenient for the metro with both Saldanha as well as Picoas stations very close by. Clean rooms, with very modern decor, they recognised our Hhonors status and upgraded us.
Exceptional lobby. Good bar and breakfasts. The rooms are comfortable.
Nice hotel 10 minutes from the metro station. Minimal decoration, very polite staff.
